When fall is upon us, it's finally time to harvest potatoes!

We use an agricultural instrument called a potato harvester to dig up potatoes when we harvest.

The potatoes come down a conveyor belt and we sort them as they come!

Though it picks up a lotta other weird stuff.

First, waste — potatoes that are inedible.

Then there's non-standard, which covers potatoes that are bruised, malformed, or too small, thus defective.

Which means there's no standard price for them, but they're at least edible.

Still, half of it is unshippable? Isn't that kinda wasteful?

Think of it like rejects for manga pitches.

If manga that people pour their heart and soul into can get rejected,

why can't we reject Mother Nature's crops?!
