We're in historic louisburg, north carolina,

to investigate our latest case.

It involves a young family

who've had some disturbing encounters.

This area is known to have hosted union soldiers

during the civil war.

Today, we're meeting with paranormal investigator,

chris balassone,

who we've worked with before.

Chris has made a startling connection

between the soldiers and this family's home.

This is the grave site of william wagner,

the only union civil war soldier that died in the town.

Wagner? Alright, and what connection

does he have with the case?

The house was owned by a doctor.

He was the only town doctor there was.

So you're thinking that he died there? Right.

He may have been treated

by the doctor that lives in this house.

so, tell us about the family.

Will and darcy -- they are a young couple.

They have three kids, and she's scared.

They're seeing a black mass come from the bathroom,

through the master bedroom, into the living room.

In the driveway, when she came home,

she saw a male there.

And as it walked behind a tree, it was gone.

It disappeared, never came back.

what kind of things did you experience over there?

We got a couple of voices. One said, "help."

one said, "dr. King."

then I had my personal experience.

It felt like a pressure relieve from me out,

almost like something walked through me.

Full body, head to toe,

an electrical to-the-bone feeling.

Really? Okay.

I've never had anything like that before.

So, I'm working on this new research.

I'd take a piece of copper, and I put the electrodes

on the heart monitor that I had last time.

the theory behind it is that electricity

will go across that copper,

the heart monitor will read it as waves.

So, if you're trying to get any kind of communication

and it touches it, there will be a wave form

that will be noticeable.

I also have a wireless eeg, or electroencephalograph.

when things start happening.

We had chris come in after you guys had contacted us

and told us about a lot of the experiences

that you'd been having.

I know chris was here investigating

and doing a preliminary check for us,

and he was able to have some experiences, as well.

that you've been experiencing.

We've been here about five years.

Everything's been great

until we started doing some renovations.

Things seemed to kind of take a dark turn.

In the beginning, I think it was more curiosity.

I didn't feel threatened at all,

but more recently, they've become more belligerent,

almost like they're trying to intimidate us.

It's a wonderful house,

very close to all schools,

right across the street from my parents --

they're able to help with our children.

And we love the town.

After we moved in to our dream house,

everything was perfect.

And then, we started doing renovations.

That's when things changed.

in our master bedroom, there's a lot of activity.

In the beginning, we would see gray figures

appearing from around the corners.

Shadows walking back and forth.

We would look directly at it, and it would disappear.

one night laying in bed,

I felt hands tucking the sheets under me.

It was absolutely terrifying.

in the living room, we've heard a crying sound.

one night, a big black misty cloud-like mass

darted through our room into the living room,

and then it just vanishes.

This is not what we envisioned

when we moved into this house.

one day, I got home from work.

I pulled in the driveway,

and I glanced up,

and I saw a man walking in my driveway,

towards the neighbor's house.

I saw him go behind a tree, and he disappeared.

After that is when things escalated.

we had a cat in the bed with us.

His tail started beating,

and he became very interested

in something in the bathroom.

I reached over to my nightstand and grabbed a flashlight

and went to go check out the bathroom.

I didn't see anything,

but I walked into a very cold pocket of air,

and about that time,

my flashlight started flickering out.

I had fresh batteries. It was a new flashlight.

As a parent, it is unnerving knowing

that something's lurking around

in the same house as our children.

That makes the situation even more desperate.

With the activity that's going on,

the stress alone

worries me about the health of this pregnancy.

I feel like this activity's definitely

gonna get more and more aggressive.

We just don't know where to turn or what to do.
