- Previously on "The Hunting Party"...
It's called the Pit.
It's home to the most dangerous and violent criminals
in history, all of whom the world believes are dead.
Or at least it was, until the blast hit.
How many inmates got out?
The exact number is unclear.
But you're here, Agent Henderson,
to help us catch them.
- The blast that collapsed the Pit was no accident.
It was a jailbreak.
- The only reason someone invents a terrible lie is
to cover an even worse truth.
- The breach occurred in the office of Oliver Odell.
- I need you to send me everything
the agency has on him right away.
.
- * I wish I could explain to you *
* What happens in my mind *
* That makes me do *
* The things I do *
* Time after time *
* Something in my soul *
* I can't control *
* Keeps pulling me away *
* It shows up here about sundown *
* Stays till light of day *
* There's a honky-tonk demon *
* Somewhere inside of me *
* And it don't matter where I go *
Let me get you your change.
$3.10.
- Time to renew my hunting license.
- Sure. Let me get the form for you.
* Of this honky-tonk demon *
* In my soul *
* *
[train horn blaring in distance]
* *
Which way are you headed?
- I'm--I'm camping a few miles north of town.
It's your lucky day.
I'm headed that way.
Hop on in.
* *
- How are things between you and Odell?
What do you mean?
- Has he told you any more about the blast?
- We haven't really had a chance to talk about it.
- Well, I need you to talk to him about it.
Oliver Odell knows a lot more about what happened
than he's saying.
- You can't seriously be suggesting
that Odell had something to do with the blast.
If he knew what was gonna happen,
he would not have been down there in the Pit.
- I'm not saying he masterminded the explosion.
But he has proven he's the type of person
that will cross that line.

Bex.
You got a sec?
I see you and Hassani are carpooling now.
- Yeah, well, you know, I would call an Uber.
But the last time I did that,
security strip-searched the driver.
Do you trust him?
Hassani?
Yeah, I mean, in a boots-on-the-ground,
guns-out kind of way, sure.
But he is CIA.
So deception's kind of his thing.
So trust, yeah, but also verify, right?
Does he trust you?
Why?
Bex, listen. You're, uh--
you're the most talented profiler I know.
That's why you're here.
But I also need eyes in the back of my head right now.
Hassani's looking for someone to take the blame
for the blast.
- And you think he wants to blame you, the warden?
- I think he's the kind of guy you bring in
to make problems go away.
* *
- What do you think they're talking about?
You.
- Look, Oliver, you need to tell me
everything that you know
about the blast, the experiments.
I can't help you if I don't know
what actually happened down there.
I've already said all I can.
Come in.
Ma'am, sir, we got a hit.
* *
What's your name?
Brenda.
Earl.
Is there a Mr. Brenda in the picture?
No.
So who are you camping with?
- Just me and the great outdoors.
I like that.
* *
Where are we going?
- There's a great lookout spot just up ahead.
You gotta see it.
Best view in the whole state.
You'll love it.
Go ahead.
- This is a sporting goods store
outside Billings, Montana.
When?
Ten minutes ago.
Prisoner L04.
Highly volatile and unpredictable.
Convicted for the brutal murders of 17 people--
that we know of.
But police think there were many more bodies
that were never found because of their remote location
in the woods.
And because the corpses were so badly dismembered.

- A little slice of heaven, am I right?
We should probably go back.
- Why don't we go stretch our legs for a minute?
You're not in a rush, are you?
* *
Edge of the lake down there,
some of the best deer hunting in the state.
You like to hunt?
- Only when I see something I want.
Is that right?
What was his MO?
- Man is an apex predator, ain't he?
Not him.
Her.

- Convict's name is Brenda Lowe.
She's one of the most prolific female serial killers
ever seen.
As far as the rest of the world is concerned,
she died in prison in 2015.
That's when we got her.
* *
.

Hey.
Figured the, uh, snack situation could
use a bit of an upgrade.
Thank you.
Brenda Lowe?
I didn't even know she was in the Pit.
I was in college when she was caught.
I was at Quantico.
- All right, it's not a competition.
Eh.
Okay.
- My wolves like to start with the chest,
the heart, the lungs,
all the soft tissue.
Human muscle is harder to chew through.
- Did you ever join in with your wolves?
- Are you asking me if I'm a cannibal?
Are you?
No.
My wolves didn't kill for sport.
They killed to feed themselves,
to protect themselves from the world
that wanted to kill them.
You wouldn't bat an eyelash at someone
who ate venison for dinner.
Why are hunters allowed to eat animals,
but animals aren't allowed to eat hunters?
Interesting question.
But you just didn't kill hunters.
You killed some hikers.
- They killed a hiker once and refused to eat him.
I couldn't understand why,
until I saw the tumors all over his body.
Killing him was a blessing.
He must have been in so much pain.
- You don't think it's painful, being eaten alive by wolves?
I think it's glorious.
She's fascinating.
She's one of seven siblings of a wealthy family.
Well-educated, highly intelligent,
by all accounts, very charming.
But as she got older, she started to develop
antisocial tendencies.
The last time she ever spoke to anyone in her family
was the day her parents died.
Then she used that inheritance to buy thousands of acres
of land in Montana to rehabilitate
the gray wolf population in that area.
- And the longer she stayed out there,
the more unstable she became.
