Set.
Elements of silver and iron. Foundation
of Stone and the Archduke of Pax.
Raise a wall for falling winds. Close the cardinal gates.
Come forth from the crown and follow
the forked road leading to the kingdom.
Now. Phil and Phil. Phil! Phil? Phil!
Repeat this five times, but when each is filled, destroy it.
Heed me. It is my will that creates
your body and your sword. My destiny.
If you heed the Grail's call and obey
my will and my reason, then answer me.
So this so-called Holy Grail war. Do you
actually think it's something we need to be concerned about?
That's not a real question, is it, Faltus?
I didn't. My apologies, Professor Langle.
I'm afraid to ask, but what is your
comprehension of the Holy Grail War?
I read all of the documents I was given in advance, but.
You know, then, if there's even a slight
possibility that the Holy Grail will manifest itself,
we can't afford to simply ignore it.
Winning the Holy Grail War is a major's
ultimate desire and a waypoint for our goals.
I get it, but will it really happen here?
I think the Einzbern, McCarty and Tosaka
families were the ones who created the Holy
Grail War system to take place in Japan, right?
It's currently nothing more than an omen.
Lord El-melloi of the clocktower sensed irregularities in the ley lines.
So we've come to this place in order to investigate it, right?
To be perfectly honest, I'm hoping that
it's nothing more than a rumor.
But doesn't that contradict what you said earlier?
You know about the ultimate desire and waypoint for mages?
I suppose it does. Mages participating in the Holy
Grail War all have the pride of their clan on the line,
and will bring forth catalysts to summon heroic spirits,
and they will vow victory to their inherited magic crests.
Then, if the heroic spirits. What if
the summoning of servants is confirmed?
Summoning servants isn't possible unless preparations for
the Holy Grail have been made first.
After all, those summoned are real life
heroes who have been engraved within human history.
I did it.
Answer me. Would you be the insolent
radiance of the king before you?
That's correct. I'm your master. Obey me.
What is this? Are you some kind of clown?
If that is the case, then amuse
me with a more entertaining scream. Where are..
You? Pardon the intrusion, but I humbly
request that I may be allowed to present
myself before such a great king.
Very well. I shall give you the great
honour of granting you an audience.
I am grateful, Your Highness. Who are you?
And how'd you get past my.
My compliments to you for not simply
slaughtering this mongrel in my presence.
But I cannot forgive the fact that the wound
he suffered has now filled the air
with the unpleasant stench of flesh.
What is your excuse for this indiscretion?
I simply thought this man was unworthy of the king's judgment.
And so I punished him for stealing the treasury. Key.
This key. Trash. I had it made.
Yes, but disposed of it because I had no need to use it.
If the King wishes no further battle,
then I ask that you leave here immediately.
Do so, and I'll agree to spare your life.
Hit them both. Belgium.
No way.
Please forgive me for such an unsightly display.
I see that you make use of the land's ley line.
So, am I correct to assume that you
and your people have ruled this land in my absence?
We don't rule it. We merely live in harmony with the land.
As you may have guessed by now,
Your Majesty, my tribe is nothing but ordinary humans.
Once we step outside of Snowfield.
Mongrels will always be mongrels. The presence
or lack of magecraft does not change that.
I will ask the question once again.
Are you the insolent mage seeking to latch
on to the radiance of the king before you?
That's why I really, really want to be a participant, professor.
I want to join the Holy Grail War starting in the US.
Bollocks. If someone asked to describe you
in a word, you'd be moron.
How could you? Couldn't you have at least
use two words, professor? Stupid moron.
Please, I'm begging you, professor Malloy. You're
the best instructor in all the clocktower.
Great big Ben London star. Just stop with that nickname already.
Not only are you a stupid moron, you're completely impudent.
How'd you learn about the Holy Grail War in the first place?
Not that it was highly classified, but it's
not something you as an apprentice should know about.
No. Forget it. Don't tell..
