Taking a closer look at our amazing finalists.

Jesse and I have been partners for eight years.

We challenge each other. We keep it spicy.

My aunt is always trying to flirt with Gordon.

Rachel: We've been married for two years.

What bonded us together was food.

We conquered each other's belly before we conquered each other's hearts.

Plus, we are peeling back the curtain on unseen footage...

This is "MasterChef: Dynamic Duos" Road To The Finale.

Season 15, for me personally,

is one of the most exciting seasons

in the history of this competition.

Although when we started, we had no idea

what we were letting ourselves in for,

but it was clear that this incredible collection

of couples, family, friends, and co-workers

were about to keep us very entertained.

- We even have a divorced couple. - Woo-hoo-hoo!

- How long have we been divorced? - Almost 14 years.

- 14 years? - Yes, Chef.

That's gonna be interesting watching you two cook.

- I love that. - Yeah!

And from the first day of auditions,

we could see that having partners in the kitchen

was gonna give us something extra special.

Tell us a little bit about how y'all know each other.

We're the cozy couple from Grassflat, Pennsylvania,

and we're happily married.

Wow, you guys are in sync.

We're crazy Cuban firefighters representing Miami.

We just got married, and this is our honeymoon right now.

What? Hope it's worth it.

- It's definitely worth it. - Definitely worth it.

We work together in an emergency veterinary hospital.

Wow. You sort of bring animals back from the dead?

- Sometimes. Sometimes we do. - We attempt.

We're anxious to put some Southern flavor in your mouth.

- Love it. Love it. - Put the South in your mouth.

Joe: The South in my mouth.

You are now fighting for a spot in the MasterChef kitchen.

- Let's see who's the best. - Come on, Ash. Let's do it!

You're about to get extinguished.

- You're going down! - You're going down!

- Whoo! - Aivan and Tina,

give us an insight into the dish you're making.

We're making my grandma's steamed bass.

You need to speak up honey.

- We cannot hear nothing from you. - Can you hear me over there?

- She's got the big mouth. Not me. - Whoo!

- Would you like to hear her yodel? - No, no, go.

That is amazing. It sounds like Joe Bastianich on a bad day.

Kayla and Ryan Kate, please step forward. Thank you.

- Bring your dish. - Obviously the dish, you donuts.

- Let's go. Now. - ( bleep )

Oh, man. They got a "donut" so quick.

The chicken is juicy, maybe almost too juicy somehow.

- A word no one has ever said! - Never!

- I'll take that. - Yeah, we'll take that.

- She knows what I'm talking about. - I don't know.

- I don't know what you're talking about. - Don't blame her.

Jokes aside, it was soon clear to us that these duos could seriously cook.

The dish tastes as good as it looks. It's delicious.

- Thank you. - Thank you, Chef.

Great flavor that is happening within that chicken.

- Thank you, Chef. - You guys are bringing solid technique.

This is a high-level dish. Good job.

Thank you so much.

But with only eight aprons to hand out...

...we had to break a few hearts.

Please tell us you've got two more aprons back there. Please.

I wish we had. Thank you, ladies.

- Joe: Good night. - ( sniffles )

Jesse and Jessica, the dish was exceptional.

On any other audition, hands down,

aprons easily deserved.

- Pleasure to meet you all. - Keep your heads up.

I just hate losing talent like that. I hate it.

Tiffany: Man, to send somebody home that cooked like that.

Oh, my goodness me. They don't deserve to go home.

So on the heels of the toughest audition battles to date,

Joe, Tiffany, and myself did something we've never done before.

We've decided that such rare talent deserves a second chance.

- Stop. - Uh-oh.

- What? - Let's go!

We gave the losing duos a second stab

at winning a white apron.

- We're back! - Holy crap.

Joe: Tonight, you must make us a dish

that proves that you are fit for this competition.

- Perfect. - How's it smelling?

- Smells good. Smells good. - Javi and Luis, you got this, boys.

We got this. We know how to do this dish.

We do. We've done it so many times.

What does this second chance mean to you?

It means the world to us. We came here to win, and to be given that chance again,

- we're gonna take it and run with it. - Absolutely.

Jesse and Jessica, lamb's cooked beautifully.

Got that really nice vibrant flavor, those spices.

- Well done. - Thank you.

We made room for four more duos in the competition.

- Oh, my God! We got our aprons! - We got our aprons, baby!

- Yes! - The duo who have earned the final white aprons,

- Jessica and Jesse. - Yes!

It sounded like the return of the Incredible Hulk there.

Jessica: Losing that first audition battle was actually the best thing

that could have ever happened to us

because it lit a fire that has kept us alive.

And that's what makes us a fearsome duo going into this finale.

Gordon: For finalists Jesse and Jessica,

missing their first chance at an apron...

- Yes, baby! - ...was the perfect motivation

to fight tooth and nail for a spot in the grand finale.

Jesse and I have been partners for eight years.

Ever since we met each other, we have been passionate

about doing something in the culinary world together.

- We live and breathe food. - Live and breathe food. Yeah, it's our everything.

Where's the vinaigrette? Where's the-- get that going.

- It's right here. It's right here. - Put it together.

The dynamic between Jess and I

would be very, like, raw.

Raw emotion all the time.

- Jessica? - What?

- How much cream? - One tablespoon!

- Do you have to yell at me? - Is he for real?

- We keep it spicy. We keep it interesting. - Yeah.

Jessica: But we challenge each other.

And especially in the MasterChef kitchen, sometimes that's tough.

- Hurry up. - I'm trying. I'm trying.

Babe, you got to be careful with your green food coloring everywhere.

I look at the Wicked Witch of the West. Jess.

Just like all couples, we have our moments,

but we have proven time and time again that as a duo, we work great together.

- Jesse and Jessica. - Yes!

- Yes! - Jessica and Jesse, well done.

Yes, baby.

Visually, you deliver every time with such finesse,

and it just looks like you've got that harmony across the sweet, spicy aspect.

- Thank you, Chef. - Tiffany: That pork chop,

it's a whole 'nother flavor profile.

- It's great. - Thank you, Chef.

Joe: If you put these dishes under my nose blind,

I wouldn't tell the difference between eating one and the other,

and that's the greatest compliment I can give you.

- Thank you. - Thank you, Joe.

The duo entering into the finale, Jessica and Jesse.

I cannot believe we're in the finale. This is amazing.

We have a chance to win $250,000 and the title of MasterChef.

Jessica, there's a synchronization like no other. How'd you form that?

Well, Chef, we've been partners for eight years,

so I feel like we've been training for this.

And this competition has only further enhanced that and made us stronger.

Jesse, is there ever a potential ring somewhere down the line?

I mean, eight years? No disrespect.

I think with $250,000, we want to save that money

to buy a house or buy into our business,

and then maybe a little Jesse/Jess Jr.

- running around after that, so... - Love that.

- Yeah! - Both: I love you.

Jess brings out the best in me, though. Let's be real.

She makes me stronger every single day,

and when you see me tearing up, it's just 'cause I'm like,

man, I have the perfect woman in the world

and I wouldn't have it any other way.

While we may not be technically married by law,

we are in this together forever.
