Being a flight attendant, you never know

where a new day is going to take you.

We jet-set to some of the most beautiful places

in the world,

get invited to exclusive parties,

and live extraordinary lives.

And the best part about it is, it's our job.

- Ever since I was a little girl,

I wanted to be a flight attendant.

They were these independent, confident, successful women

that were in control of their lives.

And now that's me.

- I grew up in a strict community,

where my family had a clear vision

for me to become a nurse...

Until one day I realized that wasn't what I wanted.

So I made my own decision to become a flight attendant.

I haven't looked back since.

flying is everything for me.

I've been doing it for almost nine years now,

and I'm good at what I do.

But when you travel all the time,

I've learned that sometimes

life on the ground can pass you by.

- I became a flight attendant because I love to travel.

I do have a ten-year-old son that I do need to take care of,

and he is my main focus.

Back home in Arizona,

I was destined for the white-picket-fence life

of settling down,

getting married, and having kids.

But I knew that wasn't for me.

So I headed to California and became a flight attendant.

Now I'm in control of my own destiny.

When we put on our uniform,

the world is our playground, and anything can happen.

- every time you get on the plane,

there's over a hundred new personalities,

and you never know who you're gonna meet

or what's gonna happen.

- Early-morning flights can be rough,

because you always have to put on a smile,

even if you're not feeling it.

Hi, good morning.

it always amazes me

that people bring everything they own on the plane.

That is a big bag.

It's like, "hello? You can check your bags.

It'll be there when we land."

Big bag? -

- Ladies and gentleman, welcome aboard.

From the flight deck, sit back,

relax, and enjoy the ride.

- can I get you something to drink?

- I'll take a club soda, please.

- Sure. And for you? - How you doing?

- Good. How are you doing today?

- Awesome. Enjoying yourself there?

- I am. Here you go.

- Thank you. - You're welcome.

- Looks like somebody has an I.F.B.

Who?

- Did you not see the guy in 18c?

- An I.F.B. Is an in-flight boyfriend.

It's a cute guy that you scope out to help the time fly.

Can I get you a water? - Yeah, sure.

- How's it going? - How's it going?

- We said it at the same time. - Jinx.

- You owe me a coke. - You owe me a coke.

Double jinx.

I just got out of a four-year relationship.

Things just didn't work out between us,

and I still feel very vulnerable.

My friends and I,

we're having this cocktail party tonight.

Yeah?

- You should come down and check it out.

- Give me a call. - All right.

Sounds good.

- I get business cards from guests all the time

offering to take me out.

But I've never really taken it too seriously.

- - I.F.B.

Hey.

- mommy has to go to work, okay?

Because I travel a lot for work,

my son, Taevon, lives up north with his dad.

We're not married, but we share custody,

so it works out.

Make sure you listen to your dad.

Okay.

- And do your schoolwork. - Okay.

- Be good for daddy, okay? - Okay.

another day at work, right?

- I'm excited to go back to L.A. - yeah.

- But we do have a little cleaning to do.

Got a new roomie moving in.

Get some new blood,

some new energy poppin' in the house.

Yeah, okay.

We have a new roommate moving in today,

which is great because less household bills for me.

So I'm excited about that part.

- is she gonna be there when we land?

You're like, "no."

You're like, "please, no."

- Well, I just want to get home and, like, at least be able

to unpack and maybe have a glass of wine to prepare.

- Yeah, she's definitely gonna Spice things up a little bit.

Spice, yes.

I've known our new roommate, nikole, since training,

and let's just say her personality enters the room

five minutes before she does.

- The four of us live in a house by the beach,

and we're always in and out of town,

which is typical for flight attendants.

So we call it the crash pad.

I'm trying to get the place clean for the new roomie

who's moving in today.

What about the dusting?

Come on.

- All right, I swear, I'm gonna do it. We are.

Farrah's always trying to be someone's mom.

When I get off work, I wanna chill out.

- What's up? - Hey.

- How are you guys? - Good.

So what are you guys doing? - Cleaning.

- You're doing it for us? - Yeah.

- Dusting? - Yeah, for nikole.

We're rushing for nikole?

Who is she? - Yeah.

- I'm excited about nikole coming, like, right?

- when I found out the girls were looking for a new roommate,

I found out their place was right on the beach.

L.A. has the best party scene.

It's full of beautiful people...

Perfect for me.

- I hope when I turn that doorknob,

that it all goes well.

Sometimes I tend to have bad luck with girls.

- When she pulls up with those two damn dogs,

I'm like, "oh, hell, no."

- Good. So all of us are here.

- Nikole and I used to be best friends and roommates,

but then we had a falling out, and we stopped talking.

Hopefully, she's grown up.

I know I have.

- Fort Lauderdale, in the morning.

- I know. Are you ready?

Oh, born ready.

As part of the promo team,

we get to go to all the cool company events.

And tomorrow we're launching a new city,

Fort Lauderdale, and it's gonna be big.

Mandy's gonna be there too.

- Ooh, so what are we doing tonight, hmm?

- I was invited to a cocktail party...

- Ooh. - This guy I met on the plane.

- Great. - Oh.

- I don't date people I meet on the plane anymore.

"Rotten apples"... That's what I call them.
