In its final war humanity has resorted to supermagnetic weapons.

It caused great tectonic upheavals which lead all five continents to submerge.

And so after 20 years, even though the ocean has covered almost all the surface of the Earth,

there still remained quite a few people, who continued to live on.

One of them was a boy named Conan, who lived on a remote green island.

One day a girl called Lana was washed ashore on the island where Conan lived.

Lana was Dr. Lao's granddaughter – the world's last and foremost authority on solar energy,

who was kidnapped by order of Lepka, who wanted to use this energy.

Deep underneath Lepka's evil stronghold of Industria, where Conan and his friends had sneaked in,

they discovered an enormous war plane Gigant, which was almost ready to take off.
