Middleweight hurt machine T-Rex takes on the surging hazard.

The survivor of that fight faces the winner of the showdown between Little

Drummer Boy and Sabotage for the glory of the middleweight championship.

Then the championship drama rolls in the lightweight division.

In the semis, Salad looks to out duel Dr. Inferno Jr.

Then Gamerafter faces Wedge of Doom, leaving the winners one

last three minute journey to see who will win the ultimate prize.

Welcome to Battle Box Championship Action.

I'm Tim Green and tonight's first fight

features two fighters who have yet to lose ever.

With the tail of the electrical tape, my partner Bill Dwyer.

Thanks a lot Tim. This is going to be a great one.

T-Rex and Hazard are combined 13 and 0 with 8 knockouts.

T-Rex is armed with a reversible spinning

spike and protected by a nasty spike front.

Bret Regan's Idaho middleweight has an average KO time of a minute 46.

Number two ranked Hazard, builder Tony Bucconiani may be slightly distracted.

He's still got Wedge of Doom fighting in the lightweight semi.

While Hazard's made some slight adjustments, here's Tony Bucconiani.

With the effect of T-Rex, my blade is a little higher I

think than their body, maybe just at the very top edge.

But I've got a wedge on the front that'll bring them right up to the blade height.

So as long as I hit them with a wedge I'm in good shape.

Let's go down to the box.

This is a BattleBot semi-final contest in the middleweight division.

Introducing in the red square, the sparks you see are not special effects.

It's the robot getting destroyed by the killer T-Rex.

And in the blue square, he's looking to be the

first BattleBot champion ever to reclaim his title.

His ultimate goal is to raise the robot's death toll.

Here is Hazard.

Here we go, the box is locked, the lights are on, it's robot fighting time.

Hazard, with that deadly blade up to full speed,

needs to scoop up T-Rex and he does, and he cracks it.

But again, the weapon on T-Rex, the way it's designed, hard to get underneath him.

Yes, T-Rex bending off Hazard with a deadly blow from his spinning blade.

Yeah, there's a lot of room to get under T-Rex, but you gotta get at him first.

T-Rex bending off again.

T-Rex apparently stuck on the spike strip.

That could be it. You know, T-Rex packed himself into that wall there,

and yeah, he's stuck on the spike strip between the screw and Hazard.

Look at the damage done to the side of T-Rex.

But he freed him from the wall.

Hazard backing up again. He'll want to start

spinning those blades, but T-Rex is free now.

Hazard's deadly blade up to full speed,

eyeing T-Rex. T-Rex with that defensive spin.

T-Rex knows what he's gotta do. He's gotta turn that into an offensive spin.

T-Rex slows down. Hazard up and under him.

And he was underneath the skirt of Hazard right there.

Hazard coming in. You can't even see that blade. It's spinning

so fast. It looks like it's moving backwards, but it's not.

You think he's gonna take off.

Radar O'Reilly hears T-Rex. He hears Hazard from miles away.

Oh, Hazard popping T-Rex again.

Oh, man.

So quick.

T-Rex, a slight hit to Hazard.

But that's the way to come in on him. Get a hit on him and spin and nail him.

Now Hazard's up under T-Rex.

Can he drive him into one of the Hazards? Drive him into the spikes.

There's Hazard showing some excellent driving abilities and surprising power.

This is what T-Rex did in his previous fight, and he's won it. Just kept hitting.

T-Rex.

Hazard just nods. He's just not a ferocious

fricking ball in that blade. He's just spinning.

Hazard strikes one final time.

Come on!

That's it.

Confidence running.

The Regans, they've got nothing to be ashamed of.

Let's take a look at the replays.

Look at the deadly force of Hazard's blade striking T-Rex.

And there, you see him. He hit him hard but freed him from the spike strip also.

Hazard also able to use that wedge to march T-Rex around the box.

Ladies and gentlemen, the three judges at ArenaSide have turned in a 27-18 decision

for the winner and advancing to the championship finals, the blue square, Hazard.

Hazard wins it and heads to the finals. Bill, let's see the stats.

Hazard hit harder and more often, 12-3.

