If we're doin' a lowrider, we gotta do hydraulics.

We're adding a lotta guts to this Caddy, with a lotta hydraulics and tubing,

and everything else that'll get this car to hoppin' around.

So I have to make sure there's space for everything.

We don't want any of our hoses gettin' caught in the suspension,

causin' fluid to go everywhere.

Not only could it ruin the paint job and the interior,

but it'll make you look like a fool in front of everyone you show off to.

Shaved the bumpers on it.

The fender flares, of course, stanced out.

Four-wheel disc brakes, independent rear suspension.

I mean, this little car's got everything.

It's ready to rock. It'd be a great car for a teenager.

I'll be honest. My daddy said, "Son, it ain't fast enough to kill you,

and that's one thing I like."

The leather's really kept up great.

It's gorgeous. All original too, I'm telling you.

You know, right now, we're askin' 40 grand for this.

I'm looking at close to around 30,000.

I don't know if you can swing it and kind of work with me on those numbers.

You know, I can work with you, but I can't work with you quite that much.

I'm really needing to kind of stay closer to my budget.

Yeah, this is back when they built cars.

This is German engineering at its best.

Imagine this thing,

I mean, you're gonna be, like, the best dad in the world.

The cost of the car and the restorations were $19,200.

So it's a nice profit at almost 16 grand.

But spring is on its way,

and even solid builds like this won't get us to that $500,000 goal.

This does go with Rabbit's point.

A big swing is the only way we're gonna get there.

Our shop is new to the lowrider scene,

so, in order to legitimize the build,

I've been working on the paint scheme with painters from Drive Rodz and Restos,

who are famous here in the El Paso lowrider community.

And this will increase the value and give us more street cred.

A lowrider paint job, you've gotta start with a flake.

So we had flake. Gotta have a candy, so we had candies.

You won't have a lowrider unless you've got fades and pinstripes.

Too many layers on a lowrider is like asking a person

if there's too much closet space in a home.

There's no such thing.

You just go all out, and there is no stopping point.

So, really, "less is more" is not a term in the lowrider world.

It's like, "Get it on, man. Pour it on."

Lincoln Park is at the center of that.

Last time we took a car to sell at Lincoln Park,

we didn't get the attention we wanted, despite our super cool outfits.

This is our first custom lowrider, so we have to make a big impression

if we wanna get respect from the lowriding community.

I have a girlfriend that goes way back,

and she is, like, considered pretty iconic, queen of lowriding.

She's been on the cover of Lowrider Magazine

more than any other model.
