نخستین 190 خط.
I'm done.
It's my fault for being so weak anyway.
Why was I born in the first place?
I mean, was there even any point in me being alive?
Man, now that I'm staring death in the face,
what did I accomplish?
Nothing.
At least it's over.
My life really was the worst, wasn't it?
I was always treated like garbage,
so I might as well throw myself away--
and die.
All right, you disgusting rodent!
Eat that!
Conjure forth the divine flame
in order to smite my enemies.
Aah!
Cleaving Slash!
Conjure forth the--
Jolene, hurry up!
Almost done.
Conjure the divine flame in order to smite my enemies.
Cast Fireball!
And it's finished.
Well, thanks to my skills.
I think you meant it's thanks to my magic.
Fine, let's just say
we both took it down.
Mm-hmm, I guess.
Hey, you're up.
Get over here already, trash picker.
Once again, I said my name's Ein, not trash picker.
So? I don't care what your name is.
Just get over here.
Come on, Zoid, go easy on him, OK?
Little Ein here isn't a high common class like me or you.
He's just a meager low common.
Sorry about that.
This pack is really heavy.
Can you just appraise the thing
so we can get out of here?
Sure.
Here I am, doing my job
as a low common appraiser.
The moment you're born into this world,
you're given a job by the goddess of light
and skills by the goddess of darkness.
By training your skills,
you can hone a plethora of abilities.
But jobs are passed down through generations
and can never be changed.
Jobs are divided amongst three different classes.
The first is the rare class.
This includes important people like wealthy merchants
and military strategists.
Second's the high common class,
which includes people like Zoid and Jolene.
They're swordsmen, mages, and others who are good in combat.
And lastly, we have the low common.
That's where you'll find those unfit for battle--
peasants and appraisers like me.
Since jobs are inherited,
children are usually forced
to carry on their parents' trade.
Sadly, I lost my parents when I was still pretty young,
and I couldn't keep up the family business.
And so I took the other path open to the low class.
I became an adventurer,
hoping I could strike it rich.
But as you can see--
Appraise.
GIANT RAT CORPSE (F)
Got a rarity rating of F, so it's worthless.
GIANT RAT TEETH (D) CAN BE USED FOR TOOLS OR FARM EQUIPMEN
But its incisors are D rank.
Crap, they won't even budge.
Hey, what's the hold up, huh?
Uh, rigor mortis has begun to set in.
So, uh, if you could open its mouth for me,
I would appreciate it. -Excuse me?
I've done my part and killed the filthy thing,
so why would I have to help you pack it up?
Ein, we brought you along to do your job,
and your job is handling trash.
Isn't that right?
Idiot. Damn trash picker!
What's this?
Are you glaring at me?
Really, Ein?
We risk our lives to keep you safe
while you just sit there daydreaming.
All that you have to do is tag along and act when you're told.
I mean, you got it easy, and this is the way you repay us?
I'm--
so sorry.
You're right.
I learned the world isn't fair.
Yeah, there you go, Ein.
He's so good at this, right, Zoid?
The best trash picker ever.
Almost there. Great job.
Ew, that's disgusting!
I can't believe you stick your hand
in that nasty thing's mouth.
It's so repulsive!
What's the point in having an appraiser, anyway?
I mean, just about anyone could take that rat corpse
back to the guild and have it appraised with magic tools.
Those jerks are right.
What else am I good for besides finding
and harvesting materials from monsters?
I'm nothing but a trash picker.
There's only one reason I let you into our party.
I don't wanna go around
carrying all those disgusting corpses in my magic bag.
The faster you get that through your skull,
the better off you'll be.
But honestly, we're so grateful for everything you do,
trash picker.
Come on, finish up and let's go.
Yes, sir. Right.
I don't really have a choice here.
I have to take everything that comes with this.
It's the only way I'll survive in this world.
I can't change things.
This is my job.
Whoa, check it out, a hell hound corpse.
It's our lucky day, huh?
Why are you just standing there?
Go collect it, trash picker.
Huh? Yeah, sure.
But isn't it strange to you?
According to the guild, this type of monster
shouldn't be found in this dungeon.
Just shut up and go!
You've got all this time to talk back,
but not to do your job?
Right.
We're really lucky, huh?
The materials from a hell hound fetch good coin, don't they?
Yeah, that's what I heard.
This calls for a drink once we get back.
Then you and I can hit the inn, and, you know--
Stop it, Zoid! You're so nasty!
Appraise.
Its rarity, B rank.
Look, there's one over there, too!
You're right!
When you're done, get that one, too.
No way, we've got to go.
Huh?
According to the guild's map,
there's just a single corridor.
OK, the map is wrong then.
So stop whining and go grab the hounds.
We'll be fine.
But something's not right!
We really need to get out of here!
I'm serious!
Fine, then go.
But you'll be leaving that pack here with us.
What are you waiting for?
Drop it and get going.
But I should mention--
disobey an order from the leader, and you'll be fired.
Don't expect your money either.
That's not fair!
Life's not fair. Well, then?
-Mm. - You coming?
Not many parties will take on someone
with a worthless job like mine.
I finally found a way to make ends meet.
So if Zoid kicks me out, then I'm--
GREMLIN'S MOVE (S)FLYING AT HIGH SPEED TO USE ITS SCYTHETO CUT OFF YOUR RIGHT EAR I suppose you're right.
I'll come, too.
Please let me stay.
Mhm.
Oh, you're so adorable when you're begging, Ein.
It's so unfair.
I hate this!
This can't be real!
Looks like we hit the jackpot.
Talk about a mountain of treasure.
We're rich!
I have a bad feeling about this.
Don't you?
There are a lot of dead hell hounds here.
Who could have defeated so many of them?
What?
I mean, if they were adventurers just like us,
No comments yet. Be the first to leave one.
