It wakes you up in the morning.

Rocks you to sleep at night.

It slithers and crawls into crevices unseen.

You still hunger for it...

even though it feeds you.

despite its promises to never run dry.

And then you realize you're no longer in the driver's seat.

Something else has taken control

He's the muscle.

Engineer by day, crime-breaking bastard by night.

His partner is Darius Whitehead.

aka Reach.

She has a pretty clean track record for the most part.

But evidence points to her and Sterling having past relations.

Jaire Pierce.

He served three years overseas.

He was dishonorably discharged.

And then there's Ezekiel Wright.

He was discharged as well for fraudulent activity.

Now Reach is the older brother to Stone.

The two are foster brothers.

Both grew up in the same foster home

since they were yay high.

Always been a handful of trouble.

Both went to juvie, then served five years apiece overseas.

Haven't been pinned for a single one.

What makes them so elusive is their unpredictability.

They're never in the same place at the same time.

The only time you might find them under the same roof

is when they're committing a crime

or visiting their foster mother,

Francess Pritchett down in Beaumont.

Francess is a retired nurse and caregiver.

She's the guardian angel of the neighborhood.

She takes in boys who have gotten off to a rough start

and raises them right.

Two of those boys? Whitehead and Agholor.

So at least a dozen homicides and not one's been pinned?

Whitehead came the closest to seeing time

for a bank robbery back in '09 but he beat it.

Agholor was linked to that same crime but he got off too.

Like I said, Mama Pritchett

has taken in many boys over the years.

Only one of concern is Driscoll Buress.

Goes by Driss.

He's currently serving 15 years for second-degree murder.
