This is the sequel to last year's special, "Relight: Visons of a God."

I am told it's the story of the battle between Kira

and those who carry on my name after my death.

From here on, this will be for those of you who haven't seen the original series.

L. The world-class investigator pursuing Kira.

His identity was shrouded in mystery,

but he makes his first public appearance in the midst of the Kira investigation.

With his focused intellect and swift actions,

he corners Light Yagami and seeks Kira's true identity.

I suspect that you, Light Yagami, are in fact, Kira.

Ryuk. The Shinigami attached to Light Yagami.

Curious by nature, he becomes bored with the Shinigami world

and descends to the human world.

At times, he cooperates with Light Yagami's plans,

and at times he remains indifferent.

He finds the situation entertaining.

It's just as I thought. Humans are...so interesting!

Misa Amane. The Second Kira who possesses the Shinigami eyes.

She cooperates with Light Yagami under the guise of her acting and modeling work.

Claiming she would do anything for him, she possesses an evil spirit.

And if it came to that...

I'm still stronger than he is, because I have the eyes!

The members of the Japanese task force,

who left their positions with the police in order to cooperate with L.

These are the few dedicated detectives who risked their lives

and constantly flirted with danger as they pursued Kira.

These are the members of our collective team

investigating the Kira case.

and finally...we identified Higuchi, who appeared to be the true Kira.
