Die ersten 200 Zeilen.
Winter mining is entering the homestretch.
And the BSG family is getting desperate as the walls close in.
Nome's top boss...
We got McCully moving in.
...fighting to stay on top.
All walls down in the season,
we're going for it.
As he fends off the challenge from a young gangster.
Hundred ounce gold is closer and closer.
He's looking to make bank.
The Salty Don...
We're running out of time.
...refusing to go quietly.
Blast through that .
Trying to find gold down here.
And the wise guy...
...trying to crawl out from the abyss.
Jam that in there.
Yeah, baby.
In the final days, who will become a made man?
And who will get iced?
What's happening? damn it.
Hold on, hold on.
Get him out. Get him out now.
Get him up, get him up.
We got really good gold on this hole.
We're all set up. I'm gonna go down, clean it up.
Once I get this hole finished off, cleaned up,
then we're gonna move over here.
We'll put a lot of gold in the box.
Short amount of time.
Killing it.
To get his hundred ounces
and put a hit on Chris McCully,
Nome's top boss is rolling up his sleeves and digging in deep.
We're on this sand and cobble and lye.
But we're getting late in the season and we're heading further out.
Doing deeper dives, less time on the bottom but, hell...
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Last time out, we got on a sweet pay streak.
But the problem is this trail's leading out to deeper water.
It's, like, 40 feet.
That's pretty much our limit.
Anything beyond that is too dangerous.
Even at 40 feet, we can only stay down two hours
before we get into trouble.
People can die from pressure issues at 40 feet.
It's no joke.
You gotta know what you're doing.
Everything's about ready to go here, huh?
I'll hop down and just mop her up.
Two hours ain't a whole lot of time to clean this hole out.
But need to take big risks for big rewards.
I heard Chris McCully is killing it.
And I'm willing to play with fire to stay one step ahead.
He's gonna get some gold.
Yes, sir.
Hey, Luke, are you out of comm yet?
- Good comm, Tim. - It's loud and clear.
Oh, yeah.
Oh.
Yeah, you can really tunnel back in there a little ways.
Oh, almost on the bottom.
On the bottom.
I'll go find the flannel hose here.
All right.
All right, I'm on the nozzle.
Pump her up.
All righty.
Give her the goose, Bruce.
Now we're following it deeper, deeper.
Watching the umbilical disappear into the abyss.
Must be way up in that hole.
Not seeing a whole lot of color just yet.
Where is it at?
Show me the pretty little things. Oh.
Nothing, uh, too impressive yet.
Just gonna take another bite here.
And it's on the pick-up, I'm gonna move.
Oh, yeah, there you go. Just some big rocks.
Oh, here it's picking up.
Back in business.
A piece there, a piece there, a piece there.
There's some nice coarse gold in this area, though.
Now that's the gravel to the sand,
it's easy to hit that sand
and gold starts pouring up the hose.
Couple of hundred pieces in this little area.
Man, sounds wonderful.
Get this gold out of this hole, move onto the next.
Looking pretty damn good.
Gold is pouring up the hose like a fine wine.
As Nome's kingpin takes a shot a deep ground...
...three miles east...
Yeah, we're on Wall Street today, baby.
It's gonna be good.
...a young gangster's pulling the trigger
on a plan to grow his golden portfolio.
We're gonna change our operation name to Gold Man Stacks Corporation.
Hundred ounce gold, closer and closer.
I'm gonna get suited up.
So we basically hit a virgin channel
and it's loaded with gold.
All right, I'm gonna fire this up.
We nicknamed this spot "Wall Street"
because it's a cobbled wall
and a channel right in between where the hot gold is.
I'm about to make a big withdrawal.
Call me the "Wolf of Wall Street."
It's gonna be a good day today.
If Wall Street is as hot as I think,
I'm gonna send another diver after me.
I don't know what Shawn's numbers are,
but if we keep doing this the way we're doing it now,
I think Shawn don't stand a chance on us.
You wanna throw away any shake when you see it down there.
But if it ain't looking like Wall Street,
you're in the wrong spot.
Heck yeah, have fun.
Go ahead and hike her up, bro.
Sounds good.
And? Did you find Wall Street?
Oh, yeah.
It's coming in, bud.
Everybody tried to get four hours working on the nozzle.
Wilson could be out here to relieve him.
Looks like we're gonna end... End this season strong.
With the end of winter closing in,
every miner must earn their seat at the table.
And on the frozen battleground...
All right. Here we are yet once again.
See these guys are falling out the box over there.
Getting all the equipment running, time is of the essence.
...Nome's Salty Don looks to get his operation back on track
by any means necessary.
Not good enough flow.
Just give me a little bit of flow through here.
This season's been rough, not gonna lie.
We went up for 200 ounces,
we'll be lucky if we get 20 at this rate.
So I'm unleashing a three-prong planter to ramp up production.
We got this, uh, triple sluice set up.
It's designed for fine gold recovery, refining out.
We're blowing past all that microscopic stuff.
The very fine gold, the flour gold, we call it.
She's ripped and ready to go.
First we're breaking out Larry's triple sluice spots.
We can't lose even a flake of gold at this point.
Hopefully, this triple sluice will mean nothing escapes.
Yeah, right there, that's good like that.
That would actually be about the flow
that I would think would be optimal for catching fine gold.
Next up, we have a plan to save time moving forward.
We're gonna get this set up now.
Brand new piece of 60 foot hose.
This is gonna be exactly what we need.
Every time we move the operation, it's a time killer.
So Larry and Scott are working on an extension that'll make the hose almost 60 feet.
That way we can keep following the pay streak further without moving.
Got a 40 now, we can go 20-foot further.
This will be almost plug and play.
And finally, while those two are at it,
I'm bringing in another diver to expand the tape.
I guess, uh, you know, it's your turn.
This new guy, Leonard,
he could be a real heavyweight.
Leonard is a red suit diver by trade,
he's built like a Mack truck.
He could be an alligator wrestler.
I'm gonna go under, I'm excited.
Never been, uh, diving under the ice.
I've done a little bit of cold weather environment
but, uh, nothing with five feet ice.
But being the strongest guy I know won't necessarily help under the ice.
Gotta be ready for anything.
You can get in real trouble in the blink of an eye.
But let me know when you get your bearing,
and we'll give you a full RPM on the pump.
Are you seeing anything?
Okay, we're gonna rev it up.
All right, you know what to do with the valve and...
Okay, now you have full rev.
Yeah, let's move a lot of material.
He's not shy about it.
He's breathing.
In a controlled fashion, he's not panic breathing.
He's doing a hell of a job.
All right, all right.
Good job, good job.
That's what it's all about, plug it up.
He's putting it through the box.
We're making gold,
which is better than that paper stuff.
Someone hit me.
As the Don muscles his way back into the game...
...across the ice...
I love problems in the morning.
There's something definitely going wrong.
With no gold this season,
Kris Kelly may soon be sleeping with the fishes.
