The first love of Glaucus for the Greek Ione. The jealousy of the Egyptian priest Arbaces. The blind Nydia.

Glaucus moved by pity, buys Nydia, to thus save her from the rough hands of her masters.

Glaucus orders Nydia to bring flowers to the Greek Ione. Nydia, who loves her benefactor, tries to hide her grief.

In the house of the Greek Ione. Misled by the false Arbaces, Nydia believes that she is loved by her benefactor.
