It's always important to dress appropriately.

Changing my shoes for boots is a big deal for me.

Kelly's bronco is what's known as a restomod.

That's where you take a mix of old styling

And add new technology so it retains the classic look

While also providing modern comfort,

Performance, and reliability.

It's a great way to turn a clunky classic

Into a vehicle that can really go the distance.

So how did you find this bronco?

my husband and I were looking at cars,

And I was wanting something new,

And I'm not like a sports car person,

And he was sent a whole thing about this guy in ohio

That restores, like, old cars

But puts new engines in 'em so you can still use 'em,

And I was like, "oh my god, let me look,"

And then I ended up building this one,

And I got it for myself for my birthday.

Well, it's a great car, these are wonderful.

It doesn't have a name, but it does have a great story.

See, the last night I hosted the tonight show,

Craig ferguson left a broken-down bronco in my spot

As a joke retirement gift.

Well, with help from ford and sema garage,

We've rebuilt the entire thing,

And I can't wait to show it to craig,

Kinda rub his face in it.

Craig is a good friend, a comedian, and an actor,

And of course, host of the late late show

For over a decade.

that is the new engine from ford's 2020 shelby gt500,

A supercharged 5.2-liter v8 with 760 horsepower,

The most powerful engine ford has ever built,

So we had to install a custom chassis by kincer

So this bronco could handle the massive torque.

With modern braking and suspension

And a new 5-speed transmission and a custom paint job,

It's in much, much, much better condition

Than when craig gave it to me.

well, look, you've always got the story wrong about this car.

You thought I just bought this car as, like,

It was a gag for your last day of the tonight show.
