People compare this show to Harry Potter

but I think it's better because it has fairies.

That's why I call it Fairy Potter.

I feel like it's catchier.

The show takes place in a magical world where teenagers have both magic powers

and cell phones.

Everybody wants to escape in a fantasy world

but you're getting greedy.

It's like, "I want to fly and tweet about it."

It'd be flying with a lot of selfies of "Look who's above the castle."

What I loved about the show is

even fairies think people from California are weird.

Isn't that right, Abigail?

Yeah, and wait until they find out I'm from Florida.

At the end, Bloom tells her parents she's been at fairy school the whole time.

They were relieved she wasn't a theater major.

I'll talk to Abigail first and then the entire cast a little later.

How'd you see that?

Were you in the hospital being born and it was on the TV?

Yeah, my mom played it for me the minute I came out of the womb, on the screen.

The show is not about me. It should be.

Maybe I'll do a spin-off. Um…

But the show you're on is great. It's a huge hit.

You have the power of fire, which I think is the good one.

But I'm a little scared of fire. How are you with real fire?

-I'm not afraid of it. -Yeah.

Maybe to the point where I decide to jump over it and break both of my wrists.

Sounds like a Florida thing. What happened?

I think it is honestly a Florida thing.

I think I get home to Florida and I'm so bored

that I just don't know what to do.

So I challenged myself at a bonfire.

-Challenged yourself? -Myself, dared myself.

I used to hurdle in high school.

I was not good at it but I did track,

and I thought, for some reason still, I could hurdle over a campfire.

-Yeah. -And so I did.

I landed it,

but then on the fifth time I just ate it,

and I went, "Pfft!" Landed on both my wrists and then…

-You broke both? -Yeah.

-You challenged yourself five times? -

Know what's funny? I actually broke both my wrists skateboarding in a pool once.

And it is not fun.

-So I… -No.

-Wow. Were you in--? -We have that in common. Yes.

I had to walk around-- I looked sort of cool. Two casts.

-You get a lot of attention. People… -That's what I want.

I studied all of her videos for this.

Anybody coach you through this?

They had to literally hire a dance teacher for me

because I move so awkwardly, like I cannot dance.

It took at least about, I would say two days

for me to do this movement without being like, weirdly… I don't--

I saw you walk in and people were whispering.

-Yeah. -

I have a movement coach to get me up those stairs. Um…

So when you saw it all put together, that whole thing…

So you're in there doing it and it's all green screens and harnesses

and movement coaches and awkwardness,

when you see it put together, was it exciting to see that it looks cool?

It was shocking, honestly, 'cause it was…

I mean, yeah, it was really cool.

While we were there, you can see…

you can't see in the background, but that was a whole big green screen

that I was just in front of all day.

There were guys in the back that were in these full-blown green suits.

Never saw their faces.

And they had these blowers that they had to blow my hair.

It was like a leaf blower. They were there all day.

That was their job, to just blow my hair.

Some superhero movies feel like that's the whole thing.

-Honestly. -Just guys with tennis balls on sticks.

And they're, you know…

-"Hey, there's a rocket." All that. -Seriously.

I don't usually do that. My movies are low budget.

The big one at the end, was that shot first or at the end or when did you do it?

Um, this one was…

No, this was shot at the end.

The fire versus water one was actually the first scene that we shot.

Like first day, first scene.

But it actually is not the one that's in the show.

It was cut.

And I'm like…

The one that is in the show we shot at the very end.

And they just needed to reshoot it, which I still am like, "Is it…?"

I think that's a good sign because sometimes if you do things early

and they see that they're shooting and it's going well, and it looks good,

they will put the money in to say,

"Let's redo that one and make it even better."

"That's how we start the show. We need it to look great and match the rest."

Or, "Our actress was horrible the first day."

Screwed it up. Like, oh, my God.

Yeah. I'm giving you the producer's view of what happened.

-Thank you. -That's hysterical.

Who is the dreamiest Specialist?

-Oh. -Ooh.

Ooh.

I mean, Bloom would say Sky.

Sky was good looking, and--

He's a good looking guy.

They all are. Believe me, I was angry. I was watching the whole thing.

I was like, "What a coincidence. They're all great looking dudes." Uh…

You shot a scene at the waterfall with him and he…

It's a sort of a romantic scene

but sometimes those things aren't as romantic when you shoot them.

Was that one of those?

Oh, yeah, the waterfall was so loud we could barely hear each other.

He'd be like, "It's okay, Bloom."

I'd be like, "What? What are you saying?"

It's like right before the kiss too, "I can't hear you."

Do you think Professor Dowling,

this is a good question, faked her own death

and then she can come back on season two?

Whoa!

-I would like for that. -Right. She would like that.

How would she have faked her own death though?

-I can't tell you. -Break her own neck?

I know but I can't tell you.

…sometimes it's such a big hit like this, then they say,

"People like that character let's try to find a way to come back."

It's a magical show, anything can happen.
