Welcome to Big Sky Country, Montana.

This time around, I'm the one in control.

Oh, Tanner! A prison! Yeah.

I hate prisons.

You had to do something pretty bad to be sent here.

I got shanked.

It actually felt like somebody had taken a knife and just...

It's got to be close to about 200 inmates

and guards that have died here at the prison.

How many pieces of people still exist on this landscape?

Now it's time to go sleep alone.

Whoa! ****

What the **** was that?

My name is Dakota Laden.

I am a documentary filmmaker.

For the past few years, I've been investigating

the paranormal with Zak Bagans and the "Ghost Adventures" crew.

Dakota Laden. Welcome, buddy.

I grew up in a house where paranormal activity

terrorized my entire family.

It has gripped my sister,

my childhood best friend,

and me ever since.

So, I had an idea --

a psychological experiment... Aah!

...where I would test how terror affects the human mind,

what it reveals about our true selves,

and just how much of it a person can withstand.

To understand the paranormal,

first we need to overcome our fear.

I'm leading us on a road trip to explore

the most haunted abandoned locations in all of America.

Each night, we'll separate and sleep alone.

The catch is, I'm the only one who knows where we're going.

Welcome to Big Sky Country, Montana.

Normally, Dakota is the one who plans the whole trip.

But this time around, I'm the one in control.

We've decided that each of us gets a chance

to pick a haunted location.

So, I'm the only one who knows where we're going this time.

The team right now is hanging out a hot springs spa.

I think it's gonna be their one chance of happiness

right before we go to this location.

Tanner's talking about some whatever --

the location we're going to.

Well, we don't care right now.

'Cause we're about to have some fun!

Whoo! Oh, yeah, baby!

Ohhh!

Oh, my God! I'm a flying dolphin!

Aaah!

I can hear the guys back there having a blast,

but I don't think that they're ready,

'cause they're gonna be screaming

even more once they see the location.

Last time, Chelsea picked a hospital in Texas,

and this time, I picked an extremely secluded

abandoned prison in the middle of Montana.

In operation for 108 years,

the facility had hundreds of recorded violent deaths,

including botched executions,

accidental fatalities, murders, and suicides.

This prison has incredibly violent spirits,

known to choke, possess, push, and even shake visitors.

I ultimately selected this location because of Dakota.

Last time we went to a prison,

Dakota was physically attacked by a spirit of an inmate.

Go! Get up! Get up! Get up!

My back was, like, burning.

****

Are you kidding me?

Are you serious? Yes.

Okay, I'm -- no.

We got to go. I'm getting out of here.

I am nervous for every single one of us.

But the main goal is I want Dakota to be able

to face his fears of violent spirits head-on this time.

Okay, I don't know if I can jump that far.

I can! I can!

Oh, my gosh! He's so athletic!

I think you guys are gonna be thoroughly impressed

about how messed up this location is.

I just want to yell it out,

because I just can't hold it in.

Can we get a frickin' hint already about where we're going?

Geez, all right.

I can give you guys a couple of teases.

So, there's been a report that someone's been stabbed

by a spirit here.

What?

Stabbed?

How?

Like, physically been stabbed.

What the hell? No. Yeah.

Does it make sense with the location that we're going to?

100 percent.

200 people have died on this property.

I haven't even seen 200 people while I've been here.

Like, I've seen more cows than people, honestly.

True.

There was a certain point in time over 100 years ago

where there was a huge population burst.

And that actually alludes to where we're going to right now.

Right now? Right now.

So, I know that Montana is known as Big Sky Country.

But it's actually what's underground

that put this city on the map.

What are we talking about here?

We are gonna go underground into a mine. Ohh!

I've never been. Me neither.

Is there, like, a reason why you picked a mine?

So, because of the population boom here,

it really brought about the reason for the next location

that we're going to tomorrow night.

It's gonna be really cool. We're going deep underground.

Oh, my gosh. That's scary.

I don't know why. That scared me, too.

Well, it's time to get down and dirty.

All right!

You guys ready for this? Let's do it.

Oh, black cat.

Oh, you see a black cat. Black cat.

That's not a good sign. That's not a good sign.

Well, looks cute, though.

Hi, guys. How's it going, Larry? Tanner.

Welcome to Butte.

Thank you.

Excited to be here.

Can you tell us a little bit about the history here?

Butte was the biggest mining camp

in the United States at one time.

We produced a third of the copper

used in the United States.

That's incredible.

There were 17,000 men just working underground.

Wow.

One of our local residents here calls Butte a damn big deal.

Makes a lot of sense.

You guys will see when you go underground.

By all means, turn off all your electronic equipment

and your lights one time,

'cause you've never seen darkness like underground.

It's a completely -- it comes in and just envelops you.

So, I'm assuming, with hard working conditions like this

and so many people,

there must have been a lot of deaths down in the mines.

Oh, there were.

There were a lot of accidents and a lot of deaths.

I've seen 2,500 men killed in the mines.

Ooh!

You'll notice there's a lot of ghosts here, so...

Perfect.

That's what we're here for.

Thank you so much. I appreciate your time.

You're welcome. Enjoy yourself.

Thank you for everything.

I hope you find what you're looking for.

Hey, you guys, be safe down there.

Okay. Thank you. Thank you.

You never know what can happen.

I just got nervous.

Yeah, me too.

Did anyone else get freaked out by that?

Oh, my gosh, yes.

It's so dark in here.

Dude, you could easily get lost in these places.

Oh, totally.

It all looks the same.

100 percent.

I feel, like, really unsafe. Not gonna lie.

Do you guys want to shut the lights off

and see what it's really like?

Let's see what it looks like.

This is what pitch dark looks like.

Alex is the only one who can see anything

'cause he's got night vision.

That's insane. I have an idea.

Let's go quiet for a second and see if we hear anything.

Is there anybody here?

It's a cat! It's a cat!

What the **** There's a cat!

Whoa! No way!

That's insane!

Like, what are the odds?

Oh, my gosh!

On command -- "Is there anyone down here?"

"Meow!"

Oh, that was great!

That was gold.

All right. Let's keep moving.

Oh, my gosh.

So, Tanner, what does this have to do

with the location that we're going to?

You know, there was a bunch of men

that came here to find riches, and with greed comes aggression.

So, they had to build the location

that we're gonna go to next.

Let's just say, I think this would be a great spot

to do the packet read and find out where we're going.

Let's go a little bit deeper.
