Die ersten 200 Zeilen.
Boys. We got a contender here.
Yeah? You think?
- Oh, dude. - What?
- No chance. - What? Come on.
I'm going for it.
Watch and learn, boys.
I'm going in.
Hey. How you doing tonight?
Can I buy you a drink? - I already have one.
No, I mean, like, a real drink.
Hey, Mia.
Mia, can we get this lady here some Grand-Dad?
- No, no. - On me.
No. I... I'm good.
I'm... I'm meeting somebody.
Oh. You don't look like it.
So, uh, Valerie, how...
- Dude. What the hell? - Sorry.
Sorry. That's my bad.
Look, I'm not interested, okay?
So please just leave me alone.
I could. I could.
Or, um, I could take you home
and help you get out of those wet clothes.
You're disgusting.
I have to go.
Whoa.
See that move right there?
Pete, come on.
There's plenty more where that came from.
Listen, how about you and me go out there and...
Move your ass, loser.
Nice.
You bring both things?
Just relax. We're okay.
Hey, bitch.
I ain't paying for that glass.
Who's this?
You were supposed to come alone.
I did... it's just some drunk guy from the bar.
I mean it! Get your ass back in there!
- Get off me! - Hey. Let go of her!
What the hell was that?
You two making some kind of deal here?
- It's none of your business. - Well, it is now.
Give me the money.
Drugs too.
Look, that's not what this is.
What, do you think I'm kidding here?
Give it!
He saw our faces. Go!
Get out of here!
My God. Woody, what are you doing?
- Ask you the same thing. - Are you stalking me?
Whatever you're up to, I suggest you go now.
How's work?
It's good. Good.
I mean, I'm not sure anyone even likes me at work.
I mean, who likes their boss, right?
I've been through two new agents since Kristin left,
but I finally found a replacement for her.
Her name is Nina Chase.
She starts today.
Good.
I know that's been weighing on you.
It was actually my team's idea.
She used to work for another FBI squad upstairs.
So she knows how we roll,
and I don't have to break her in.
I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner.
Although...
What?
When I met with her yesterday, she...
She said something that kind of put me off.
She asked if Kristin's leaving had anything to do with me.
I guess I just didn't care for the tone of Nina's question.
It was like she was implying something about me.
You have been going through a lot lately
with the documentary on your brother's case coming out.
That's personal.
It's never affected my work, ever.
Okay. I believe you.
So we've covered work, your mother,
the Jets having a terrible season.
Mm. Terrible.
What am I missing?
Something is obviously on your mind.
Yeah.
Um...
What's that?
These are all to Corey.
- Your nephew. - Yeah.
I've been sweeter than pineapple juice to this kid,
and he's never replied to me.
Remy, he's a fourth-year medical student, right?
I'm sure he's just busy. - I don't think so.
We've been talking on the phone every now and then
up until a month ago, and now he's ghosting me.
A month ago is when the documentary came out.
Has he seen it?
I don't know. Maybe.
It could have triggered him again.
He could just be processing.
Yeah.
I mean, he doesn't even talk to his own mother anymore.
I wanted to be there for him
so we could process it together.
We're family.
You want my advice?
It's kind of what I'm paying you for.
Technically, you are family,
but it was a pretty big bomb you dropped in his lap
when you told him about Mikey.
Trauma is fluid.
It ebbs and flows, and everyone reacts to it differently.
My point is, I don't think this has anything to do with you.
Try not to take it personally.
So what do I do?
- Nothing. - Nothing.
You're gonna have to give him his space.
Just wait for him to come to you.
You're gonna have to be patient.
Is that him? Is that Corey?
No.
Someone named Barnes.
He says a case just came in.
She.
I gotta go.
Knock, knock.
There she is.
Nina Chase is in the building.
I got the Bat-call, so I came straight to the Batcave.
You look great. How's the baby?
Thank you. Wonderful.
Sleeps wonderfully, doesn't talk back, unlike his dad,
and everything's wonderful.
I have my stuff.
Where's my desk?
- You have a locker, no desk. - Yeah.
The only person with a station around here is Hana.
- Very special. - Yes, you are.
Nice to see you.
Good to see you too.
This is all very exciting.
Morning, everybody.
Welcome, Nina. - Thanks.
Catch me up to speed.
Murder and abduction
outside a bar in Salisbury, Virginia last night.
DOA on the left is Pete Sky, 42, unemployed.
Missing woman on the right is Valerie Watkins.
Case is ours 'cause she's a federal employee,
works for NASA at their flight control
facility on Wallops Island.
Anybody see it happen?
One of Pete's friends, Jud.
He said that Pete and Valerie were at the bar talking.
They went outside. He heard two gunshots.
He ran out with another buddy.
That's when they saw Pete dead on the ground.
They also saw a Toyota registered to Valerie
driving away with a white male in the backseat yelling at her.
Said she looked like she was terrified.
What's the relationship between Pete and Valerie?
Unknown.
Could it have to do with Valerie's work?
Valerie's cell is off,
and she didn't show up for work today.
And the BOLO is out on the Toyota.
Virginia State Police are currently searching
the 45-mile stretch between Salisbury
and Wallops Island. - All right.
Let's hit the road and get some answers.
You three take the crime scene.
Nina and I will go see Valerie's coworkers at NASA.
Hey. Let me see your phone.
Sure. What's up?
I'm gonna transfer you everyone's contacts.
Apologies in advance for Ray's picture.
- What? - This should be interesting.
That's her, but I don't know what Jud was talking about.
She wasn't hanging out with Pete.
She was trying to get him to leave her alone.
He wouldn't stop hitting on her, and it was gross.
So they didn't know each other?
No, but that never stopped Pete before.
He was a pain in the ass, especially when he was drunk.
We got two 40-caliber shell casings
and the knife that Pete was holding.
Now, he must have pulled it out to fight off the attack,
but there's no blood on it.
Any luck on video?
So one cam inside got the two of them at the bar,
but there's nothing here.
I'm gonna check the street cams.
Anything else you can think of that might help us?
I do remember she seemed nervous.
She said she was meeting somebody.
Who?
I have no idea.
