What we captured

was absolutely incredible.

What I saw in the mirror scared the out of me.

Naturally, you're just trying to find

an explanation for this

because it is so absolutely shocking.

And I literally had an internal panic attack.

But what is this? What the... What is this?

We have seen things that defy explanation,

experiencing the best...

God, that was awesome, dude.

That was so gnarly, man.

...and worst...

These dolls are gonna take our souls.

...of the places between worlds.

I want the portals of this forest wide open.

Now it's time to look back.

One of my scariest nightmares that we are about to relive.

For the first time ever,

I'm inviting you, the audience,

into my inner sanctum.

Together, we will pull back the curtain on the biggest,

scariest and funniest

moments from our investigations.

Well, I was gonna try to quiz you guys

but I'm just gonna tell everybody that

I wish it was. - Ugh, that would be great.

All right, "Curse of Catalina Island."

Let's go.

We're heading to Santa Catalina,

one of the mountainous volcanic channel islands

of the coast of Long Beach, California.

When we, we were going over,

but I'm just thinking to myself,

like, okay, it's gonna capsize,

uh, there's gonna be a tsunami, like, why am I,

why am I having all these fears?

You're afraid of a lot of stuff.

You see what demon hunting does, ladies and gentlemen? - Yeah.

Aaron, what was I afraid of the most

on the ferry boat over?

Uh, you were afraid of seasickness.

I was so worried about getting seasick.

I bought those wrist bands... - I remember you had the bracelets.

Wrist bands, and the Dramamine. - Oh, yeah.

Right. - I took a nap.

Catalina was home

to the Indigenous Tongva people

for thousands of years.

Not only were the Tongva ripped from their homes,

their remains were desecrated by a predatory grave robber.

And the repercussions are still being felt.

Catalina, it's close,

I mean, it's right off the coast of LA,

and I never even knew

this curse existed.

I never knew about this.

Me neither. - Yeah.

And once we started diving into the research of it, I was, like,

"Oh, my God, we have to go there."

All right, I just got to Catalina.

Aaron, Billy, and also Jay,

they got here before me.

Hang on, right, right behind me over there,

they had these chocolate bananas that were just amazing.

I was addicted.

It was every moments, it's like,

"What do you guys wanna do? Chocolate banana?"

I... I went there every two hours. - Yeah.

What the ?

There, he's right there.

Hey. - Hey, bubba.

What are you guys doing?

You didn't bring the wine? - We're on an island.

Go ahead, Jay, give us a tune,

...you're the musician, let's hear it. - Any requests?

Hurry up, you got 10 seconds.

Hey, can you come over everyday

and change us like that?

Yeah, right? -

That's nice.

Pick an outfit, boom, boom.

All right, that's enough.

Very nice, Jay. - Album comes out next fall.

Ladies and gentlemen,

we have been given

unprecedented access

to the very historic,

the very iconic,

and the very haunted

Catalina Casino.

This is not a casino where you go gamble. - No.

It was like the Shining,

it was the Overlook Hotel. - Yeah.

Yeah. - That's the vibe it had.

This whole island is steeped

in super natural phenomena,

so much mystery,

and also a said curse.

A man named Ralph Glidden

tore through the Channel Islands in the early 1900s

unearthing countless Native American remains.

This is not what you do

on sacred Native American grounds.

This guy completely desecrated their burial.

Straight up... - Yeah, and then profited off of it, too.

I mean... - He's a grave robber,

I mean, just dug up people's bones to sell 'em,

that's insane.

Yeah, he opened Pandora's box on this island, man. -

At one point,

Glidden's sacrilegious collection

was housed inside the casino.

Yes, the remains of the Tongva people,

their bones have seen

the inside of this building.

Does that have something to do

with what people are seeing, what they're feeling,

what they're hearing?

I think so.

And we're on an island, ladies and gentlemen,

and as that saying goes that I'm a firm believer in,

spirits cannot cross flowing water.

If that is true,

and thousands of bodies were exhumed right over here,

then we're gonna deal with thousands of spirits.

We meet first with Eryn Cassidy, a Catalina native

who has spent many hours in the building.

So we can start in the bathroom.

Which is... - Okay.

...my personal scariest place, I don't like going in there.

Now typically we interview somebody

and they're like, "Oh, you know, we heard a voice,"

you don't think a whole lot about it

because you don't know these people,

you don't know if they maybe heard something

that sounded like a voice or something like that,

but what she says here

about this female voice

really kinda set the stage

for what type phenomena

is going to affect our investigation the most.

This is kinda the bathroom that

if you asked any islander,

any woman, they'll tell you that it, it just feels wrong in there.

Feels like... - What, what do you feel?

I just feel like there's someone in there or something, I don't know.

It's just the one time I went in here,

uh, it was at the end of a play rehearsal,

I went in, and I was probably about right there at the doorway

and I heard a voice,

a woman's voice. - What kinda voice?

We've heard woman's voice multiple times down here.

I immediately turned around, and I left,

and I said, "Nope, someone else can do it, I'm not,

I'm not going in there."

It was interesting because when we started

securing interviews for this location

so many of 'em started dropping out last minute. - That's right.

Yeah. - And we started thinking, like,

maybe are they afraid of the curse?

Are they afraid to discuss this? - Mmm-hmm.

Eryn takes us inside the theatre.

I had a lot of experiences down here,

especially one, like, with that piece.

So I was probably seven or eight,

and I remember looking up into the gold piece right there,

like, a bright white light was coming behind it,

and I just saw a figure, like a black figure.

Next, we meet Chuck Liddell,

a tour guide who was born and raised on Catalina.

So this guy was great.

I mean, this guy... - He knew his history.

...knew the island better than anybody on the island

'cause he was born and raised there.

He seemed very connected to the island itself.

Oh, he was such a conduit.

Spiritually also, you know.

Is it true that

when you used to give tours of the island that

you were told

not to ever mention ghosts.

They made it clear to me,

"Do not mention ghosts on your tour."

But I kind of chuckled to myself,

I said, "I don't have to say anything,

they're gonna see it."

And so I had people on my tour see the apparitions.

I asked Chuck about Ralph Glidden's claims that

he found the bones of giants on Catalina.

This is where all of the chiefs,

and all of the important religious leaders

of all the Channel Islands would come here to Catalina.
