Kay, wake up!
Come on, Kay. You're going to be late.
It's going to take at least a half hour to get to your brother's place.
I was having that... I was having that nightmare again.
Something was after me.
Seth called last night, after you went to sleep.
He was worried you wouldn't be back in time for the opening of his show.
Of course I assured him we would be.
He said to make sure you enjoyed yourself,
and you shouldn't worry about nothing.
- David! - What?
Maybe it's the wrong time to go away. Maybe we should wait.
Don't be silly. This is a perfect time.
Besides, a vacation is exactly what you need right now.
I just don't feel right about leaving.
You know what your problem is?
You're a workaholic.
I'm worried about the show.
I know.
That's the reason you're having those nightmares again.
You know, Eric has gone to a lot of trouble to get hold of this place.
And from the way he makes it sound, it's the next best thing to paradise.
Besides, it's just what your doctor ordered.
One week away from the rat race.
And I guarantee, you won't need these anymore.
Now, come on. Get a move on. We'll be late!
That was Norman on the phone. He's on his way to pick us up.
Why this mad rush to go on vacation?
This happens to be the only time that McNally can give us the house.
It's also the only time that David can drag my sister away from work.
Eric, I'm as concerned about your sister as you are.
But a whole week with Kay is not my idea of a vacation.
Why can't we ever get away alone, just the two of us?
What about the Florida trip last year?
A fishing camp in the Everglades is not a romantic getaway.
Just once I'd like to go somewhere where they actually have a hotel.
It was a hotel in Mexico City and we were alone then.
That was four years ago and it doesn't count because it was our honeymoon.
Well, I promise you this will be one vacation you'll never forget.
I've never forgotten any of them, believe me.
- Are you taking your fishing gear? - You bet.
An island in the middle of nowhere has got to be a fisherman's dream.
That's what I was afraid of.
Uh, damn it!
Come on, Kay! The car's loaded. We're ready to go.
- Sure you can handle everything? - Everything's under control.
Make sure that Cheryl gets those locations before Thursday.
- Relax, I'll handle it. - I'll call you on Wednesday.
I told you a million times. There's no phone service on the island.
I just thought of something.
I forgot to ask McNally how to get to the house.
This came from McNally last night.
He's taken care of all the supplies you'll need.
There's directions to the house.
Have a good vacation and don't worry about anything.
- I'll bring back some of the fish I catch. - Don't bother. I hate fish!
Well, there's no turning back now.
You're on vacation, whether you like it or not.
What's wrong?
You know me and flying.
- You fly all the time. - Yeah, but not in planes like this one.
There it is.
- It's surrounded by water. - Most islands are.
I thought it was supposed to be sunny and warm.
Eric probably thinks this is sunny and warm.
Look at this. It's beautiful!
Eric, if this is a joke, it's not funny.
What are you talking about? This is paradise.
McNally says it's got the best fishing on the whole coast.
Any truth in that, Mr Marsh?
Used to be, years ago. Not so much anymore.
Are we the only ones here?
Some tourists drift out during the season
but there ain't nobody here this time of year.
I can see why.
I feel like I've been here before.
You ain't the first I've heard say that, and you won't be the last.
This island is the kind of place folks dream about.
So Eric, where do we go from here?
Well, according to McNally's map, there's a fort up the beach.
The house is about a mile past that. He says we can't miss it.
You've got to be joking. A mile?
We have to walk a mile with all this stuff?
It's all part of the deal. No pollution, no hassles.
Just the beauty of nature and the four of us.
Isn't that right, Mr Marsh?
He's not much on long goodbyes, is he?
I got the distinct impression he's not very fond of tourists either.
This place gives me the creeps.
If walls can talk, this old fort would have quite a story to tell.
I feel like someone's watching us.
You heard old Marsh. There's no one on the island except the four of us.
Nobody living, that is.
I'll say one thing. It's the perfect place to get away from it all.
Yeah, if you happen to be a sand crab.
You've got no spirit of adventure, Brooke.
I don't need adventure. I need sidewalks.
What do you think this was?
Well, according to McNally's map, it was a theatre.
How quaint! A little touch of culture in the wilderness.
Maybe my last film played there.
It's a good possibility, considering the condition of the place.
Hey, you want me to carry you?
Come on! You can do all the sights after we get settled.
What's so interesting?
Don't you recognise that building?
No. Should I?
I painted that building. It's still in my studio.
You just painted something that looked like that.
Come on. Let's go before we get eaten alive.
I'm dying, Eric. I'm not going to make it.
Just hang on. We passed the boathouse back there
so it can't be much further.
Well, there it is.
That's the house?
McNally was right when he said you couldn't miss it.
It's sort of...
I think 'rundown' is the word you're looking for.
Wow!
- Very nice. - It's fantastic.
Ah, this is great.
Eric, I will never doubt you again.
Look at the size of this place, will you?
So this is what McNally does with all his money.
He must have a lot of it too.
The wood in here is just absolutely beautiful.
I'm going to check out downstairs.
- Anybody want to go upstairs? - I want to come!
Let's go.
My, my.
Oh, boy!
Brandy. My favourite kind. Mmm.
Caviar, ugh!
It's a little obvious, wouldn't you say?
It's definitely somebody's playroom.
You and Kay take it. It wouldn't do me any good.
Eric came to fish.
Whisky, Scotch, Cognac!
Gin.
Voilà!
That's nice.
Hm.
I came back to warn you.
Warn us about what?
The report from the coastguard says there's a storm moving up from the gulf.
They're unpredictable this time of year.
Weather looks okay to me.
Things aren't always what they appear to be.
I used to live on this island. I know what a storm can do.
It'll come at you from all sides,
make it impossible for me to land a plane.
I think we'll take our chances.
Suit yourself.
But don't say I didn't warn you.
That is one weird dude.
Come on, let's celebrate.
Now you're starting to hear sounds that don't exist, Wally.
Next thing, you'll be seeing things that ain't there.
You're spending too much time on these islands alone, old man.
What you need is a companion. That's what you need.
A woman.
Or maybe a dog.
Ah!
- Come on, you guys. - You're out of your mind.
About time you woke up.
I was just going to flip you over and bake the other side.
You want something to drink? I'm going to run up to the house.
- No. - You're sure?
How about something to eat?
- Nothing, thanks. - Okay.
...all the way out there. Four miles out...
Come on, you guys. It's not cold at all.
- Come on. - Nevermind. Nevermind.
Found a flare gun we can use in case you're... in big trouble.
What kind of big trouble?
Tropical storms. Uncontrollable, unpredictable.
You can't trust them.
That's why they used to name them after women.
Oh!
You know, this place even has an elevator.
