This old asylum is located in the small town
of Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
Many souls still wandered the halls of this 20,000
square foot structure that was built in 1954
and served the small community as a nursing home.
Over time, makeshift rooms were created
to house asylum patients with chronic
and severe mental illnesses.
Decades would pass before the facility would cease operations
and fall into disrepair.
In the 1990s, a halfway home for children and teens
use the north wing of the building.
The locals spoke about the underhanded and inhumane
practices that went on during this time.
When the halfway home for children closed,
a trauma center would acquire the right wing of the building.
I was informed that members of the medical staff
refused to continue working due to frequently seen
full-bodied apparitions of deceased patients and shadow
figures roaming the halls.
Eventually, the trauma center would
relocate to another location.
The entire complex sat abandoned for years
until a pastor decided to construct
his church within the right wing of the building.
The pastor and his two workers immediately
encountered the actions of an aggressive spirit that caused
them to flee the building.
They vowed to never return to the location.
Soon after this incident, the vacant structure would
be purchased by Ashley Storm.
While renovating the building, Ashley and employees
immediately started experiencing paranormal activity
such as shadow figures, disembodied voices,
poltergeists, and attacks from unseen forces.
Join me as I investigate this haunted asylum in an effort
make contact with the aggressive entity
that is known to physically harm people that enter the building.
So we had about 400 deaths in the trauma center,
and that's not even counting the bodies
we kept for the morgue that was stored back in that room.
From the accounts that I saw, we had at least 90 bodies
that were stored here when it was
used for the makeshift morgue.
But then we've had three documented suicides
over on the north wing.
And then we don't have an exact amount of numbers
from the nursing home itself and from the asylum,
but I'm willing to say it's well over 500
because it was opened in 1954.
It was a very long time span before it shut down.
Sometimes they weren't taken care of to the best
of their abilities.
So you have, you know, the 70 years worth of just
nothing but despair.
Basically, this was the end of the line for a lot of people,
whether it be the trauma center or the nursing home,
or the makeshift asylum that it ended up becoming.
And even the halfway home, a lot of those kids
didn't have families that cared, didn't have people
to look after them in life.
So it really was the end of the line.
Shadow figures, literally, like skittering shadow figures.
We actually see that a lot right here in this hallway.
Something crawls back and forth.
It's really creepy.
But we also have disembodied voices,
we have a little girl that we hear constantly.
And she's really big on saying hi as loud as she possibly can.
Even during broad daylight, you'll hear her.
We have disembodied voices, we have people
getting scratched, pushed.
Lots of things thrown at people or at the walls, of very
intelligent interactions.
We actually have had people with the scratches,
like visible scratches.
And at some points, actually, appears
like, right when we're looking at it, somebody will say, hey,
this feels hot.
We look and then you actually see it
like appearing as it happens.
It's happened on people's neck right here.
Nick, one of our more prominent residents from the north wing,
he loves scaring people.
He loves trying to get guys to kind of just leave.
And he'll throw stuff at you, he'll push you.
Nick is definitely the most prominent.
And I feel like he kind of, not necessarily
controls everybody else in here, but he sets the tone for them.
Like if he's in a bad mood, they kind of just--
they're quiet because they don't want to upset him almost.
He was very aggressive, very in-your-face.
Just get out, get out, get out.
And he loves that energy gets off of you.
So he'll try and, he'll try and scare you as much as he can.
The Marshallese came in from the Marshal Islands.
They came in and tried to build a church right here.
And actually right here at this threshold,
where this concrete ends, they were trying to build
the church down in this wing.
And from the accounts from both the pastor
and two of the gentlemen who were working here,
because I didn't believe it until I heard it myself,
the pastor got pushed and then board started flying.
And they said that they all heard someone
scream, get out of them.
And I think because of what Nick practiced in life,
I told you guys earlier, he dabbled a little bit
in satanic worship.
He just had an inkling in life, but definitely didn't like
the church being built here.
So he was very aggressive with getting them out.
And if you look back here, they actually left all
of their building materials.
They left over $4,000 worth of wood and building materials
back here.
Because it was tainted and they didn't want to touch it.
They actually opened up not even a block
down the street from us.
We built right there, but they refused to come back in.
None of them will.
They won't even drive past here.
Listening to the stories of the hauntings only
intrigued me more.
I could feel the energy within the location
as I walked around to get a better feel of my surroundings,
not realizing that we just captured amazing evidence.
I'm absolutely blown away by this footage of a shadow figure
that we managed to document in broad daylight.
This figure is behind the door, moving fast,
as if the entity sees us approaching.
Could this shadow figure be the aggressive spirit
named Nick that Ashley told me about during our interview?
I believe that this night investigation
is going to be intense, considering that whoever
the shadow figure might be, could be following us
and waiting until night to attack.
Are something moving around who's super clear.
Someone in here with us?
There's a voice.
Someone in here?
It's a weird feeling in here right now.
I've been feeling this frustration,
a little bit of anger.
Definitely different energy has come over me,
like a dark cloud in here.
A lot of things haven't been working like our cameras,
losing our keys to the car then we found them down the hallway,
which we weren't even down.
It's definitely a really creepy building.
I will say that one of the strangest places I've been to.
With tons of dust, tons of--
look kind of like a weird.
I felt like I just backed up into somebody.
My spine felt this strange, warm tingling, like sensation
down my back right here.
It's like I just pushed against someone and someone's like,
stop.
I could feel that physical--
are you in here with me?
Did you just touch my back?
That's the reason why we're here,
is because people are physically being touched, grabbed,
scratched, pushed.
I've heard a lot of stories of this location
and what you do to people in here.
It's such a weird environment.
Very decrepit, very dark, gloomy,
has this oppressive feeling to it.
It's the best way I can describe what I'm feeling right now.
You know a location can be just as haunted without needing
ghosts or anything like that.
You're talking about hundreds of people that died here.
All that emotion, all that energy still continuing.
There's someone walking up behind you.
You didn't hear.
I thought someone was walking up behind you, man.
I've been seen--
I've been watching the monitor, but I've
been seeing things of the corner of my eye
as I'm trying to follow you.
So I keep feeling this like strange hand
push against my back.
It feels like a hand, but I can't
tell if it's the environment.
Just the way I'm feeling right now.
There.
That's right over here.
That.
OK, I got it.
There's a knock right behind you.
Well, this is getting creepy, dude.
I have crazy goose bumps.
Do you-- watch here, all right.
Are you making that sound so we know where you are?
I feel like we're really close to making contact
so let's try to use this device to see if they can speak to us.
Who's the one here touching people?
Do you have a name?
Is Nick here?
