where things are growing better all the time.

It's been a berry bad winter.

Howling wind, slippery ice...

buckets of rain and snow so deep...

I haven't seen my friends for weeks.

It's a good thing I have pictures of them...

or I might forget what they look like.

There's Angel Cake.

Angel is a wonderful artist...

and she makes the most beautiful cakes you've ever seen.

In fact, I miss her angel food cake almost as much as I miss her.

That's Orange Blossom. She's so much fun...

and you should see her garden.

She grows everything.

At least when the sun is shining.

Ginger Snap bakes the best cookies you've ever tasted--

Chocolate chips, macaroons...

peanut butter.

Mmm.

Then there's Huck. He sails all around on his skateboard.

But even Huck couldn't get here after the latest snowstorm.

But the good news is it's almost spring.

"Pwing"?

I forgot. You don't know what spring is, do you, Apple Dumplin'?

Oh, it's wonderful.

Besides, spring is when we do all the planting in Strawberryland.

We plant in the springtime so that later we can have a brand-new crop of berries.

Berries.

There's so much to do.

We better get started.

First, we'll make a list.

Could you keep it down? I am trying to take a nap.

Custard, Pupcake, this is no time for sleeping.

Spring is coming. We have work to do.

Now we need a shovel.

Nope. We have everything we need to plant the seeds.

Help me sort through these. We have blueberries...

gooseberries, strawberries, of course.

Huckleberries.

We'll be able to play outside and hear the birds chirping...

and see all the flowers blooming.

I can't wait till spring is finally sprung.

Did I ever mention that I scattered seeds in Sunflower City?

My seed-scattering went so well the sunflowers sprouted all the way up to the clouds.

You had to climb a tall ladder just to get a whiff of them.

Okay, everyone. This is great.

All we have to do is work together, and we'll be done in no time.

And I can't put them in the ground until the ground is dug up.

I wish I could get everyone to work together.
