Jesus Christ. Another one?
Hey, it's okay. It's okay.
Hey, I'm here.
I'm here. Open your eyes.
Open your eyes.
What was it about?
I don't want.. I don't want to talk about it.
Okay.
It hasn't been this bad since I was little.
It'll get better.
It always does.
I could feel it.
It.. It hurt.
Nothing's gonna hurt you, not while I'm here.
I-I swear I won't let it.
What if you can't stop it?
Bad dreams?
They don't stand a chance against these guns.
I love it when you smile.
Feeling better?
Good.
Today's the day.
I know.
Aren't you excited?
Mm hmm.
Then what's wrong?
Nothing.
I-I just don't feel very good.
Well, there's only one cure for that.
Hmm?
Banana pancakes.
Come on. I'll make you some.
No. I'm not hungry.
But I am.
And if I don't have breakfast, then I'm just gonna have to eat you!
I want the pancakes!
If you want to enrich your
education about cinema, come on down to cinema books.
Do that thing!
Do that, do that thing!
You all know.
You're listening to the daily drive duo, Caine and Renegade.
Any minute now.
Welcome back, Kiddies.
It's 9:00 in the A.M., and you know what that means.
It's time to announce the winner of our Haunted Theater Contest!
And we have partnered with the historic Everett Theater and
Mr. Gideon Black, who has just donated an enormous amount of
money to help save the place and to offer one brave soul
$50,000 to spend one night alone in the theater.
And not just any night, but on the 80th anniversary of the
death of its former owner, his wife, and her lover.
The place has reportedly been haunted ever since the violent
deaths of the three in the theater in 1932.
Mr. Black has agreed to give $50,000 to the winner of the
contest.. If, that is, they are still upright in the morning.
Ooh!
We asked you to write in to tell us why you need the money
and why we should choose you as the winner of the contest.
The entries were all judged by Mr. Black himself, and he has
chosen a winner.
And I have their name right here.
Drumroll, if you please.
And the winner is...
Andrew Stephens!
Holy shit.
Congratulations, Andrew.
I won! I won, Mira!
I won!
$50,000.
We don't have to worry anymore.
Oh, come on. Don't give me this.
Everything's gonna be different now.
Not everything.
No.
No. Hey.
Not everything.
Things will be better.
I promise.
Can I get a smile out of you, please?
Look at me. I love you.
I'd do anything for you.
Anything.
Oh, oh, just.. Just hold me, okay?
Don't let go.
Well, here goes nothing.
Let's get out and take a look, shall we?
I'll be right back, Emma.
Okay.
She's a beaut, ain't she?
Let's see how the inside measures up.
You're coming, right?
Hold down the fort, Captain.
You must be Andrew.
You must be Mr. Black.
Guilty as charged.
It's a pleasure to meet you, Sir.
The pleasure's all mine, Andrew.
Bob, the caretaker.
Uh, nice to meet you, Bob.
Likewise.
Uh, so I just have to ask..
I'm not the butt of some elaborate joke, am I?
No jokes, My Boy.
This is all very real.
More real than you can imagine.
I was hoping you'd say that.
Don't worry, Andrew.
I'm a man of my word.
You'll get your check.. If, of course, you make it through the night.
Why wouldn't I?
You're about to find out.
Shall we begin?
Might as well.
Come along, Andrew.
Your history lesson begins now.
Welcome to your quarters for the evening.
I think it'll be big enough.
I should certainly hope so.
I've lived here my entire life.
I've never been inside this place.
I always wondered what it was like.
And is it everything you always thought it would be?
Yeah, you could say that.
It's the oldest operating theater in the state, you know.
And still the most beautiful.
Almost as beautiful as the first day it opened.
I'm sure it is.
It ain't.
Is it always this cold?
We don't turn the heat on unless there's a show going on.
Too damn expensive.
You'll want to wear plenty of layers to stay warm.
I'm sure I can handle that.
So much to see and so little time to see it in.
I think the best place to start would be up there.
Come.
You're the boss.
Ain't my boss.
Some of the greatest entertainers of the Vaudeville
era have graced this stage..
From the great Alexander to Lon Chaney.
Can't you just feel the history under your feet?
Yeah, definitely.
Yeah, guess who's got to clean it up.
Isn't it magnificent?
It's nicer than any stage I've ever been on.
You're a performer?
Uh, no.
I mean, I took a few years of drama in high school, but mainly
Shakespeare and stuff.
Splendid!
Then you should feel right at home here.
Uh, yeah.
Why is it so dark?
Well, the house lights ain't working.
Same goes for half the lights in this theater.
The renovation crew is working to fix that, but I'm
told it's still going to take some time.
So, that's the only light I have?
The ghost light?
Yes. Here on the stage, anyway.
Ghost light?
Yes. That's what it's called.
One is always kept lit on the stage when the rest of the house is dark.
Most theaters do the same, mainly for safety, though some
for more superstitious reasons.
To give the ghosts a light to perform by and all that.
Nonsense, of course.
Of course.
Here, it's so you can see where you're going.
Most of the lights in the rest of the theater do work, though
some have been known to fail without warning.
Well, I mean, this looks reliable.
Bring a flashlight.
Good idea.
Right here is where they found them.
The... Bodies?
Two of them, anyway.
The third was found in a dressing room downstairs.
But we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
Here is where they found Reginald and Madeline Crawford.
Reginald owned the theater from 1920 to 1932.
Madeline was his wife.
She was quite a famous singer in those days.
Reginald bought the theater mainly as a showcase for her talents.
He even tried to get her into pictures.
He made a screen test for her that we found tucked away in the projection booth.
We had a DVD made and held a screening.
She was quite... Bewitching.
And he killed her, didn't he?
Indeed, he did.
She wasn't exactly the most faithful of wives.
Come, let me show you the dressing rooms.
Down here is where he caught them.
Them?
Madeline and the theater organist, Eddie.
What were they doing?
Reginald had been working late that night, tending to the
books, when he heard some strange noises coming from the
