The first 162 lines.

In every house,

there lives an invisible creature called a Finn.

Finns keep things in order, protect their humans,

and create that certain coziness

that makes a home feel like a home.

Usually Finns stay hidden out of sight,

but there's always the exception.

And this particular Finn revealed himself to the young girl

who lives in his house.

He made her a bracelet out of his Finn fur

and now she can see and hear him all the time.

These two have the kind of friendship

that you only hear about in the greatest of songs.

Hey, is this microphone on?

Why can't anyone see us?

Nice try, but I'll never confess.

Of course we are.

We won't tell you though.

I bet you'll never guess.

Huh? Not this again.

Why do I keep hearing these noises?

Uh, gotta get some sleep.

It's like we're dead.

It's a win-win.

Look, I'm up here.

The one takes care of the other.

So kitty cats, that's how you pick friends

that are the cat's meow and keep clear of the kitty litter.

Meow.

Hey, it's me, Lisa Meow,

and I'm here to tell you what you must wear this season.

So go to your closet and open that door.

I'm going.

No way, girl. Do you see that?

Uh-huh, I do.

You need to throw it all out.

But not all.

Yeah, all of it.

Then you can find a whole new wardrobe on Berg Design.

She's so right.

I'm done with you, and you, and you, and you, and you, and you.

Oh, yes.

Hey, what's going on?

Your door's broken or something?

I'm really pulling, but it just won't open.

It's not broken, Finnick.

It's just locked, okay?

Huh, what? But why?

I need my own personal space.

Hey, listen, I kept quiet

when you stopped playing our video game

'cause of school stuff,

not to mention when you missed the Outer Space marathon,

but this time you have pushed it to far, missy.

This is my house and all the personal spaces are mine.

What do you think of this?

Finnick, no!

It's not my fault.

You're the one who locked me out.

I don't have time for this.

I'm late for school.

Chris, wait.

You're not mad, are you?

That'll come right out.

Finnick, you're just making it worse.

We'll talk later, okay?

Yeah sure, later,

'cause I'll be waiting right here in your personal space.

Mom, check it out. That's a real monster.

The Museum of Finns.

It's not just our history alone, it's also the--

I'm an Egyptian Finn.

This museum represents our past,

and without the past, there can be no--

Hey, hey, gather round, gather round.

Keep your paws off the exhibits.

They're all very old and could fall apart.

Are you older?

A few are even older than I am.

And so since the beginning of time,

Finns have protected the homes of their humans.

Oh, and what is that?

Oh, that?

Well, there,

there were once very dark times for us Finns.

There were certain humans who discovered our existence

and considered every Finn their enemy.

They called themselves Finn hunters.

One set out to make the ultimate Finn hunting weapon,

and this was no ordinary weapon.

It was a staff that would make every Finn suddenly visible,

once it struck the town bell.

The bell rang through the town

and the Finns had nowhere to hide

now that everyone could see them.

We were captured

and locked in cages,

doomed to serve humans for the rest of time.

So then we all got captured?

No, this sad story has a happy ending.

A brave Finn stepped up

to challenge the Finn hunters, very heroic.

He took the villain's staff

and saved us all from the life of enslavement.

And his name was Finistocles.

Before you as a fragment of that very staff.

And now I'm going to test your listening skills.

Can you tell me the name

of the brave Finn who saved us all?

Oh.

Finnick, Finnick!

Look, it's Finnick.

Leave me alone.

What am I, your toy?

Ye, where'd they come from?

They're from the new apartment complex.

What are you doing here?

Ah, I don't have time for you clingy, kids.

I need your advice.

And then she says to me, I need my own personal space.

Oh, Finnick, that's normal. Christine's growing up.

She's got her own life to live.

What about my life?

Step aside, Finnick, humans come and go.

Change with time and move on.

Just embrace it

and take care of the ones who are still there.

But what if she's barely ever home?

You'll get used to it.

But for now, don't lose sight of this.

The two of you have always made one special team.

Of course, so what we need here

is a little change of approach.

We need a...

a party!

Then Christine will remember how much fun we have

and she'll get back to her old self.

Ha.

No, Finnick. I don't think you heard me, huh?

Oh, thanks for the great advice. You're the best.

- -

Do you wanna lose your voice again?

Hi, little Chrissy Whissy.

Mom, you are on speaker. You can't call me that.

That's right.

Now that she's in high school,

heaven forbid you call her Chrissy Whissy.

That's Christine Whistine to you.

What's up? How's the film going?

Oh, the director liked the script so much

that he decided to write a tiny bit in the beginning,

and in the middle, and the end, completely.

So that means you'll probably be away longer, right?

Don't worry, honey.

It's just for a couple extra days.

Oh, no worries.

Pizza and TV are a great substitute for you guys. It's cool.

I need all the ears right now.

I just finished rewriting all of my rewrites.

Well, that's our cue.

Love you.

Night night.
