Amadeus

Antonio Salieri is envious of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart for considering his music divine and miraculous, wishing he had the same musical talent to praise the Lord through composition. Initially, Salieri believed that his success as a composer was a reward from God for his piety, but upon discovering Mozart's vulgarity, he becomes an enemy of God and is willing to take revenge on both of them for their musical mediocrity.
