During spring holiday, teenagers from the Groningen village of Musselkanaal earn an extra euro cutting asparagus. At recess, couple in the making Alko and Marie make a bet: the one who can stick an asparagus in his or her throat the deepest wins. Alko is the clear loser and will have to give Marie what she wants: a kiss. A steamy spring romance finally seems to flare up, but it turns out his best friend Björn also has feelings for him.
