Tomorrow's gonna suck.
Joshua convinced Danielle he was going to vote for himself.
I'm just gonna vote for me.
But when he voted for Danielle instead...
Danielle, you will be going into the nerd-off.
A civil war began.
You wouldn't lie to someone if they were your friend.
With her teammates rooting against her,
Danielle battled Brandon in the nerd-off... goal! Whoo!
And won easily.
I pretty much just got slaughtered.
With team servants of the forsaken orb
worried about future conflict...
That's gonna be your mess to clean up.
Everybody's favorite nerd said good-bye...
I'm gonna miss you guys.
And Brandon's hopes of sitting atop the throne of games
and being crowned king of the nerds were dashed.
You did a really awesome job, Danielle.
Thanks.
I'm feeling kinda like a badass
because I don't think anybody expected me to win.
That really happened?
My team almost seemed disappointed.
Screw you guys.
Brandon.
We definitely knocked out the soul of the other team.
I'm that much closer to getting my crown.
How was the transition from working the controls
on the r.C. Car to the bigger ones?
It's irrelevant.
Yep.
I would like to think that me and Danielle can move forward.
I know that it's still in the back of her head.
She's kind of a ticking time bomb.
Nice chatting with you guys.
Joshua has hurt the morale on orange team.
Hope the drama isn't too bad on orange team.
It's there's no drama.
We all love each other.
There's a social wound there,
and it's going to get infected.
Who didn't go through an Indiana Jones phase
where everyone wanted a bullwhip?
I used to have a crappy one.
I know she sounds okay.
At some point if it's organic
and she wants to talk about it, then that's her choice,
but at this point we have to rally around the competition
to be a team together.
Danielle has every right to be mad.
I just don't want it sitting
in the back of her head, like, unresolved.
I know, but when the wounds are less fresh, my friend.
Whatever she might feel,
whether it's "oh, my God, it's three against one",
so I need to play nice,"
or "oh, my God, I'm gonna see these burn,"
I don't know, but tonight's not the night to dig that out.
I think we'll be fine from here on out.
I believe you. And tomorrow's the new day.
I wish I'd done the fire bullwhip.
- Good morning, Celeste. - Morning.
- We got French toast, pancakes. - Pancakes. Nice.
It's a new day and let's get ready to win a nerd war.
We don't like what losing tastes like.
We haven't done a swimming challenge yet.
If there's a swimming thing, I recommend me.
What the heck?
Awkward.
I'm really good at swimming.
Calling all super nerds!
Calling all super nerds!
Come on, they're dressed up in superhero outfits.
That's so cool.
Rockin' those abs.
But it's so nerdy.
We're all nerds.
Did you know that?
This week's nerd war is...
A live debate on the topic of superheroes!
This was the thing I did not wanna do.
And now I'm totally out of my comfort zone.
You will find your debate topics in your war rooms.
It is up to you to choose which member of your team
debates which topic.
You'll be judged by three experts in the field.
I'm really excited because maybe they got Joss Whedon
or Paul Dini or grant morrison or...
Um, any of the other guys that do stuff.
You have two hours to prepare for the debate.
Good luck, nerds.
And back to Nerdvana.
What's that? You want us to debate?
Oh, oh, hey, let me go and look at my resume real fast.
Uh, oh, yeah, "hosted a live geek debate show."
Bring it.
Come on, nerdman.
Let's hit it.
- To the lair! - To the lair!
Well, well, well.
Okay, get on in here.
So we're starting to figure out who gets what topic.
I have zero experience with debates.
I'm.
If you could just give me the easiest topic to debate.
Yeah, okay, so we're gonna give you...
And you'll be debating against that one.
Celeste knows nothing about comics.
And she gets stage fright.
Stage fright plus not a lot of knowledge... disaster?
I'll take one. I like one better.
I'm arguing that mutants
should be serum-ed to take away their powers.
That's actually the topic
of the current Joss Whedon amazing X-Men series
astonishing X-Men...
Joss Whedon might be one of the people!
Going into debates like this, it's very important
to think of the opposite side of it
so you have your rebuttal ready. Yeah.
I'm in my element.
These topics are like nothing for me.
I would like to do the "superheroes attract supervillains."
"Superheroes attract supervillains."
I'd really like that one.
I immediately attached to the presence of good guys
attracting bad guys and causing more problems in society
versus benefits.
Because I've actually done an argument
- like this before. - Okay.
Joshua is bragging about how he's this great debater.
If you have all of this experience,
like, why do you get to take the clear easiest topic?
I don't wanna do the preferable one.
Comic books are not my forte.
- Are you more comfortable with this one? - Yeah.
If you feel like that one's easier for you,
then I'm happy to take this one.
I have to debate on why it's better
to be born into superpowers than it is to be genetically altered.
So go ahead, please take this one.
- Okay. - We need to win this nerd war.
I'm tired of having to pick up the pieces
and put it back together again.
So do you wanna read your for us and we can offer suggestions?
Yeah, yeah.
Yay for being... Superpower comic reading.
Superpowers that come to people later on in life is much better
because they have passed their awkward stages of puberty.
Whereas children with powers don't know their own strength
and have the possibility of hurting their siblings or parents.
You have a furrow in your brow.
You have to tie into the question better.
It's a rough draft.
One thing I think is you need more specific examples.
And that's why I was going to be pulling from nyx,
'cause in nyx, the girl has the power to stop time
and when she stops time to move,
she moves out of the way of a bullet that's coming at her
and then it shoots a teacher.
I don't think that's addressing the question enough.
In the beginning, Genevieve and I did connect over Batman.
But now there's definitely an underlying resentment
on both of our sides.
Hey, Celeste.
I have some tips for yours, Celeste,
whenever you feel up to it.
I'm a little worried about Celeste.
Celeste is a little stressed out.
I mean, I've helped Celeste a little.
Alana's been helping Celeste a little.
It's currently unclear
how beneficial it's all gonna be, but we're trying.
Okay, so immunity to prosecution is totally ridiculous.
So here's the reason why.
Just as a society we're already used to the idea
of human being with different levels of abilities
being governed under the same law,
mutants are just a natural extension of this.
You just draw out the line a little bit more.
Maybe even do, like, a little motion.
There's just so many things going through my head right now
that I can't even think straight.
It's, like, it's just preposterous.
It's just completely absurd.
I don't like looking dumb in front of people.
I pres... okay. Okay.
I presume there should be som... okay.
There should clear... okay. Okay. All right.
Number one.
How are you feeling about yours right now, Danielle?
I wanted the one Joshua had.
I'm arguing a superhero should be able to act
without fear of prosecution.
I can help you with yours.
I don't want Joshua's help
because he's a liar that cannot be trusted, so...
You are in the stance where a theoretical argu...
listen, you're the expert at debating!
