The first 191 lines.

My whole life, I don't know why,

I just always, always loved these cars.

This is my first time riding in one.

It so happens

first time I'm riding in one, it happens to be the Royal...

uh, King Edward VIII's car.

And it has a trident on the front

with a lion,

in matte black.

What am I gonna do?

It's not my fault.

It's meant to be.

I've always had a fascination

with traditional engines.

At the same time,

I love seeing

how the technology within these pieces has

evolved over time.

I wanted to embark on a journey

to combine the old with the new,

to find a way to appreciate

these vehicles I love from the past

and carry on their stories.

I was in England doing Fast

and there was an auction.

I'd never been to the Goodwood Revival before.

It's like the Burning Man

for vintage cars and motorcycles.

It's the perfect place for me.

I saw this car.

It was just stunning. It was beautiful.

And I wasn't gonna go over a certain amount.

And I'm sitting with the Duke

and I'm sitting with his son, Charlie,

and it's so loud there

that you can't hear what's going on.

These guys are like, "Yeah, yeah."

They're like pushing me on. We're watching the race.

I bid on it

and I ended up winning.

And it's something I've always wanted.

And I thought it was beautiful.

It's a 1929 Rolls-Royce Phantom II.

How cool is it looking down and seeing that emblem, bro?

It's fucking insane, right?

So beautiful.

I am an environmentalist at heart.

I try to do the best I can with climate change.

It really is

a deep part of my soul.

I do have a guilty pleasure.

Gas and oil.

You know, I try to offset that.

But it's something that I love.

With that, you know, we have anxiety and guilt about that,

but I have been making e-cars.

- I have so many classic cars-- - Oh.

...and I'm a huge-- you know,

it's my kind of addiction is gas and oil.

And I have plenty of those.

So I always wanted to take something like this because...

it's so quiet anyways, right?

I've never seen a Phantom as an e-car.

So I'm like,

let's make it an e-car.

Let's try it.

In order to pull off this dream project,

I had to find the right partner.

I needed a team that would appreciate

the storied history of this car

while updating its technology.

What Electrogenic does

when we're looking at old cars is

we never drill anything. We never cut anything.

We don't ever take anything away from the car.

We simply unbolt

the parts that we don't need,

and then we design around what's left.

Whoa.

You know what? This would be the first time

I've ever ridden in a Porsche.

-Really? -I've never been in a Porsche.

I've never even sat in a Porsche.

- Let's go then. - Yeah.

- There we go. - I'm 6'5".

Electrogenics is all about honoring vintage cars,

making them electric

without losing any of the vehicle's character.

They were the perfect fit.

I've done so much research

trying to raise awareness about deep sea mining,

and there's different ways that we can make batteries

that are healthier for our planet.

So the research that we did on this,

wanting to make an e-car,

we got with Electrogenics, who are in England,

and concepted the whole thing.

It was amazing.

It was so fast.

- And you get a shift. - Yeah.

That was the best part. Like, it's still got

the old car feel without the boring--

Like, Tesla's great and everything.

It's awesome what they do for the world.

But it's boring.

You know what I mean? I love old cars.

...boring for me. I love old cars.

And being able to be in an old car and go...

If I can go 80 miles an hour on the freeway in that thing--

I don't have to.

But if I can just jump off the line and just, like,

sit next to a Mustang and just be like,

"What's up?"

Take off and--

- Just blowing minds. - Yeah.

We needed to find a company

that's going to be able to do this

and that's when I met Electrogenic.

'Cause a lot of people I went to,

they were just like, "It's going to cost this.

It's going to cost that." I'm like, "No way."

Cut to Steve.

Super positive about the whole thing.

Shows me all the cars that he's already done.

Is really excited about it.

I had a vision of what I wanted it to look like.

Nothing like this has ever been done before.

There's no EV that looks like this.

This is a unique design

for Jason, with Jason.

It's this blend of really very ancient,

nearly 100 years old technology

and the very modern technology.

It is absolutely unique in the world.

My time at Electrogenics left me inspired

about all the possibilities of E-technology.

And I wanted to find another vintage piece

that I could infuse this into.

I wanted to find another vehicle.

Something with a unique story,

much like the Rolls-Royce.

Something with history.

I went to Tennessee

to see my friend Mike Wolfe's collection

and get inspired.

You brought my hammer.

You brought my hammer.

Mike is somebody I really admire

in the bike community.

He's built an amazing collection

and has so much knowledge he's stored over the years.

One.

Ooh!

Two original 36s.

-Bro! -Bone stock.

I really respect him and love him.

And so, he's another person who's got all these '36s,

he's got tons of bikes.

He's got all the parts.

Like, he's been to all these sheds.

He has the time to go-- He's got a show about it

where-- I don't have the time to do that.

We started talking on the phone,

getting to know each other,

and we had a lot of stuff in common.

You know, he'd been into motorcycles

for a very long time, just like I'd been.

Holy moly.

I'll take a second.

We're here, man.

- We're here. - Some of it...

-...gonna look like when I grow up? -Yeah.

-Man! -I hope so.

A lot of people would naturally judge Jason

by his success, which is easy to do.

I mean, the guy is bigger than life,

not just physically,

but, you know, spiritually.

I think there's--

there's one-- I think there's only one in here

that runs right now.

-No, there's two. There's one over there, too. -This is like--

There's two bikes that run in here.

What I love about Mike is

that he's all about appreciating these things from the past.

He's collected so many bikes,

but still has this reverence

for who and where they came from.

And I think that's important.

Being raised by my mother,

and having grown up with antiques,
