نخستین 200 خط.
Previously on The Amazing Race
12 teams continued racing through Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
I can't believe we're still racing.
Kishori and Karishma
and Michelle and Sean made a huge mistake.
I think we got to go.
- This is wrong. - This one hurts my head.
Twins Anthony and Bailey got stumped
at the Detour.
We're actually gonna switch to Balloon Collection.
The heat took its toll on the teams.
God, it's hot today.
Mom is a little dizzy.
Ricky and Cesar and Rod and Leticia continued
their battle for the lead...
They've been neck to neck with us this entire time.
Ending in victory for the married couple.
Rod and Leticia, you are team number one.
Boy, that's what I'm talking about. Good job.
Meanwhile, father and daughter
Chris and Mary's dream came to an end.
Sorry to tell you that you have been
- eliminated from the race. - Yeah.
Proud of this girl. She's my rock. She is my life.
The remaining 11 teams are headed to Colombia,
where they will depart in three groups
leaving every 15 minutes.
This is the first time
that The Amazing Racehas visited Guatapé, Colombia,
a place that's been called the most colorful town in the world.
And you can see why.
Throughout the race, teams will win Expedia OneKeyCash
that they can use toward unique, expert-designed adventures.
Today, teams will go on an Expedia-designed adventure
here in Guatapé, Colombia,
visiting some of this country's most amazing destinations
and taking part in local and authentic experiences,
all featured on the Expedia app.
Go. Yeah, baby. What are we doing? Let's get it.
Route Info.
- "Welcome to Colombia." - "Welcome to Colombia."
"Climb the stairs to the top
of El Peñón de Guatapé to find your clue."
El Peñón, commonly known as the Rock
it sticks 650 feet above the ground
which offers spectacular
360-degree views,
something teams will experience
when they climb all the way up here
more than 60 stories... to get a clue.
- Go, go, go. - This is crazy.
Let's go.
Climb to the top, right?
Is there a elevator up here?
- We here, baby. - We climbing the mountain.
These are so steep.
- So steep. - Cesar?
- Yes. - Slow down.
- How you doing, Ricky? - I might need a sec.
We're climbing, baby. Let's go.
Just what I like. I live for this.
- Hey. - Breathe.
My age is kicking in.
I hope they show all these stairs on TV.
That's a lot of damn stairs.
Trying to keep a nice pace,
keep the breathing under control,
counting my steps.
This morning, we're in group one.
Having 15 minutes ahead of the majority of the teams
if we can keep this 15 minutes
through the day, we can get first.
Keep going, keep going now.
We've been communicating a lot
about what we've done in the previous legs,
what we want to do moving forward, so...
We're really resourceful, I think wherever we are.
Yeah, we can kind of take any situation
and just run with it.
We share different skill sets, Yeah.
That it just makes a great team.
- Ricky, how are you doing? - I'm okay.
Baby.
We just got one straight ahead,
and we're at the top.
You made it like Rocky Balboa.
Coming in first the first two legs has set the bar high.
But one thing about it... it's a marathon, not a sprint.
What was that? That, rabbit and the turtle?
- Yes. - That storybook.
But we're not gonna be the turtle, okay?
But the turtle end up winning.
He did, but I don't want to be that slow.
To the top, baby. Come on, girl.
- Let's go. - Almost there. Look.
- Almost there. Come on. - Yeah.
Is it there?
- Do you see it? - It's here, baby.
Detour.
One of the best things about traveling around the world
is experiencing culinary delights like this...
Colombia's festival of meats... bandeja paisa.
Packed with rice, beans, chicharron, eggs,
carne a sad a, plantains, arepas, chorizo and avocado.
This Detour requires teams to cook this savory dish.
They'll be judged on the authentic presentation
by a trio of localabuelas
grandmothers who've made this dish hundreds of times.
The original Willys Jeep was designed
and made in just 75 days
a bare-bones vehicle with no extras.
They're known here as mechanical mules
because of how vital they are for local farmers.
They're so revered that owners pack them to the brim
and show them off in an annual Yipao parade.
This Detour requires teams to load one.
When the proud owner feels they've been properly packed,
they'll hand over a clue.
Teams will get to either side of the Detour
in one of these high-speed water taxis.
- We're doing Bandeja Paisa. - Yes.
- We're gonna cook. - We're gonna cook.
We out of here, baby. Cook time.
It was so challenging physically up top that we didn't want
to come down and still do another physical challenge.
We'd rather just go do a little cooking.
"Climb the stairs to the top of El Peñón de Guatapé
- "to find your clue." - Let's go.
- Let's do it. - Let's go that way.
Switch it up. Use those quads.
Use the railing, please.
You know you're working out good when you taste blood.
- Temporary pain, baby. - Yup.
Push it, Yvo. Push it.
- Come on, Yvo. - She's a beast.
We're just gonna take it at Mom's pace.
- That was just... - And so, when we get to the top,
- we feel... good to go. - Taking a minute.
We're trying to be mindful
of how do we pace ourselves.
25 and then break. You got it.
We just have to recognize
that the physical challenges are gonna be
where I fall behind.
Doing so good.
It's not just about the physical challenges
on this race. There's gonna be opportunities for us
to make up time.
300 to go. She's doing amazing.
- Almost there, Juan. - I can see it.
- Is that true? - Yeah.
Let's go, baby.
That's the top right there, Juan.
Easy work.
- Ready? - Okay.
- Let's make some food. - Okay.
Dude, this is your food, man. You know how to cook it.
- All right, let's do it. - What do you think?
Yeah, we're gonna do Bandeja Paisa.
- I think we'll cook. - Okay.
Right here. Let's go.
- I'm so proud of you. - Okay.
We're gonna do some Mama cooking.
Bandeja Paisa, because, some physical after physical
not the best combination.
Yeah, not today, so...
He's right here, Ricky.
Come on. Come on. We're in the lead.
"Choose a water taxi driver who will lead you to a boat.
Once choosing, you may not switch."
Come on, Ricky. Okay.
- Come on, ChiChi! Right behind you. - Whoa, whoa, whoa,
- Whoa. Watch that step right there, babe. - Whoa, whoa!
- Go, go, go! - Ask.
- Let's go. Let's go! - Let's go on this thing.
- We're coming right now. - Come on.
We're on the boat.
We're doing great. Take a minute.
- This is so pretty. - Right here.
- You can cook. We're gonna be all right. - Okay.
Beat them. Beat 'em.
Let's get it, baby!
- "Welcome to Colombia." - "Climb the stairs to the top
of El Peñón de Guatapé to find your clue."
- Okay. - All right. Put this in the bag.
Let's go!
The third group feels horrible,
but we're gonna make up time here.
Pace ourselves. Pace yourself.
Slow and steady today.
- Are you counting? - Nope.
I got a emergency call
that my grandma wasn't doing so good, and
my grandma passed away last night, I found out.
My grandma raised me,
and she helped me become the person that I am.
So, thinking, like, what would she want me to do?
I got her to go out and do a lot of adventures with me.
And so, we're here anyways. Let's just do this day.
This leg's for Grandma.
