Right after the liberation of Korea, communists decide to assassinate General Nam O-cheon because he has changed his postion on trusteeship by the Soviet Union and the U.S. and left the Party. They think that if they can kill him before he makes a statement against trusteeship to the people, they can claim to the world tat he was killed by right wingers.
