Hi everybody and welcome to Battlebox Fight Night, where violence is always the answer.

I'm Chris Rose, but the gentle giant of the USC Kenny Florian.

That's the first never been called a giant before, but speaking of giants, look at the huge fight car for tonight.

It's filled with giant killers.

We got to start with tonight's main event, returning champion Tombstone facing Gigabyte.

Tombstone is coming off a huge win against Minitar.

He reminded everyone why he is still the boss and will only be satisfied with back-to-back champion chips.

His opponent?

You met him at the top of the show.

A team with a legendary edigree.

Brent Breiker and Gigabyte.

Can they take down the king once again?

We'll find out later tonight.

And look at the rest of this fight card.

We've got a battle of old blood versus new with lock jaw and endgame.

22-year-old Jack Barker, failing from New Zealand, completely dominated Captain Shredderator in his battle-bots debut.

Tonight, they'll get the chance to prove whether or not he's truly a contender.

But he has an uphill battle against lock jaw and winner of six giant nuts, Donald Hudson.

And also, we got two teams who are kicking off their season tonight.

Lucky, who's 11,000 pounds of force is enough to flip a washing machine.

We'll square up against the diamond tip blade of Scorpius.

A rescue saw used by firefighters to carve up vehicles and building.

And you know what I'm really excited for?

The Battlebots debut of Battle Royale with cheese.

Hide your arteries, Kenny, because nine out of ten doctors recommend you stay far away from this killer spinning slab of bacon.

He's going to be fending off a nasty, spring-loaded burger flipper in tantrum.

I can't wait to see that one.

Me neither, Kenny.

But to start things off, we got a great one for you.

Red Devil versus Montsoon.

Robbie Bobbalal is 1-0 with an impressive victory this season.

He went toe-to-toe with Brutus in a grueling shoving match.

Brewing Red Devil has some serious endurance on the way to earning a knockout.

This should be interesting against newcomer Tom Brewster coming from the UK in his Battlebots debut with Montsoon.

It's a vertical bar spinner with a frightening top speed of 242 miles per hour.

That weapon is mounted on a pivot, allowing it to operate effectively, even if the robot is flipped.

Will this untested design deliver inside the box?

In the Red Square, this devil went down to Georgia.

He was looking for some parts to seal.

The strategy has got to be avoid contacts until we can subvert the weapon and they just go in for a great big hit.

We want to get this done within two minutes, before the kill cells come up, right?

We're hoping it can do the job.

Today we're running Red Devil with the Plough configuration to heavily armoured front end.

The strategy is to realistically out drive him and try to get to the left or the right of their weapon,

where we can get the saw down into the enterance and then do some damage.

After getting badly beat up in that first minute, Red Devil can't go on the offensive now

and try to control this pushing match!

There was still enough time for that to claw their way back into this one!

Now Montsoon trying to bully Red Devil up against the screws!

Nice hit there for Montsoon!

Look at the strength of Red Devil!

I tell you what, Red Devil looks way different than when this might start!

Back and forth, that goes!

Now remember, Robbie of Red Devil won his opening match against Brutus in a very similar fashion!

With both weapons gone, the judges are going to be looking for control now, the rest of the match!

Montsoon, he thought he had this in the back, but Red Devil, he's tougher than most!

Now the kill-saws will be act-demand!

We'll see if those do any damage to the boss!

Montsoon in a shoving match here!

You see that chassis raising up that's preventing Red Devil from getting on top?

It's a real stalemate at this point!

Red Devil has 30 seconds to try and get Montsoon into the screws or have something happen to that fight!

The law and a power going at it right there, Chris!

Well, Montsoon's getting an angle right there, he's getting those forks underneath Red Devil!

It's been the forks against the plow!

Closing in on 10 seconds!

Oh! The kill-saws get a piece of Red Devil!

But it's not going to matter!

An unexpected stalemate after those huge opening exchanges!

One-away to open the night here at Battlebots, Tom, Brewster and his crew!

Celebrating even though this one's going to the judges!

Kenny, it did not take long for Montsoon to establish itself!

No, these guys wanted to throw down from the first second of the fight!

Montsoon with that deadly force spinner!

My goodness, took the saw right off the Red Devil!

Probably 10-15 seconds into this match!

At that point, Red Devil pretty much became a miniature snow plow!

He did, but he used that moddy to full effect taking out Montsoon's weapon and wrestling him to the very end!

It was an impressive comeback, but wasn't enough to take the all-important W!

Yeah, and the way Tom Brewster came out here tonight at 23 years old in his Battlebots debut, unbelievable!

Pretty darn impressive.

If you look at those front two wedges, they're designed to help and get underneath opponents for optimal flipping power!

Let's talk about his opponent, Orion Meach and Scorpios!

This is a vertical saw platform, and that blade is no joke!

The teeth contain diamond crystals, able to saw through the hardest materials on Earth!

So if this bot scoops you're in serious trouble!

Kenny, what are the keys to this fight?

Well for Scorpios he's gonna rack up points by pinning his opponent and using that rescue blade to saw through anything and everything!

Those exposed wheels leave it defenseless on its sides, he's gonna have to stay squared up to Lucky!

I de-lead that flipper on Lucky is gonna get under Scorpios and flip him out of the arena!
