It sounded like a kid.

A massive coliseum.

There was an orphanage here on these grounds.

I saw an apparition of a little girl.

She walked past me as close as you walk.

Cemented in tragedy.

They poured concrete.

Really.

Encasing the body.

As the team and guest investigator Steve Shippy...

...are up against a storm of activity.

Well, I heard that. - What the hell was that?

What's going on in there?

Somebody moved down here, I swear.

Ooh!

So, I'm in the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center.

This is a huge place.

It's hosted people like Elton John, Taylor Swift, Aerosmith.

I think it is our first time doing a coliseum.

It's huge.

The TAPS team is headed to the Mississippi

Coast Coliseum and Convention Center,

which was constructed in the 1970s.

Renowned for hosting events and concerts,

this structure also entertains a disconnected array

of terrifying and mysterious phenomenon.

So we're being called in to this location,

because they've seen an increase in paranormal activity,

since they've started renovating.

It seems to be keeping the staff on edge.

So, all kinds of different activity here.

Shadow and fog like figures.

Fog.

And a woman in black, they claim to see a little girl.

Oh, my God!

They're also claiming to see a Confederate soldiers.

Hmm.

We're the first paranormal team

that they've allowed to investigate here.

So, hopefully we'll be able to figure out these things.

Absolutely.

The property that's like 61 acres.

Ooh!

Luckily, Steve Shippy is able to join us

and I worked with him on a few different investigations

and he's investigated really large places before.

It'd be great to have him with us.

That's why they call it a coliseum.

Yeah. Absolutely.

Look at the size of this place.

What's some of the history here.

We opened in November 1977.

The Mississippi Coast Coliseum

and Convention Center took four years to build,

with major expansions being done over the decades.

It sits on land that is directly adjacent

to the retirement home of Jefferson Davis,

a leader in the Confederate Army.

After Davis' death in 1889,

his estate was converted into a veterans home and cemetery

for Confederate soldiers and their families.

Today, this Confederate graveyard

borders the Coliseum property.

Was this property anything else?

Um. There was an orphanage here on these grounds.

In 1895, the Waifs Industrial Home for needy

and sick children opened on this property,

although there are few records of the children who lived and died here.

All right.

So, we know that there's all different types of claims

throughout this whole property.

And why don't you fill us in on what's been going on?

Some of the claims we've had here in the arena is

apparitions of civil war soldiers.

On the south side of the stairs I saw a Confederate soldier.

So, as I walk toward him or it, he just stared me down.

And that was scary.

He didn't go away. I went away.

There's some things you just don't play with.

Apparitions of Confederate soldiers

have also been seen next door in the arena's south lobby.

And nearby, under the stands, the VIP room has become

the center of unexplained occurrences.

What kind of activity has been being seen?

Lights going off and on.

Are the lights motion sensored? - No.

No, so it's an actual switch you gotta throw.

Yes.

And the strangest activity affected Bryan, personally.

I was reviewing security camera footage and you see an orb

come from the ceiling.

And stops in front of me and goes into my body.

And then I felt dizzy.

Wow!

Similar unexplained lights have been seen

in other parts of the building.

And other anomalies have also been seen in

the convention center.

One day, working back here, I've looked over in the corner and there was like a mist

and it was like trying to form.

And then I made a noise

and it disappeared.

It left me really unnerved.

This woman that has been seen in black.

Can you tell us a little bit about her?

A lot of the night security has seen her in our kitchen hallway,

which is part of the Convention Center.

I'm walking through the kitchen hallway,

and I seen a woman in all black, black hair,

long black dress.

She was walking away from me.

There's nowhere she can go. When I get there,

she was gone.

She wasn't a real person.

We also have video of kitchen dishes being thrown across the floor.

Also in the hallways,

there are reports of shadow figures.

Nobody was back there but myself.

And I heard the door open.

I see something out of the corner of my eye, go past me.

I turned to look and there's nobody there.

And the way the walls are set up,

they couldn't get out without me seeing them.

I got a very eerie feeling.

It had to be a spirit.

Outside, anything out there?

One of the security guards had an interaction

with a little girl that came out to him then disappeared.

When I was outside doing my outside door checks,

I saw an apparition of a little girl,

maybe eight years old.

She walked past me as close as you walk.

I turned around.

She was gone.

She was just vanished. - Yes.

My goodness.

Similar accounts of seeing and hearing children

had been experienced across the entire property.

What are you hoping that we're able to accomplish here?

Some validity to the claims, especially with the increased activity.

Are there actually staff members

that are scared to be here?

Yeah. - Yes.

All right. Let's get to the bottom of this.

I think from here, we're going to go talk to the crew

and try to figure out how to cover this massive facility.

but at night the staff is afraid in there.

they are having an increase in activity.
