Die ersten 200 Zeilen.
Bear, captain log. Stardate, whatever.
I try not to look too far in the future,
But I've got quite a bit weighing on my mind, actually.
ah, yeah!
So, you know, things didn't exactly turn out 100 percent
How I'd have wanted them to, but, you know,
Beggars and choosers, winners and losers, right?
That's a small price to pay to be extreme.
Right now I'm channeling my inner snowball.
Keep on living the bush life.
It's time to stay occupied,
Go where I'm needed and wander when I'm not.
On this season of "alaskan bush people"...
When the water is clear, I'm clean, and so are the cups.
The dream is alive.
Want to fight?
Do you want to see what I've been working on?
Oh, my foot is in a rat!
It actually is a little crazy
To think just how fast the wolf pack's been going.
Dad, dad, and daddy.
It's a very monumental moment.
It's the biggest responsibility in the world.
Whoa!
But when winter bares down...
Feel that? Temperature's dropping.
Oh, no, those are coyote prints.
Stay close, stay calm, says the good lord.
-It's gunfire. -Definitely a gunshot.
...And the outside world pushes in.
Hold on, everyone!
Do you think you'll be alright?
Sliding off. Hold on, guys!
-Hey! Back off! -Ah, ah!
What do I do with him?
The wolf pack must heed the call
To achieve the impossible.
That's working really well.
We've gone to great extremes
To be able to do things the way we want to do it.
We do this as a team. We're the browns.
Everybody has to bust it more than I guess we ever had.
Let's go!
We'll have this thing cleared in no time.
Oh!
Let's do this before we get buried.
-Ooh, it's pretty close. -Really close.
It's starting to look like a house now, guys!
We're just going to go on with what we do.
Nothing's going to stop the browns.

Okay, here are the rules.
There's no throwing, there's no tossing,
There's no projectiling it at any kind.
-Oh, no projectiling at all. -This isn't bowling,
This is rock racing.
The starting line will be up here.
That's the finish line. I like it.
You have so many rocks, but not any good rollers.
That one's bigger than mine.
Now, no throwing it.
I know. I'll let it go.
Okay, and, ready, set, go!
-Ah! -yes!
Aha!
Stupid rock! Let's do it one more time.
Yours knocked mine out of the way.
Double or nothing? Roll.
go, go, go, go!
No!
Ready? One, two, three, go.
yes! Aha!
Yes, we did it, yes, yes, yes, yes!
Yours is basically round. That's unfair.
It's late fall on north star ranch,
The brown family's homestead,
Just south of the canadian border.
That's okay. Got it!
1,500 miles from their native alaska,
The browns are on the verge of achieving their vision of a life
Cut-off from modern society.
Faster than a speeding bullet!
In just one short year, the wolf pack's
430 acre property atop a 4,000 foot mountain has flourished.
Holy dog mess!
We've gone to great extremes to be able to do things
The way we want to do it.
Alright, everybody! Let's go on a road trip!
We never do anything the conventional way.
We never do anything the easy way.
There we go! Watch it go!
It's the freedom, it's the fresh air.
It's our way of life.
But as father billy's health worsened,
The need for a safe and permanent home
Became a necessity.
Anything can happen tomorrow.
You have to live in the moment. We need to build you a house.
There's medicines that doctors prescribe,
And they have, and then there's bush medicine.
Fresh air, you know, mountain living,
That is medicine to dad.
You glad to be back?
You're darn right I'm glad to be back.
I've always said I have half tree sap
And half saltwater in my blood.
The bush is more than medicine to us, it's our home,
And it's the place that we feel closest to god and ourselves.
The ambitious goal, a two-story cabin
At the heart of the mountain,
That billy and ami will share with sons, gabe and noah.
The communal family house is definitely a win-win.
It allows mom and dad to be close to the grandkids
And noah and I can help out
With anything that they might need.
I feel like it works out for everyone.
Give him some room. Let him work!
I am!
-Let's keep doing the bushes! -Alright. Let's keep rocking it.
And the man is a wizard with a piece of machine like that!
The very first step of any construction job
Is the foundation.
It's what the rest of the house
Is going to lay on and it's the most important.
Alright! Bring us into park and stop us down here.
Okay!
We're laying right on the ground with concrete forms,
So it has to be so level.
Now, how big exactly are we trying to get it?
We're looking at a pretty exact 50x100.
I'd like just about as low as we can get it.
Okay.
You know, the house, I guess, in most people's standards,
It's not going to be that big. To us, it's a mansion.
We just about doubled the browntown.
The house is 20x40, two-story, 2,500 square feet.
I mean, all that with this one,
It has a bathroom upstairs and downstairs,
Which is something we've never had before.
It's just awesome that we're actually going to be able
To do a childhood dream.
Yeah.
We had a childhood dream.
It was to have a large piece of property, one central house,
And then hallways leading off to other houses,
Making our own basic town.
The family's always just been really close growing up.
We all lived in small houses and we're really tight.
It's molded us into who we are, you know?
That's why we still stick together.
Definitely a defining characteristic of our life
That we are the wolf pack.
That's not just something that we say,
That really is a mentality. It's a way of life.
Winter is approaching
And we have to make sure that we're to a point
That we can keep working through the winter.
To do that, we have to make sure the foundation
Is completely down and poured,
So we can keep building on top of it.
Yeah, that just a little.
Oh, he'll have this thing laid in no time.
We have a concrete truck coming in a couple of weeks.
We can't push it out, we can't wait,
Because this cement doesn't set up in the snow.
If we're going to have the house built this year,
We need this foundation done and we need it done now.
Definitely got some cleaning to do.
You just point and I'll clean. We'll call it good.
While his family kick starts
The build of their main house, brother, bear,
Prepares to add a new member into the wolf pack.
Show me what you're envisioning?
What do we do to deck this thing out?
I know a lot of the decorating is going to be with rain's help,
But, okay.
Months earlier, bear proposed to new girlfriend, raiven.
Will you marry me?
Yes, I will.
A surprising development for the brown family.
This last month and a half has been
A total whirlwind of romance.
When she came up here,
We started talking about jalapeños,
And how much we both love jalapeños.
We fell in love.
So, I'm thinking we'll definitely walk
Nightmare somewhere, and make that the dancing area.
Ah, dancing, right?
Today, raiven and I are just scouting out
A nice spot to have our wedding.
She seemed to really like the idea of using the barn.
We're just talking about what we can do to deck it out
And make it look as fairytale as possible.
Do we want to get anything like the rug in my connex?
Nothing like the run in your connex in size.
-No? -Maybe the size.
Maybe like a red one of them? Like, a big red one?
We're not doing red, we're doing burgundy.
Oh, burgundy, of course. Same thing, right?
