to give them a fresh look using only preloved fashion...

I've got my sister's wedding coming up

and she's got, like, a colour theme going on.

She really did not consider you at all there, did she?

This is Second-hand Showdown.

Meet Ellie, a 23-year-old nurse from Bristol.

Let's just say my sister Ellie loves a bit of colour

and she's always dressing in mad prints.

The last few years have been tricky for her

but now she's about to embark on a new career

and I'd love to see her get a wardrobe makeover

and she starts this new chapter of her life.

I'm going to be training to be a dance movement psychotherapist.

I have had a lot of history of body issues,

not being comfortable in my own skin.

I just suffered quite a lot with anorexia nervosa

when I was at uni.

So I'm very particular about the type of style of clothes.

Ellie's making her way to my preloved palace,

where we've secretly prepared

the clothes she no longer wants to be sold online,

so someone else can love them.

Ellie, welcome to your wardrobe.

I can't believe I'm actually seeing all my clothes.

First of all, it makes me realise how addicted I am.

I was looking at this wall this morning,

and I was like, "Whoever I'm going to meet is fun and quirky."

I do like a bit of colour, I have to admit.

It's got me kind of wondering, babe,

why do you want the change?

Because this, to me, is you.

I started my nursing training in 2018

and myself and my best friend had to go on to Covid units

and Covid wards, not knowing what we were going to see,

and it took a toll a lot

emotionally and mentally.

I want to just change a little bit.

It's a fresh start for me and someone else as well.

Someone else gets to enjoy these clothes

as much as I've enjoyed them.

It's a really nice way of looking at it.

And we want a wardrobe that doesn't leave behind

any of your beautiful spirit, your colourful soul,

your quirkiness.

But it needs to represent this new chapter

and leave all of these potentially negative things in the past.

Yeah, definitely.

So next, I have two fabulous stylists

who are going to show you some outfits that they've pulled

that they think would be perfect

for this next step you're about to take.

Introducing our two incredible in-house stylists -

Sabrina Grant and Joey Bevan.

They've styled some of the world's biggest celebs

and are both absolute pros at shopping preloved.

I am absolutely obsessed

with preloved fashion.

My favourite bit is when they're looking in the mirror

and they see themselves for the first time

in a look that I've put together for them.

I love fashion. I think you can have

so much fun by expressing who you are

with the clothes that you wear.

We've estimated how much Ellie's clothes will fetch online

and given Sabrina and Joey the same amount to spend on preloved pieces.

I want to bring in some sporty elements

that are still stylish for Ellie.

Ellie is the perfect person for me to style

because she is already very adventurous, which I love,

so this is going to be a great task for me.

Only one collection will go home with Ellie,

and the pressure to impress starts now.

We're going to have one winner at the end of the day. Yeah, me.

While Joey susses out the competition from his corner,

Sabrina's going to show Ellie what she's got to offer

in her style studio.

Do you know what? it's giving me Freddie Mercury. Really?

So this kind of gives it a bit of an elevated feel.

How do you think? I've not really worn dresses

in a really long time just because of, like, body image

and issues with that.

So this might be really liberating for me.

It's all trial and error. We're dressing up. Exactly.

It's all about how we feel at the end of the day,

so that's really important.

We've got some cute, very cute, graphic tees for you.

Cherries. ..are very in. I've got some cherries in.

Oh, yeah, matching. So that is very, very sweet.

I really like those because they can go with anything as well.

Joey, are you quaking in your boots over there?

I'm feeling very confident right now,

but, you know, it's nice, it's nice.

Right. I feel like you are someone who can definitely pull off...

..a sequined... Exactly. ..sequins on a weekday.

It actually feels really soft as well

because you didn't think that sequins would feel soft,

but they feel good.

We've also got a couple of skirts.

I love this skirt. It's denim.

It's like hiding stuff.

It's patterned in there. That's lovely.

It's really nice. I really like it.

I like how simplistic the top is as well,

because this is just not what I would normally pick.

The jacket was practically new,

so you're paying like a fraction of the price for a beautiful piece.

I like it because it hides, and you're like...wham! Mm-hm.

I absolutely love these trousers.

A little itchy on the bum, but it doesn't matter.

How do you feel? Yeah. I mean, like, uncomfortable, because it's a dress

and it's not normally what I would wear at this time in my life,

but I can appreciate it on.

I know it's pushed you out of your comfort zone a little bit.

But I think you look amazing.

Sabrina's done really well

and she's taken me out of my comfort zone a lot,

so Joey's got to watch out.

I was getting a bit worried about how quiet Joey's been,

but I know that face - this is a man with a plan.

I wanted to go for something a little bit more

sort of like funky street wear

that you can wear when you go and do your dance therapy.

Yeah. So I've got you some... Ooh.

And I have got stuff like a real oversized hoodie...

Nice. ..which I feel like you could possibly wear. I love an oversized.

And then the last is my favourite piece...
