We are going to a haunted hospital.

The caretaker was possessed this year.

It looked like she was being dragged,

screaming on top of her lungs.

I've never seen anything like it.

Apparently, there was a double murder down here.

Do you see the blood on the wall?

My name is Dakota Laden.

I am a documentary filmmaker.

For the past few years, I've been investigating

the paranormal with Zak Bagans and the "Ghost Adventures" crew.

Dakota Laden. Welcome, buddy.

I grew up in a house where paranormal activity

terrorized my entire family.

It has gripped my sister,

my childhood best friend,

and me ever since.

So, I had an idea --

a psychological experiment... Aah!

...where I would test how terror affects the human mind,

what it reveals about our true selves,

and just how much of it a person can withstand.

To understand the paranormal,

first we need to overcome our fear.

I'm leading us on a road trip to explore

the most haunted abandoned locations in all of America.

Each night, we'll separate and sleep alone.

The catch is, I'm the only one who knows where we're going.

This time I've been given the opportunity

to choose this next destination,

and I brought the guys down here to Texas.

They're actually behind me, riding go-karts.

Oh, my gosh.

They are so screwed.

They're having a little bit too much fun right now.

They have no idea what they're in for.

I only get one chance to pick a location,

so I'm gonna make the most of it.

We are going to a foreboding and forgotten hospital.

This hospital is the most haunted location

in southeast, Texas.

There have been 2,000 people that have passed away

during its 30-year operation.

There's a unique variety of spirits here --

the hospital's resident priest, the nuns who ran the facility,

and reportedly, a demon in the chapel.

There have been reports of shadow figures,

violent pushing, touching and even possession.

The caretaker was possessed earlier this year.

She spoke in tongues, screamed at the touch of water

and even spewed bile.

In the basement, people report seeing black mist,

experience extreme temperature fluctuations

and have an eerie feeling of being watched.

I chose this location for a handful of reasons,

but one being just my fascination and interest

in the medical field.

When I'm not on the road with the guys,

I'm a full-time optometry student.

So I'm hoping that my experiences

in the medical field

will help me to connect to this location a little more.

Yorktown Memorial Hospital.

"Hidden away at the end of Main Street

in the remote outpost of Yorktown, Texas,

looms the ominous and forgotten Yorktown Memorial Hospital.

Built by the Felician Sisters in 1950,

this 30,000-square-foot structure

was the only medical facility outside of San Antonio, Texas."

I know a lot of people want this place condemned.

They want it destroyed because Yorktown

is supposed to be a nice little town,

but it is part of Yorktown whether you like it or not.

"Allegations of fatal neglect, malpractice,

and even murder plagued the hospital

throughout its 30 years in operation.

It's estimated that nearly 2,000 people

passed away at the hospital."

To think that that many people died here is incredible.

It's the whole population of Yorktown.
