Le prime 168 righe.
My passion to understand the inexplicable
has pushed me to pursue some of the most haunted
and dangerous items on the planet.
But as I've learned the hard way,
when it comes to the paranormal,
some artifacts are in a league all their own.
According to the person I obtained
this mummified head from,
he stated it was from a Swiss man
who was executed some 300 years ago in Scotland.
His crime, practicing witchcraft.
Immediately after I brought it into my museum,
I begin to lose my balance
whenever I was in its presence.
But the real trouble began
when I dared to look at it in its eyes.
I started to suffer from the most vivid
and terrifying nightmares in my entire life.
And in these horrifying dreams,
I was constantly pursued
by a monstrous entity
whose face that I could never see,
but that clearly wanted to destroy me
and to protect myself and my guests,
I felt like I needed to put the head
in a specially designed witch's crypt,
hoping that it would contain some of its dark energy.
But it still continues to exert
a very powerful influence.
Now, many visitors have been profoundly affected by it.
And there was this one time
where one of my veteran tour guides
witnessed what I believe to be the same dark entity
from my nightmares come out of the witch's crypt room
and absolutely terrorize her
to the point of an emotional breakdown.
I saw a gray cloaked figure come around the corner
by witchcraft tube and it charged,
and then it did that.
And then I screamed and I looked back
and it was gone.
And I've often wondered what could account for this dark energy.
And if this head is home to an entity
that has some unfinished business in our world.
It was these questions that served as the inspiration
for the film you are about to watch.
Hello? - Hey.
I have something very special here
for Mr. William Lily.
Is that your father?
Thanks, Gracie. Hi.
That's... that's my father.
Just one second, okay?
Dad?
Dad? Can you go get him?
He needs to come sign for this.
William?
Your package is here.
Why?
18th century.
William?
William?
You two were up early.
Well, when inspiration strikes.
Hi, grandma.
Like my drawing?
Very creative, honey.
Have you seen your father?
No, I haven't seen him.
Hey, pancakes?
William?
William?
William?
Oh.
Oh, William?
William?
Olivia?
William?
Olivia? Bring your phone! It's your father!
William, can you hear me?
Olivia?
Before plunging into food,
what you really have to be aware
of is the gastric residual volume
also known as the GRV.
What does that mean?
It means what's in his stomach at that point in time.
If the GRV is elevated,
we don't wanna be pumping
more food on top of that, okay?
When it comes to our loved ones
who are unresponsive,
proper food is the most important
responsibility of the family
that's including the old.
Dad?
Dad?
No.
Sorry, Mommy.
Oh, my God. Okay.
Come on, Gracie.
Let's get back to bed, okay?
Why were you up?
Come on.
Let's go.
Hey.
Who's that?
Gracie, this is... this is your uncle.
It's my brother, Jacob.
You have a brother?
Adopted brother.
No, he's my brother.
Why haven't I met you before?
Come in. Come in.
I never thought she could take her own life.
Without your help it's been...
it's been really difficult, you know, taking care of dad.
I just...
I just never could have imagined,
like, lighting herself on fire?
I just...
I just worry
how this is gonna affect Grace, you know?
Because...
Are you okay, Mommy?
Oh, sweetheart.
Can you go play?
I just...
After the heart attack, the...
the doctors diagnosed him
with unresponsive wakefulness syndrome,
apparently from lack of oxygen to his brain.
How did he have a heart attack?
We don't know.
Looks like you've seen better days.
Can't blame me for this one.
Hmm.
Yummy.
Don't be mean, Jacob.
He's not my father.
Oh, great. Okay.
So I guess we should just have a lawyer
take you off the will, then.
No.
I've earned it.
What... what was it?
I saw something, and then it was grandpa,
and he was watching me.
Okay, it was just a bad dream.
It's okay.
Why don't you come sleep in my bed?
Okay?
It's all right.
It's the middle of the night. Jacob.
What are you looking for?
This.
My entire life that prick made me feel like I was insane.
Like there was something wrong with me.
I can't even tell you
how many doctors were brought here
to assess me after the accident.
I lost track.
But they all say the same thing.
Wait...
These are all different doctors?
Yeah.
And they all agree that I wasn't crazy.
I don't get it.
