Les 200 premières lignes.
Located in Niagara Falls, New York,
steps from the raging rapids, sits the abandoned Niagara Club.
I have exclusive access to investigate this historic location
that has never been explored for paranormal activity.
The building was originally a Gothic rival structure
that was built some time before 1867 by a man named Dexter Jerauld.
Dexter Jerauld was one of the first pioneers of the Niagara frontier
and would live in the house until his death in 1889.
On New Year's Day in 1902, the prestigious Niagara Club
took possession of the Dexter Jerauld house
and made the 32,000 square foot building its headquarters.
Throughout the years as a men's social club,
it was home to events, dinners and meetings
that brought in some of the most prominent
and influential people in the region,
including the likes of JP Morgan and more.
The club harboured a dark side as rumours persisted
that members from the Magaddino crime family
would frequent the building in the 1940s
and conduct business in the many rooms located
in the club's basement.
After filing for bankruptcy,
the Niagara Club officially closed in 1996.
Shortly after the club's closure, a drug treatment facility
would operate on the second and third floors.
It was during this time rumours of patients dying from drug overdoses
would force the facility to close.
After sitting vacant for years,
the Patel family would purchase the building in 2009
with plans to restore it back to its original state.
While the renovations began,
construction workers informed the owner of paranormal phenomena
occurring such as the power tools going off and on,
construction equipment going missing and reappearing in random areas.
Workers also witnessed seeing a solid dark figure
moving around the building,
experiencing dramatic cold spots, lights flickering on and off,
doors slamming shut, hearing voices when no one was around
and seeing a lady walking around and disappearing.
I will investigate this historic building
and see if I can document any paranormal activity
and find out if something here is willing to reveal the secrets
of what occurred behind these walls that have long been shrouded
in mystery for so many years.
As the Niagara Club was established,
prominent members of society far and wide
were members of the Niagara Club.
From 1901 to 1996, the Niagara Club flourished.
The bar behind me is where a lot of business activity was conducted.
The key business activity that was conducted
was when the mob ran the city of Niagara Falls.
The mob ran the city of Niagara Falls for a long period of time
and no activity was conducted in the city without
the members of the Niagara Club being involved in it.
Lot of that activity happened here, behind me, at the historic bar.
I would say the basement, it gives you a different vibe,
it gives you a different feel. A lot of things went down here.
This is the area where the mob would have brought individuals down
that needed to be either taught a lesson...
..or something far worse.
In 2009, my family purchased this building.
When we purchased it, there was a certain of air of awe
and wonder to this building, but also a shade of mystery
that we couldn't just put our finger on.
There were times where power tools would spontaneously
start turning on and turning off.
We've had shadow figures around the corners.
When we turn around, there'd be nobody there.
We've heard clawing, we hear footsteps
coming from stairs where nobody would be there.
The night I decided to stay overnight,
I just was suddenly woken up but I couldn't move.
I opened my eyes and it was this silhouette of a woman,
dressed in a petticoat and a long flowing gown,
and she just stared at me, inquisitively,
and all I could see as I stared into her eyes
was just a sense of confusion.
There is somebody here, there's something here,
and it's a woman, it's a figure of a woman.
It's either, she's in the corner
or she's walking past you or she's in the window.
Still to this day, as I walk through this building,
I feel her presence.
The secrets that these walls could tell are just amazing.
Something happened here.
Something sinister, something just violent.
It's almost like there's things buried between the walls,
underneath the ground here that are begging to come back to life,
begging to fulfil what was left behind.
We have unique access, exclusively, just to us to investigate
this whole entire Niagara Club, and we were hearing these sounds
coming from down here in the basement, so we rushed down here
and all of a sudden, we're walking around,
trying to figure out where it's coming from,
and suddenly boom!
You could hear this sound right down here.
I hear that now.
Whoa! Right here.
There it was, right over here.
I heard that sound. There it is.
That was so loud, man. You heard that one, right? I did.
It's all static electricity down here.
I just walked through some, it felt like just static.
Are you here with us? Did you make that sound?
It's been quiet for a while and all of a sudden,
night came, loud sounds throughout this whole building, like,
it came alive and now we are in the heart of the basement
where a lot of mob ties have been connected to this location.
Back in the 1940s, politicians and tons of other
figures that came through this location.
We just heard a loud banging, something came down here.
Let's try to communicate with them and make contact.
Did you make that sound that we just heard?
"It was them"?
Are you back here? Making those noises?
Said, "Yes."
Said yes again.
Where are you?
He's right next to you, yeah. We're trying to communicate.
Prohibition. Did you hear that? Said prohibition right there.
We were talking about prohibition
and that era and how this had mob ties.
Who just made that sound?
There you go. It got really weird right here, like,
I just walked into something.
Looks like I just walked into, like, this weird, static charge again.
Something strange is happening.
We were walking around this place all the time
during the day and it's, like, instantly when night came,
this place just shifted in energy.
But it makes sense because of what it used to be used for,
the nightclub, the place where these figures,
these people would hang out and socialise.
There's a lot of secrets that will never be revealed down here.
Did you make that sound?
Can you do it one more time, so we can hear you
and just make sure it's not the building or something else?
If it is, you...
..can you show us that you're here?
I heard something moving.
Right there, heard something moving.
Are you back here? Are we getting closer to you?
And the secrets that you have hidden down here?
Are you still trying to keep them
from people knowing about what went down here?
Are you back there?
Were you hurt down here?
"Men" and "Yes."
Walk up here?
Where are these sounds, man? It's not the building.
It's definitely down here.
I just keep hearing this sliding sound.
Let's go.
What happened to you? Are you trying to give us a sign or a warning?
Are you buried beneath the ground?
Under the ground.
There's someone walking above us.
Someone upstairs. Come on.
I just heard someone in this area walking around.
We just heard footsteps moving from here into this room
where the old original bar is still sitting here,
part of the Niagara Club, and I don't know if it's
possibly someone that was a member here, a man that used to come here.
Who knows? There's so many secrets, so many people
that have passed through this place.
And not just that, I don't know all the mysteries here.
It's those footsteps again. Someone's walking around out here.
It's like we're chasing down somebody.
We've heard stories... of a woman
that's been seen here, named Beatrice.
Can you try to speak to us?
Or sing, party, have fun?
You were saying "prohibition" downstairs.
Are we living in that era?
Said, "Sing." A woman's voice came through.
We know that prostitution went on in here.
Are you having a party? Can you pour us a drink right here?
Yeah? We're members.
If I turn this device on.
We have a couple of new devices that we're gonna try out.
Right here, I'm gonna set this here.
All right. Here's a cocktail.
If you want this, come just,
try to pick this up.
If this gets touched like this or grabbed,
it will start blinking and lighting up, making an alarm sound.
Nirel was talking about seeing this woman
that's been seen all over this place and even when he slept here
one night, he was woken up and it's crazy because
he named her Beatrice but it's hard to find a lot of the history
in the documents which we've been going through and researching
but we have exclusive access, one of the first people to investigate
this location, so we're slowly pulling back the layers
to try to figure out who's exactly haunting this building.
We have this original mirror that's still here
that probably holds a ton of energy,
we have these chandeliers hanging right there. A lot of history.
Even the bricks of the original house that was right here
before this location was established just sits right behind this wall.
If you're at the bar, we left you a drink at the bar.
