Good evening, Mr. Rogan.
Good evening.
2C is it, sir?
That's correct, yes.
All right you are, darling.
No.
You're not frightened, are you?
Checked.
Checked.
Checked.
Landing gear.
Lever down three grades.
Lever down three grades.
Radios and radar?
Checked and set.
Checked and set.
Lat lever.
Checked the gauges.
V1.
V2.
Rotate.
What do you think?
I don't know.
One of our brakes went white.
Start dumping fuel and keep me advised as to fuel remaining.
Oh my God.
The hell was that?
Mother!
Help me!
Help me!
Mommy!
Get the bloody cameras.
Get the cameras!
And the bag?
As much film as you can find!
Susan, susan!
We definitely need more film!
Coming!
It's all in the bag.
Good, all right, come on!
Come on!
Come on!
A plane's crashed!
Jetliner just fell out of the sky!
Tearing through everything in town, narrowly missing a whole
row of houses and a suburban shopping center.
A short while ago an Atlantic jetliner literally fell out of the sky.
People near the scene of the crash
are desperately looking for what they hope to be survivors,
but there could be as many as 350 people
killed in the plane, 14 crew.
We don't yet know what caused it,
and we don't know if there's anybody... anybody come through this swamp.
Several burns and minor contusions
at the base of the skull, not bad at all.
I've been allocated this awesome task
of fitting this mess together,
the pieces, controlling.
Keller's physical condition is minor, is that it?
Yes.
His retrograde amnesia, is that permanent?
Is it likely to be?
Mr. Slater, I know the pressure you people
are going to be under, but captain Keller's recovery
is something that's going to have to take its course.
I'm sorry, but this is a busy hospital.
Forgive me, I wasn't actually concerning myself
with a public inquiry.
There will be one, of course.
I was concerned for his sake.
The man has been through quite an experience,
miraculous, worthy.
Now, quiet.
I'm saying there are no shortcuts,
but he's fit enough and he's bloody lucky
to be with us at all.
We both agree on that.
As you say, as you say...
Indelible stamp on the will to survive.
Thank you, doctor.
Nurse!
Calling Dr. Gibson, Dr. Gibson.
Please contact switchboard.
Thanks for coming, Harry.
Don't be crazy.
The company stuck me on the first available plane.
Excuse us fellas, thank you.
Let us through, please.
Would you like me to drive?
No, it's okay.
Yes, maybe you better.
They've been pumping me full of drugs and stuff.
Beth is here, obviously.
She's on her way up to the house.
I want to see the plane.
How she takin' it?
She wants to see you.
This is a restricted area.
No spectators are allowed.
Please move back!
We can lift it off.
We'll bring it over.
Over this way a bit. That's better.
Cross his feet.
This is a restricted area.
No spectators are allowed.
Please move back!
This is a restricted area.
No spectators are allowed.
Hey!
What are you doing?
Drop it!
Go on, drop it!
I want to know everything they find, every detail,
anything they come up with.
I know exactly what you'd do, nothing.
Anyway, they consider me fairly secondary
to their operation, useless even.
Like me.
You don't have to say that.
I don't, do I?
After all, I've just killed 300 people in a field
and walked away without a scratch.
That makes me pretty special, doesn't it?
You saved a hell of a lot more lives
by getting your aircraft away from the town.
Come on, Harry.
We know better than that, don't we?
Buildings are a lot harder than grass, that's all.
Bloody fire.
Female, 45D45.
I think we can start moving some of these
over to the other side now, and get ready for taking them outside, yeah.
NC4.
Male, 86.
Male, 4TG47.
G47, that's right.
Can you slip out to get uh about 35 more bags I think that'll do, don't you think?
Female.
2-5-5 male. Uh, A45.
First class sectionary.
Sorry, authorized persons only.
This is David Keller,
who's the pilot of the plane.
Okay.
I have to know why, Harry.
It'll be the usual bag of tricks, you know,
probably take weeks.
The CVR might help.
I'm gonna need a lot of help.
I know.
- Quite an event... - It's all right, it's all right.
It's fine.
- It's okay. - When I heard, I...
I thought maybe...
So did I.
I wanted to come and see you in the hospital.
I thought it best.
Quite right.
How are you feeling?
Harry and I were told about you not remembering anything.
Yes.
It's as if I wasn't there.
I remember takeoff,
and then nothing!
Quite like old times, isn't it?
Did you see him on the plane?
Yes, he came on board with us.
I told him, you know, about us.
Thought so.
David, I didn't mean it, for you.
Do you understand?
I know.
Jesus!
You little sick...
David, don't!
Get outta here.
Dammit!
Airline chairman killed in crash.
Wife's lover sole survivor.
Well, here we are,
the predators picking off the remains.
Have you got it setup?
Yes, factory down the road.
Did you get to talk to Keller?
Impenetrable Captain K?
Only generalities.
He's going to need time, more than anything.
Well, I trust he's well.
He's at home.
I thought it would be better if you went to pull him out.
Old pals and all that sort of thing.
Yes, I am a friend of his.
Well, we finally found both of 'em.
CDI gave us a bit of trouble there.
Good, we'll follow up.
I suppose we can count ourselves lucky,
he didn't take the whole town with him.
This head was stripped on on impact
because this casing all split apart here.
