It's time to go!

Flying for almost four days,

the American spacecraft known as the Eagle is on course toward the lunar surface.

The spacecraft carrying Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin

is now now flying on its own power.

It should start its descent in approximately one hour.

This is a very exciting time.

Just one month ago, Russian cosmonaut Alexei Leonov

became the first man to step foot on the moon.
