EXCEEDS' extermination of the invasive species is proceeding smoothly.

We've completely exterminated all the real bad invaders, the progenitors,

that fall under the jurisdiction of their Far East Branch.

Now I'm being dispatched to the overseas branches

to help defeat the remaining progenitors throughout the world.

I even got to meet Director Yagami's knights,

who have been playing an important role at the overseas branches.

The knights are old buddies of Nano-chan and Fay-chan.

Everyone works hard to fulfill their responsibilities,

and they respect Director Yagami.

She's like a cool adult.

I was surprised when I saw a girl even smaller than Nano-chan,

but she was my senior

and an upstanding adult.

The chief secretary at Headquarters, Rein-san,

is Director Yagami's daughter.

Even though they're not blood relatives,

they're certainly far from strangers.

it should be possible to wipe out the progenitors within the year.

The individual confirmed to be the oldest of the progenitors.

Progenitor Zero suddenly vanished from its location 12 years ago,

and its whereabouts are still unknown.

We haven't been able to confirm any activity from Zero

since it went missing 12 years ago,

but we're certain it's still alive.

It's shown explosive reproduction,

giving birth to several dozen billion eggs every breeding season.

The young released from those eggs fly through the sky, flow through the rivers,

and spread to devour plants and animals far and wide.

You only see this act of mass reproduction amongst the progenitors.

It combines the problematic aspects of both plant and pest reproduction,

while creating beasts that are even more dangerous than bears.

There's also a poison that lingers in those beasts' corpses,

causing disruptions to the affected ecosystems.

We've confirmed that many now commonplace invasive species

originated from that damage.

You know, that kind of sounds like active hostility toward existing creatures.

It does, doesn't it?

We're still pouring all our resources into the search for Zero's location.

So, you're positive no one has defeated it and isn't already dead?

Its young and other by-products continue to flow through the black market.

Some nation, or perhaps some organization backing Diaboli...

Something like that is likely using Zero and keeping it hidden.

So once we're able to exterminate all the progenitors, including Zero,

the threat to this world will drastically decrease.

So, we just keep exterminating progenitors until we find Zero then?

a pair of dangerous individuals, Three and Four.

The area has been heavily polluted by the battle between mankind and the invaders,

so it's designated as an Exceptionally Hazardous Region.

They call it a land of death, where no creature can survive,

but there's a Diaboli drug manufacturing plant within it.

There are also two dangerous invasive species nearby,

and it seems parts of them are being used to create Diaboli drugs.

They can get all the ingredients they want,

and normal people can't investigate or attack them, huh?

Getting around sounds like a hassle,

so they probably have someone with a transport power like Yuzu on hand.

Also...

We've been able to confirm that Shinomiya and Kuragi

have been coming in and out of this facility.

It looks like there's something resembling a research lab underground.

There's also a chance that this is the facility Towa-san spent her childhood in.