Me. Remember the meeting you had yesterday
with the admins in the lecture hall?
In the basement? Wonder if they've already
started their investigation, by the way.
Isn't Mr. Longo that famous puppeteer?
I said don't tell me, didn't I?
That was top secret. There were bounded fields set up.
Did you not think that maybe you shouldn't eavesdrop?
I did honestly feel bad about it,
but I couldn't stop my curiosity. No.
You truly are a pain to deal with, huh?
I'll just pretend I didn't hear any of that.
I beg you, please don't complicate my life further.
You got it, professor. Don't worry. I won't get in your way.
No. That's right. In order to summon a hero,
you need an item, don't you?
So how exactly do I obtain one then?
If I got Ahold of a portrait of Napoleon,
does that mean I'd be able to summon him?
I think if I were Napoleon, I'd
probably kill you on sight to avoid
having to make a contract with you.
Once the seven heroic spirits are summoned,
they'll materialize in the world as servants.
The mages who summon them will be their masters,
and they'll all fight to the death for the Holy Grail.
That is the Holy Grail War. The souls
of servants defeated in those death matches
will be poured into the vessel that will become the Holy Grail.
And once filled, the wish granter becomes complete. Is that right?
Yes. If we assume that Lord El-melloi
is retelling of his experience with it is true.
Worst case scenario, there's a group of mages pulling the strings,
and they have the entire city of Snowfield under their control.
Are you serious? It's merely a possibility.
I heard that the three families did
whatever they could to get their hands on the Holy Grail.
They would do anything in order to reach the route.
I assume that's because it's a mage's final objective.
In the very unlikely event that the Holy
Grail were to materialize on this land.
It would prove to be quite troublesome
for us all to think a country
with such little history would shove clocktower
aside to acquire the Grail flat.
What's your reason for pursuing the Holy Grail?
Because I find it hard to believe
you're the type of mage you actually seeks. The route of Magecraft.
It's because I want to see it.
Seriously. I mean, doesn't it just sound like the coolest thing ever?
It's the Holy grail if it really does exist.
And it's something I want to experience with my own eyes flat.
Do you have any real understanding as to what
a conflict between mages actually entails?
You may experience things much worse than death,
or you could be brutally murdered even
before you've been able to accomplish anything.
But people still seek out the Holy
Grail knowing they prepare for that, don't they?
That makes me want to see it all the more.
Since you seem so determined, do you have
what it takes to kill someone for the Holy Grail?
Surely there's got to be a way to win without killing, right?
Like playing a game of chess.
Oh, yes. Great idea. If the maid
you're facing happens to be the world champion in chess,
they might actually agree to those terms.
Guess it's sort of a tricky problem.
I really want to see all the other heroes too.
And if possible, I'd like to become friends with them.
If. If I can make all seven heroes my friends.
I think that we'd be able to conquer the world together.
Professor.
Oh, I really messed up, didn't I?
Oh, man, professor was so angry with me. Hey, flat.
What great timing. This is a package
that just came in for Professor Malloy.
Would you mind taking it to him?
Yeah, sure. Oh. This is. Wait.
Oh, professor, this package you got, is it for me?
Oh. That thing. Do you want it?
It's worthless to me. So take it.
No point in me keeping that junk around.
I appreciate it, sir. I mean it,
I really can't thank you enough.
I I'm so glad that I'm your apprentice.
He's so easily distracted. But if it causes
him to forget about the Holy Grail
War, then it's for the best.
He wants to gather other servants to help
him conquer the world, does he?
Although since this is not the intended location,
it will be interesting to see which servants will be summoned.
Yeah, that's definitely something that's hard to predict.
Assassin aside, the other five will entirely depend on whoever summons them.
Hey, there are six other servants if you don't count.
Assassin. That would make a total of seven. Stop your nonsense!
No. There are six of them in total. Mr. Langle.
What? When it was in Japan, the rules