Scored the lone Hazard damage and, because

of the strength of his spinning whammy bar,

did more damage with his weapon while being outscored in that category, 13-9.

Let's get down to the floor.

Did he damage your weapon?

Well, right in the beginning, he managed to get

one of the wheels and it couldn't go forward.

It could only go back.

But he had you stuck in the corner.

He was kind enough to hit me out of the

corner, so I could put us on the other side.

It was a great tournament. Congratulations on getting this far.

So it's on to the finals for you.

It's on to the finals. I'm ecstatic. I had no idea I'd make it this far.

I'm so happy for you. You couldn't have

done well throughout the entire competition.

Yeah, it's not as spectacular as a few of the other robots,

but it keeps getting through, so that's what it takes.

Well, congratulations to you, and I'm so anxious to see you on next up.

Well, Hazard barely has time to catch his breath.

He's coming right back in the box to fight for the nuts.

And against who? We'll find out after little drummer boy and sabotage square off.

I will break it down middle school.

Now, I'm not surprised to see these bots in the

semis, but both these robots are a bit of an X factor.

Matt Sabatino's big grinning wedge, Sabatage,

uses a heave-um and leave-um flipping arm.

He surpassed his number eight ranking to

make his first stop in his semifinal match.

Little drummer boy has impressed the competition

with his 25-pound steel drum spinning at 4,000 RPM.

At 6-0 with four KOs, Steve Bischer's machine may just have a shot to win it all.

Let's get down to the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is a Dattlebox

semifinal event in the middleweight division.

Introducing in the red square to my right, you can pick up your crap

and head back to your garage when you're done tackling with Sabatage.

Very few people expected to see Sabatage make it this far in the tournament.

And in the blue square, come we told you, pa rum pum pum pum.

And what's the pounding delivered by little drummer boy?

We've seen the type of spinning drum weapon once before with El Diablo.

The boxers lock the lights around, it's robot fighting time.

Drummer boy coming at Sabatage with that drum bumping him.

Sabatage lifting drummer boy.

Sabatage using that wedge and the lifting arm to

bend off little drummer boy and pops it again.

Little drummer boy has been one of the most dangerous bots in this tournament.

KOs, KOs, KOs.

The key for Sabatage will be to keep his wedge face toward drummer boy.

He does not want to take it from his side as he's in there.

You can flip him, you can keep that arm up, grab him, push him around.

Sabatage pops drummer boy with six points, causes Sabatage.

Where's the arm, where's the arm?

He's a self running bot, he's on his side.

Sabatage, can he recover?

Drummer boy knocks him in the air with Sabatage.

He's back on his feet.

Drummer boy coming after him.

Sabatage may be finished.

Little drummer boy is waiting for the countdown and here it comes.

The deadly drum has pounded his feet once

again here in the semi -finals and it's over.

It will be drummer boy versus Hazard in the finals.

Oh, he's moving.

Too late.

Too late.

It's back alive now, it works fine.

Not too bad, could have been a great one.

Sabatage came out early and tossed drummer

boy, as you can see here, taking an early lead.

Sabatage, early superiority, gives him a nice pop of the flipping arm.

Here it is.

That must have been a shot that incapacitated the drive train.

The winner by knockout and advancing to the championship

In just a moment, the last two warriors in the middleweight division will trade

blows until only one remains and that one will be the winner of the giant nut.

And you know what, Tim, to have survived this far in a BattleBot season is the

mark of a well-oiled, well-tooled machine, but especially in this division.

These robots have had plenty to fear before they got

a taste of the rookie fighters in their weight class.

Bill Nye shows us some who could be and one

who is the middleweight rookie of the year.

The middleweight division has some powerful new robo blood.

As rookies like Double Agent with his versatile design

and three knockouts make him a wedge with a future.

Then there's the Toro disciple T-Minus.

Rookie sensation T-Minus finished with a five-and-one record

with five knockouts and an average KO time of a minute 13.

But the middleweight rookie of the year goes to finalist Little Drummerboy.

With five KOs and a seven-and -oh record going into tonight's

final, he has already proven himself a rotating force.

Hazard seems to be the one to beat and if any bot is going to

knock him down, Little Drummerboy's numbers say he's the one.
