Chicago
ordinary cops were losing the battle.
The criminal mastermind called Overlord and his superfreaks
held our city in their terrifying grip.
Then, a miracle happened.
When I found him, he had no memory of his past.
I helped him find an identity, and a life.
Now we have a fighting chance.
Now we have the Dragon.
Get back, copper!
Heading east to 17th.
You ready to test that freak phaser prototype?
Locked and loaded.
Hey!
Cool.
Would you watch it with that thing?
You're supposed to stun the bad guys, not toast yours truly.
Not a bad jump.
Almost as good as the Raging Bull himself.
Don't remind me.
It's bad enough they make a cheesy TV show based on my job.
But that goofball freak they got in the lead.
Just doin' my job.
I'm a freak with a badge.
I dunno, he's kinda sexy.
All right, Bull.
You'll give us your line, then start across the wire.
Make it stunt worthy, and action.
Just doin' my job.
I'm a freak with a badge.
Clear the area, police emergency!
This is not in the script!
Get me some light up there.
What?
These dance floors get smaller every year.
Dragon, get clear.
I've got a shot!
You heard her, get clear loser!
Dragon!
Alex, look out!
Arachnid falling!
Don't worry, you're safe, and that's no bull.
Oh no.
You're under arrest.
You okay, Alex?
I'm just fine, partner.
And cut, yes!
And it's all on tape.
Get the publicity department.
Raging Bull saves Dragon partner, Alex Wilde.
Actor cop shows up real life Dragon!
In our top story, life imitates art
as the freak actor, Raging Bull,
assists real life cop, the Savage Dragon
in making an arrest.
Ha, hey Dragon, you forgot to say quote,
"Just doin' my job.
"I'm a freak with a badge."
Put a sock in it, Gilroy,
before I stuff in a couple of mine.
Ah, you'd be doin' me a favor.
Probably taste better than this diet Mendoza's got me on.
You cannot hold Arachnid.
What charge?
For one thing, firing an unlicensed missile launcher
at a police officer.
So, it's Chicago.
Yeah, well just because everybody does it
doesn't make it legal.
This outrage!
Arachnid protest, go on hunger strike.
Refuse to eat anybody.
Oh yeah, well then you two miseries
can keep each other company.
In real news, it would appear that the relationship
which started when TV actor Raging Bull
saved Chicago cop Alexandria Wilde,
has blossomed into a full scale romance.
The pair have been spotted in several restaurants
and society parties around Chicago,
and it's certain the Bull is interested
in more than just her badge number.
Are ya sure you don't want it?
Well, wouldn't want it to go to waste or nothin'.
In the meantime, Alex Wilde's real life partner, Dragon,
whose exploits were allegedly the inspiration
for "The Raging Bull" TV show had this to say to reporters.
Get out of my face.
Officer Dragon has been frustrated
in the investigation of a recent string
of high rise robberies that are reportedly
netting a vast fortune for the Vicious Circle.
Police have no leads.
No leads.
Of course we got no leads.
My partner's so gaga about an oversize cow patty
that she can't even concentrate.
Oh, like it's my fault the guy calls me?
Just because I have a life
doesn't mean I'm not concentrating.
Yeah, but on what?
Cheap shot.
You wanna take that back, or do I have to smack you around?
You do know how to tempt a guy.
But, oh, look up there.
Oh man, another high rise robbery.
We're there.
Thorough.
The Vicious Circle hit so many banks,
people started getting their own vaults.
Just shifted the focus.
Interesting.
Wait a minute.
What, did you find a clue?
Sorta.
What's it telling you?
We're in trouble.
A bomb!
And we're blowing.
Wishing Bull was here?
I'm just wishing I wasn't.
Are we done now?
You had to ask.
Alex, Alex!
Oh, Alex, thank goodness you're all right.
Ow.
Now that's what I like to see.
Honest, unbiased reporting showing the Dragon
to be an incompetent property destroying menace.
Play up this Raging Bull angle.
I want stories about how even this freak pretend cop
does more good than the real one.
What the heck is goin' on?
Check it out, Dragon.
The Raging Bull's here,
and he's brought horn helmets for everybody.
Oh I just got it for my sister's neighbor's kid.
Get back in there and keep an eye on Arachnid.
Okay, okay.
Don't get your fin in a knot.
I just wanted the guy's autograph.
Needs a new tailor too.
Frank, I got, what?
Oh, not you too!
Is there a problem, Officer Dragon?
Yeah, Captain, there is, look there.
You see how Bull's jacket is torn there?
Yes, so?
So, when I was at the scene of that high rise robbery,
I spotted a scrap of cloth that looked just like that.
Really, I didn't notice it in the evidence room.
It got blown up in the explosion.
So you have nothing on which to base your charge.
Now just a minute, the Dragon knows…
No evidence, and yet you are willing to accuse
the source of the most positive publicity
this department has received in a long time.
Okay, there was a tightrope at the crime scene.
The Bull can walk a tightrope, and I know what I saw.
I trust my gut.
Your gut hasn't been doing us much good lately.
The Bull has.
I'm not interested in your personal grudges, Dragon.
So let me put this in one word, lay off.
That's two words.
