his blood pressure is down,

but there was a great deal of swelling.

So, to suppress brain function,

they had to give him some barbiturates in order to finish.

And, well, because of that, he hasn't woken up yet.

And until he does and we've had a chance to talk with him

and give him a full neurological exam,

we won't know for sure if he sustained any brain damage.
