In this episode of "Paranormal 911"...
If I could change one person's life,
it would make my job special.
Untie him!
What would make a kid end his life?
Come on!
The fear of death is probably the worst
feeling you'll ever have.
Freeze!
There was a doctor that had no eyes and no mouth.
The walls were doing this. It was wanting us out.
That moment there was probably the scariest moment of my life.
I thought I was a goner.
I've seen death in this room.
Oh, my God!
911 -- Please state your emergency.
I think it's a ghost!
I'm going out.
I'll be back in a while.
Every night, you leave.
You just walk out that door!
There's chores to be done, you know?
Yeah, that's it, go walk it off.
You're going to get hit by a car one of these nights
on your stroll.
Are you listening to me?
Gary?
Hello?
- Medic 62, copy? - Medic 62, go ahead.
We have an unknown emergency on County Road 5,
1/2 mile down from the highway.
Police and paramedics have been dispatched.
Proceed with caution.
Medic 62, copy that.
Veteran Fire Department Paramedic Keith Bailey
and partner respond to a cryptic 911 call.
I'd been in the job for 4 years in the fire service.
We'd run anywhere from 12 to 20 calls in a 24-hour period.
You never know what the next call brought,
but you know that if you went and you gave your best
and treated those people like you'd be treating your family,
you know, that you could make a difference.
The paramedics have been informed
that police have already arrived on-scene.
It's not pretty.
We knew in responding to a call with an unconscious person
that they're in the backyard.
Police and paramedics rush to the victim...
Untie him!
You guys, come on! Hold him up!
...and make a grim discovery.
Whoa!
No pulse!
CPR!
He looked about 20 years old,
so here's a kid who had his whole life in front of him.
No, he's gone.
Police officers examine the scene closer and discover
that there is nothing here that the victim could have stood
on that would enable him to hang himself.
It creates doubt as to whether the victim
could have done this on his own.
Foul play is suspected,
but with immediate signs of a struggle,
they stop short of declaring it a murder scene.
First responders!
With a possibility of more victims...
Hello, anyone in there? First responders!
Anyone there?
...the paramedics shift their focus
to the inside of the house.
Hello?
Police have entered through the back door
and begin to clear the premises, but Keith and his partner
must still enter the home for their sweep.
What the hell is this?
I was no more than 5 feet inside.
I'd never experienced a house like that before
ever in my life.
Oh, look at that.
What the hell is that?
I don't know.
Bailey is stunned by what he finds in the home.
He's confronted with objects and symbols
that begin to tell the story of the wickedness
that's occurred here.
Hello?
We were called to an emergency.
Despite visual warnings of evil lurking in this house,
Bailey and his partner continue their search for victims
and go further inside.
Not knowing if they know we're there,
something could turn south really quick.
Their search leads them to the bottom of a staircase.
Ah!
Hello?
They begin their ascent on the only entrance to,
or escape from, the second floor...
- It's hard to move. - It's hard.
I feel something on my legs.
...when they're suddenly overcome
by an unseen oppressive force.
The next step I took was like I'd stepped into total mud.
I was stuck, my feet was sinking,
but I look down, and I'm not,
but the feeling was like I was going to go through the floor.
I've been in mud.
I've been in places to where that makes sense.
None of this made sense.
It's like it got in your bones.
It's like it made your muscles hurt.
**** Are you seeing this?
What the hell is that?
Battling the overwhelming resistance, they're confronted
with what appears to be a sacrificial altar.
What the hell is this stuff?
You smell that?
Oh, that's bad. - It's unbearable.
From out of nowhere, the paramedics are overwhelmed
by a putrid odor.
Oh!
I've smelled all kind of dead things in my life.
This wasn't the smell of anything just dead.
This wasn't just any smell,
and I felt like that house, it was wanting us out.
Something's not right here, man.
I swear I heard something.
All of a sudden we start to hear a hum.
It's loud.
It's like the house had come alive.
I feel like I hear something, too.
You hear that?
This wasn't normal.
It was like it got in your head.
The house is coming alive around them,
repelling the paramedics with an undeniable
terrifying manifestation of evil.
Ah!
Veteran Firefighter Paramedic Keith Bailey...
Untie him!
...responds to a 911 call about a young man hanging from a tree
but is unable to save him.
While searching for more victims in the home,
he's confronted with signs of evil.
He is attacked by oppressive unseen forces...
- It's hard to move. - It's hard.
I feel something on my legs.
...incapacitated by overwhelming smells of death...
Oh, that's bad.
What is this for?
...and assaulted by deafening noises.
I swear I heard something.
All of a sudden, we start to hear a hum.
I think I hear something, too.
Did you hear that?
That humming noise was inside that house, going through me.
But nothing could prepare them for what's next.
Ah!
Ah!
The house is alive.
The walls were doing this.
It was pushing you in.
Something which might have occurred in this house
to generate these feelings and emotions
could be perhaps people engaged in a very dark ritual
or a ceremony where they're summoning something
demonic or something malevolent.
Survival instincts force the paramedics
to abandon their search for more victims
and get out of this malevolent house.
It kept getting worse.
I knew the only thing was is to make our way out.
If I don't, I'm screwed.
Yeah, we're okay.
The sights, the smells, the sounds --
this might be a form of intimidation from a spirit
to keep people out of their sacred ritualistic circle.
The results of the ensuing police investigation
reveal details of the young man's death
that haunt Keith to this day.
It went on later on to find out
that the person who took their life was a sacrifice.
The occupants of the evil house were members of a satanic cult.
The vulnerable young victim was desperate and joined them,
unaware that at his first ceremony,
he would be their next human sacrifice.
Cults have been found in the most unlikely settings,
from small towns to suburban settings,
very nice neighborhoods.
It could be the beautiful house next door
where a spirit is inhabiting someone's body,
causing them to act out violently,
perform ritual sacrifices.
That kid didn't have to die.
He was, like, 20-something years old.
It ended up, we found out later
that he had had a girlfriend that had rejected him,
and these people brought him in and said,
"Come on, we'll be your friends."
And he gets tied up with them and caught up,
