English altyazı önizlemesi

İlk 200 satır.

Our daughter's not magic.

How do you know?

I'll run to the bike shop if we need. All right, Brat?

Do think of me at Christmastime,

won't you?

Sorry I'm late. Sorry.

Um, I...

Linda sp I No, I spilled coffee on my tie.

Uh...

Linda got it special for today, and...

she got the stain out, too.

I told her it wasn't worth it.

My dad hated ties, probably make fun of me for wearing it.

But...

...Larry McQueen's not here.

So...

I...

Larry McQueen did like whiskey,

Jameson when he could afford it.

Uh...the Stones, poetry.

Actually, I think the poetry was a secret.

Like, I found, um...

He had all these notebooks that he copied down

other people's poems into 'em.

And nice handwriting, too. Very, you know...

legible.

Uh, they were in this, um, box

all these notebooks under his bed.

I found, um, you know, Auden and Yeats, Thomas.

Now, I don't know if he read 'em

or if he just liked knowing that they were there.

But I was surprised that the old man liked poems

because he always gave me so much shit

about wanting to go to music s

music school.

Sorry.

I didn't really know him Larry.

Um...

Yeah, he moved to this cabin near Blanford

when I was in high school.

He said he was trying to be a better person.

That was a lie. I mean...

he was hiding.

I mean, he pretty much hid my whole life.

In bars, mostly.

Mm...

You know, even when he was was home,

he, uh...he was real quiet.

Like he thought maybe if he didn't say much,

nobody would notice that he was there.

My mom said that he wasn't always like that,

that before, uh, Vietnam, he was...

...funny.

A guy with jokes.

But, um, he came back on medical discharge

all pissed off about everything that he'd seen over there,

and more pissed off about nobody giving a shit over here.

And that was before I was born, so, you know...

Wonder what it'd be like to have a funny dad.

Um... Okay.

Um...

The first death I remember was my hamster, Fluff.

Uh, I let her out of her cage one day,

and she escaped into the Ronco's backyard

and Dickie Ronco shoved this firecracker down her throat

and blew her up.

I was 9.

My best friend, uh, was a s-skinny kid called Bridges.

Derrick Bridges.

Uh, sick bass player.

M-Maybe some of you guys remember that me and him,

we had a band called Left Turn.

Yeah!

Uh, we used to play out a little bit,

mostly at the Cove.

We toured a little bit.

Uh...

Yeah, he was, like, the funniest person that I ever knew.

And...wild, you know?

And we had a lot of fun

just playing music and touring and...

Then the summer before graduation,

his grandma found him in the basement.

He'd OD'd.

There's a lot of good folks in this town.

Um, everybody was s-so nice at his funeral.

I mean, I couldn't think, and I couldn't talk.

All I could do was, like,

just hug people, you know? Uh...

And I always swore that I'd never be like my dad.

But then, after, uh, Bridges died,

I enrolled in the Marine Corps because,

I-I don't know, like, I didn't...

I didn't know what else to do. I didn't...

You know, I just like I had no money, I no band.

You know, when I got back from the Gulf, I finally realized

why h-h-h-h-he

he was so pissed off all the time, Larry,

and why he drank and why he hid

because he knew there was no reason

for him to have been born,

and that nobody was gonna give a shit when he died.

And that made him feel helpless, you know?

And there's no worse feeling.

So, yeah, Larry McQueen.

Lived for nothing,

died for nothing, saw a lot of death,

and, I don't know, had me somewhere along the way.

So...

Chris.

Honey, are you okay?

It's okay.

Leave me alone!

Dad, wait! Vicki, just let him go.

Let him go.

Damn it.

Okay, hold on.

I replaced the, uh...

These things always have electrical problems.

Okay.

Alright, try it again.

Okay!

Dad, thank you.

You know, for the bike and the ANFO and your...

Thanks.

You ready?

Yeah, I'll meet you out there.

Ugh!

Mm.

I'm going to get our boy.

Yeah. Okay.

No I'm coming with you.

No, you're exhausted.

You fixed the Triumph. You've done enough for now.

Just stay here.

Look after your heart, okay?

Okay.

I love you.

I love you, too.

Oh, God.

I-I don't know about this

taking explosives over a magical bridge in the rain.

You are my only child, Vicki. My baby.

Yeah, Ma, and Wayne's mine and the...

the cops haven't found him. Time's running out.

This is the only way, alright? -What about your spleen?

You just got out of the hospital. I'm fine, Ma.

Made of steel. I promise.

Alright? Mm.

Just be careful.

Ready?

Let's see this Bridge.

Holy hell.

It's Wayne's.

Where's Wayne?

Where is he?!

You just missed him.

I-I tried to stop them.

I swear.

You gotta help me. Help you?

Who's gonna help her?!

Who's gonna help that little boy,

you sick son of a bitch, huh?!

Where is he?!

Where is he?!

Dad. Where is he?!

Dad, stop.

-Please stop. -Stop!

Stop! Dad, stop! Where is he?!

Where is he?! He can't help us if he's dead!

Bing!

Bing, come on. Wake up.

Wake up! Wake up!

Wake up!

Sorry.

Brat, I'm sorry.

Tabitha. We have Bing.

Tabitha.

Hey. Hey.

I got your message. Bing woke up this morning.

He's out of surgery. Did he give any information on Wayne?

Mnh-mnh.

No one at the hospital could get anything out of him.

Apparently, he just kept asking if they knew you.

It's been almost 24 hours.

Yeah, l-look, the FBI's doing everything they can.

They'll make him talk. I promise.

Where is he now? That's why I called.

They just transferred him.

He's here.

Turn.

Turn.

Thumb.

Forefinger.

Arms up.

Remove your shirt.

Drop your pants.

Take a seat.

I want a crack at him.

I know Bing.
