It's pretty amazing.

I raise and butcher my own chickens.

Anatomy here isn't that far off.

Duck a la beach.

That's how we do it in a bush.

Spit roasted duck.

It's kinda... Kinda well done.

But I'd rather have it well done than like weirdly raw.

It's chewy.

It ain't bad.

So now that Dave is here, it means everything.

It means we can get on with the plans that we have had and

wanted to execute based on our location since the very beginning.

Now that he is here, we can... we can move it and shake it.

You know?

It's like game on now.

We feel complete.

That's a protein packed lunch.

Now we have duck fuel.

Well, I found my first slug in a long time.

They look dumb, but they're freaking Houdini's.

They're escape artists.

I wonder how much protein that is right there.

Probably a good amount.

That is the kind of situation I'm in right

now, is that I'm excited to eat one of these.

Just kidding.

I'm gonna cook this guy up.

That's some much needed protein.

Foraging as I go isn't quite giving me the calories I need.

I really want to meet up with Ted today because my food supply is running very low.

And I'm really concerned I'm just not gonna make it there and I'm gonna have to

camp out in the bush again tonight, which would suck.

You know, I kind of have a feeling that Ted's just absolutely crushing it out there.

Like he's just hauling in tons of fish.

He's got a smoker going.

God, I hope I get there soon.

I don't know how much more of this I can take.

My water tastes like fish.

Wonderful.

Brushing my teeth with fish water this morning.

I've decided that I have to change my shelter.

I want to make it a little bigger for when Jim gets here.

I'm gonna build a lean-to style.

Still no Jim yet today.

I hope he's doing all right.

And that he can find me when he gets here and he

doesn't go the wrong way and all that kind of stuff.

Ideally, I'd like to have something more than this puny wire up here.

When Jim gets here, it's gonna be a huge benefit for me.

Just a new sense of hope.

Jim is a larger-than-life kind of guy.

He's not afraid to get his hands dirty.

You know, it's inspirational.

Jim is a lot of the reason why we're on this adventure.

It's just really been a driving force getting me into some of the outdoor

activities that fueled my confidence in so many ways.

All right, well, I'm just gonna have to do for the time being.

Thought I had a crash.

Guess it wasn't Jim.

Unbelievable.

Starting to look like Jim isn't gonna make it again.

We better get here soon because I'm starting to lose my mind.

Just when I thought things were really, really

bad, they all of a sudden got way worse.

Um, my bearing hit these cliffs over here.

You can't see them, but they're sheer cliffs.

So, to get around the cliffs, I have to walk up what's behind me here.

Look at this.

It's basically a freaking mountain climb.

And it's borderline too dangerous to even try.

But, I mean, I gotta do it.

What the hell else am I supposed to do here?

So, this is gonna use a lot of my energy.

At least there's a lot of things to grab hold off along the way.

The 50 pound pack on makes it all the more fun.

At this point, if I fall, it wouldn't be good.

Probably wouldn't die, but, uh, I could get real hurt.

I'll tell you that right now.

Hopefully that was the hardest part.

I'm feeling like this is taking way too long and way too much energy.

And because of this, there's no way I'm gonna be able to get to Ted.

Which is freaking upsetting.

So, getting into camp, I realized my dad actually found a great spot.

And he's got a great shelter.

So, we're kind of covered in that regard.

We just gotta start getting some food.

We are going to put some set lines down.

You know, just some passive fishing.

Having two people, you can split the workload.

That'll be incredibly beneficial as far as energy conservation.

And just in a mental aspect, you'll have somebody else there.

The negatives of it, however, is that all those

resources are now split between two people.

And as time progresses, those resources...

I mean, they're literally dwindling twice as fast.

I'm gonna be using something about this size.

I got my degree in fisheries management.

I love fish.

I like thinking the way fish think.

I like catching fish.

I just like everything about fish.

When I get to a water body, I'm able to make

an educated guess what kind of fish live there.
