and it has truly become a festival for everyone in the drama business.

Jung Eun, weren't you a host for the awards in 2015?

Yes, I was. I was standing right on this spot as a host in 2015.

How does it feel to be a host again?

I'm not just saying this for the sake of the awards.

It is my opinion that every year, the awards ceremonies continue...

to show improvement and make progress.

What's more is that today,

even more actors, actresses, and crews from different countries...

compared to last year, have come all the way here for the awards.

I can see a lot of foreigners are sitting in the front row.

I know that many of you have traveled...

a long way to be here with us tonight.

I'd just like to thank each and every one of you.

I was actually quite surprised.

As soon as she mentioned more foreign actors,

as we received 266 dramas from 55 different countries.

A judging panel consisted of Korean and foreign individuals involved...

in the drama business has chosen 29 dramas to advance to...

the final round after going through an impartial judging process.

the honor of being the world's best drama and captivate the world?

This is amazing.

It's made aware that we have...

received 266 entries from 55 different countries.

Looking at the number of countries and entries,

I was informed we broke our personal record.

I'm very impressed that our awards ceremony was capable of it.

I agree. On top of this, this year, our awards ceremony is joined...

by various entries of different genres and many diverse countries.

We have contestants from Saudi Arabia, Lebanon,

and Uzbekistan for the first time this year.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing...

it was chosen as the Excellent Korean Drama last year.

I've worked on a short film,

but I haven't had the chance to star on a short drama.

I've worked on a short web drama,

but I can't find the drama. I guess it must've disappeared.

Short dramas must contain everything...

including the beginning and ending within a short amount of time.

They are bound to leave a strong impression on the viewers.

I agree.

That's why short dramas cover unique themes and have strong characters.
