The first 200 lines.
Todd: In a lot of ways, I feel like a fool.
I left the klondike,
and I tell the whole world I'm gonna get 5,000 ounces.
It blew up in my face.
What I don't want to do, though, is let my guys down.
I want to put gold in every single one of their pockets.
And to do that, we need 1,000 ounces.
And that's what we're going for.
Parker: It's been a very different season
without my grandpa here.
I always relied on him a lot when it came to big decisions,
and it's tough without that guidance and wisdom.
Deciding to do a second wash plant --
it was a tough call to make.
Rick really had to step up, and he's done that.
But now we just have one goal left to achieve,
and I'm not leaving without that 4,000 ounces.
Poulson: Let go of me now!
Narrator: On this season finale of "gold rush"...
I feel our team is kind of falling apart.
I will resign.
This is a really dark day for our mining company.
If we stop moving at this point, we die.
We just got to keep everything going.
Bye-bye, frost.
Shut her down! Shut her down!
Ness: Oh! Blaschke: Nice!
All: Woo! Woo!
So, doumitt, what's our season total?
You ready for this one?
captions paid for by discovery communications
narrator: All season, tony beets
has been trying to barge his second dredge
from thistle creek 100 miles downriver
so he can get it producing gold on his own ground.
Kevin: You can still get warranty on it.
Finally, he's on-site with a crew, a crane,
and a barge big enough
to transport the massive sections downriver.
But, any day,
the yukon river could turn to ice.
Tony: Watch the leg! Watch his leg! Ah!
I think someone's trying to get your attention, tony.
Yep.
This is from minnie.
You bet.
Narrator: Tony owns the dredge,
but not the ground it sits on.
And he failed to get a permit
from the yukon government
before he started to move it.
Minnie: Hey.
You cannot move the dredge.
Somebody complained. And you can jump high,
and you can jump low.
You think I like it?
No. It's even worse than you think.
You can't move the dredge
because you're not allowed to put pressure on the ground.
You're not allowed to do anything there.
That thing is dead in the water right now.
You have to get a land-use permit.
No, because you're gonna end up
getting fined through the yin-yang.
You're gonna get so many fines,
it's gonna double the price on the dredge.
No, don't even think that.
Tony: Mm. It's not worth it.
You're gonna have to apply for the land-use permit,
and then you'll move it next year.
Narrator: In a last-ditch attempt
to salvage his disastrous season,
todd hoffman is running two crews
and two claims -- sacramento and fairplay.
Todd: It's really late in the season,
but I want 1,000 ounces before the snow flies.
Wow. That looks flipping good, man.
Narrator: Freddy dodge and trey poulson
are running the mine at fairplay.
And they're on a hot pay streak.
Friggin' awesome.
Just think it --
think about all the rest of that's all virgin.
Narrator: But at sacramento,
dave turin is struggling to produce half as much gold.
I'm depressed because there's no gold,
and everybody's frustrated.
I -- I feel bad.
The guys at fairplay --
they're carrying the ball right now.
We got to get sacramento paying,
but the gold's not there yet.
Narrator: Dave's working flat out and feeling the pressure.
I'm a leader.
Um, I feel like I've let the guys down.
I'm 57 years old.
And it feels like, at times, I'm just a-another worker.
I'm just another loader operator.
And so, I don't know.
I mean, it's been a tough year.
Todd: There we go.
Narrator: Todd's testing different parts of the claim
in an attempt to find a richer seam.
Producer: Todd. Todd: What?
The radio's going. If you guys can hear that stuff,
you got to let me know.
I can't hear anything.
Yeah, freddy, what's up?
I'll go ahead and shut down,
send dave down there with the loader.
He ain't gonna be happy, though.
Dave, you got a second?
Turin: Go ahead. Fairplay's shut down.
They're broke down?
Their loaders are broke down over there.
If we can shut down and get that loader over there,
we can at least get fairplay running again.
We can save their ass for a little while.
Go ahead and run that over there, dave.
All right. I'm headed out.
I can't believe it.
It kind of pisses me off.
Seems like every time they break down,
we have to shut down.
This is bull
we're not producing as much gold.
Sometimes, you got to sacrifice to keep the mothership running.
Right now, the mothership is fairplay.
Hey! Shut this down!
I'll do the pumps and the bypass.
Freddy: Let's -- one of you's got to stop!
Poulson: Let go of me now!
I'm gonna kill him right now!
Turin: No, you won't! Let me at him!
Hey, knock it off!
Freddy: Trey!
Dave, trey, one of you just stop!
walk away! Please.
I'm not gonna stop.
dave!
Get down here now.
Chicken is that your best shot?
Poulson: No, it wasn't... Freddy: Hey! Dave.
You know... Was that your best shot?
trey! No.
Dave, please. Please, dave.
Let -- let... Bring the fury down.
bring the fury down.
done with that
like that. Bring a piece of
please, dave, let go...
Producer: Hey. Get down there. Coward.
Freddy: Just stop. Hiatt: Knock it off!
Trey? Trey!
Let's go. Follow me.
What's going on?
Battle of two bad tempers.
Whose?
Dave's? Dave and trey.
Where are they? Dave left.
Producer: Dave is with andy.
What do you mean, "he's with andy"?
He -- he... They okay?
Finally got him to walk away.
No! It's not good.
They weren't gonna stop.
Did they fight? They get in a fight?
Yeah. No.
trey!
Dave! You okay?
Turin: Get the... Dave!
Dave! Whoa, whoa, whoa!
No, no, no, no!
Trey, trey! I'm gonna kill you!
Trey! Trey!
Trey! Spinks: I got him, I got him!
Come on! Stop it.
Trey! Get your hand off of me!
it's gonna be even...
Stop! Stop! Trey!
Let go of me right this minute.
Trey, please! Andy, I need your help!
walk! Let's walk!
Trav, let's walk! Let's walk! Walk.
this wants...
Come on. Let's walk. Trey, come on.
Walk! Let's walk!
Trey, me and you been friends forever, please!
Everything I own's on the line here,
I know it is. At this mine.
I'll walk. No, you aren't.
Todd: No, no. Let's walk. No, trey.
Nobody's quitting.
chicken
trey!
Let's walk.
I'm not gonna take some back jumping let him out.
Walk, let's walk.
