Die ersten 200 Zeilen.

This building has over 100 different rooms.

Can you make a loud noise, and it will come to you?

This is madison, ohio's boogeyman.

We keep hearing noises that are far away.

There are secrets in this building

That we don't know about yet.

I am internally freaking out.

There is dark energy.

It's masculine.

What was that?

A little girl, or are you something else?

He did something bad, and he wants to hide it.

This is a place where nightmares are made.

My name is dakota laden.

I am a documentary filmmaker.

For the past few years,

I've been investigating the paranormal with zak bagans

And the "ghost adventures" crew.

Dakota laden. Welcome, buddy.

I grew up in a house where paranormal activity

Terrorized my entire family.

It has gripped my sister, my childhood best friend,

And me ever since.

So, I had an idea -- a psychological experiment

Where I would test how terror affects the human mind,

What it reveals about our true selves,

And just how much a person can withstand.

To understand the paranormal,

First, we need to overcome our fear.

I'm leading us on a road trip to explore the most haunted,

Abandoned locations in all of america.

Each night, we'll separate, and sleep alone.

The catch is, I'm the only one who knows where we're going.

Let's go do some laundry.

Alright.

I am in desperate need of some clean clothes right now.

Go. Okay.

Right now, we are still in detroit, michigan,

And we are headed to a haunted, abandoned seminary in ohio.

This building is absolutely enormous.

It's been around for almost 200 years,

And has over 100 different rooms.

It started out as an elite boys school.

Then, it became a home for widows,

And after that, a psychiatric asylum for women.

Considering the amount of history this place has,

I feel that bringing chelsea into this location

Might be kind of a trigger,

Because, if there are this many women spirits

That are said to be in the building,

They might be able to relate to chelsea,

Maybe communicate with us.

What's everyone thinking right now?

Dude, it is just like... It's a grind.

It's...We're not getting any sleep.

Just so many things are going into this

That make this way more of a challenge than it should be.

You guys getting curious about where we're going?

- No. - No?

I don't want to know where we're going yet.

Let me enjoy my day.

- I won't say anything. - Yeah.

I won't even talk about how this location has notorious...

- Hey! - Okay.

- Hey! - But this won't ruin your day.

I promise.

A lot of women spent their time in this location.

You are a party pooper.

But don't worry.

It's not like a haunt that only picks on women.

If anything, they might respect you more there.

Geez, this is...

Tripping me out.

How many times on this road trip

Are we going to get stormed out of places?

That's so bizarre, actually, how frequent it's been.

Do you think it's, like, a bad sign --

Like this means something? That we're screwed?

What was that?

Bumpy roads.

- Is the table moving? - Pull over! Seriously!

Holy ****! - Stop the car.

Yeah.

We were on the highway.

The extended side to make more room started going out...

All of a sudden, we took a sharp turn,

And they just slid back, like, 3 feet.

And, obviously, that's not safe, so we pulled over.

This trail couldn't get any scarier.

Yeah. We're either cursed, or we're just **** out of luck.

I think it's a little bit of both.

So, it's a holiday weekend.

The nearest rental car place with an suv

To carry all of our equipment is hours away.

No taxis can fit all of our stuff.

So, it's looking like we are stuck here for a long time.

We are rv-less. Whoo.

We don't have a home.

We accidentally left a bunch of our stuff in there...

Sucks.

...All of our audio gear, everything.

We got some bad juju, guys.

Look at the hawk.

Caw-caw!

Fly us out of here, hawk.

We should really think about just getting a hotel

For the night, and then, making a new game plan.

I fell like I'm in a nightmare.

This is seriously not what I signed up for.

That just goes to show, if you don't have

A reliable source of transportation,

You can be totally screwed.

- I see a car. - Yeah.

- We got an suv. - Yeah, that's the one, baby.

Let's go. - I'm so happy.

We're getting home!

We made it to cleveland, ohio.

It was a very long, long day yesterday.

We lost the rv and, yeah.

So, right now, we're in a hotel, and I'm gonna go wake up

Chelsea and tanner, and let them read the packet.

I'm already, like, mind-warped.

This is just adding to the chaos of everything.

Alright, you guys.

You guys ready to find out where we're going?

I am. I guess so.

Let's do it. Let's do it.

Alright.

Okay. So, this is the packet.

I've done a lot of research,

And I have heard multiple stories now.

It's got a very unique history,

And there are many, many haunted stories.

How about, tanner, you start us up?

Alright.

Here we go.

"madison seminary."

"said to be the most haunted location of northeast ohio."

They call this place "the nuthouse."

This is madison, ohio's boogeyman.

I know the elders that come in.

They're in their sixties, seventies,

And they said, as a child,

Their parents would scare them, saying,

"if you're bad, we're going to take you to the nuthouse

Down on middle ridge."

Any floor you go to, every room,

You always feel like someone's watching you.

A lot of times, we'll be walking,

And you can hear footsteps behind you.

And then, you'll stop, and the footsteps will stop.

There's a spectrum of experiences at madison.

Things fall. Equipment doesn't work.

Cellphones don't work.

People want to leave the building.

Some people won't even walk into the building.

"the seminary has had several lives

Over its 174-year history."

The original structure was built in 1847.

That was actually known as "the madison seminary."

It started as a school, but caught its name

Because a lot of the boys that graduated

Ended up being priests.

That school would eventually shut down,

And the women's relief corps would take over.

Civil war widows, wives, nurses, sisters --

Anyone that was displaced after the civil war,

They kept them here.

And they were here for quite a long time.

This place was 95% women.

But by 1904, the court could no longer operate the building,

And they donated it to the state of ohio.

It was a widows' home, and it was an asylum.

Ohio department of mental hygiene took over.

They would keep taking women in at that time.

That's when there were probably

The worst conditions for these women.

There are secrets in this building

That we don't know about yet.

Many women were committed to madison,

Though they did not require its services,

And were trapped there against their will,

Subjected to staff abuse, rape, murder,

And, allegedly, forced abortions.

Jeez.

Whoever was in charge here, no doubt in my mind,

They treated these women like they were subhuman.

Women that shouldn't be getting pregnant in here

Were getting impregnated by, I assume, the staff.

And, possibly, either they were doing either illegal abortions,

Or after they'd have the baby,

The babies were just taken away automatically.

The stories of the women matter.

There's so much that's been untold.

The walls radiate memories.

There's layers on layers on layers of energies here,

And I think that they want to connect.

I think that memory needs to connect with something.

The most active areas of the seminary include the asylum.

There have been shadow figures seen here,
