The first 200 lines.

Previously on "The Outpost"...

Put your hand in the fire.

Good boy.

You must save them.

We don't have the means of reviving

even one more of your people, let alone thousands.

If they aren't woken soon, they will all die like this.

- The Six are on their way here. - Are you in possession of the Ahl-Kora blades?

- The Ahl-Kora blades? - They was supposed to be passed

- from generation to generation. - My mother's blade.

Only these weapons can be used

to separate the souls of my kind into kinj form.

Each of the Seven are physically unable to act

against the collective will of the group,

so I had humans use the Ahl-Kora blades to put the others to rest.

The Six must be sent to their deaths by you.

You spent this whole time searching for a world deadly enough to kill the Six,

and now I'm going to have to be the one to actually send them there?

Yes.

- I want to know why. - I've already told you.

I can't act against the other six.

Well, can you at least try?

- Can you not pull together enough willpower to defy them? - It's not about willpower.

It's about who we are as a species.

We're all connected, all seven.

One mind, one purpose...

To propagate by consuming other worlds.

- And you're betraying that purpose? - Yes.

My betrayal is the only way to end this cycle of destruction.

Because of the interconnectedness of the Seven,

I cannot be the one to physically do it.

That is why you need to prepare for what is coming.

The void.

A place more dark and cold than you can ever imagine.

Stop. Your hand would freeze before you even realized it.

- Then why show me? - You have to be able to see the void in your mind.

That's where you have to send them.

And how am I going to do that?

You're the one with the kinj.

You'll have to take it back.

That means I would have to...

Kill me with the Ahl-Kora blade.

There has to be another way.

Can you not just pass it to me like I did to you?

You were able to pass the kinj willingly because it didn't belong to you.

The only way to take it from one of us

is to put us down with the Ahl-Kora.

I don't want to kill you.

I appreciate that,

but there is no other way, Talon.

We have to give up something good for something better.

You will lose me, but you will save your world, everyone you love.

One life for many.

Tell me what to do.

I mean, well, it's not the worst plan we've ever pulled off, right?

I'm not so sure.

All six of them together? They're too powerful.

And I don't know if I can do it alone.

Alone?

You're not alone.

I'll be there, and Zed and Janzo and Wren.

- We'll be there. - I know. I'm sorry.

What I mean is that I'm the one who has to

somehow open this portal to this frozen void place.

- What if I can't do it? - You can do it.

I know you can, and I will do whatever it takes to help you through this.

- Don't say that. - Say what?

That you'll do whatever it takes.

I lost everyone I love.

Now, we are getting married.

We both have to survive this thing, right?

You're not getting out of it that easily.

That's not funny.

After everything that we've survived,

this cannot be the end of us.

Janzo, would you please hurry up?

This thing is heavier than it looks.

This plan's unacceptable anyway.

We should be saving the Kahvi.

If there's any preparations to be made,

it should be down there, not up here.

Oh, please focus, Janzo!

You can let go now.

See? It wasn't that bloody hard, was it?

- Idiot. - Well done, Janzo.

Wren, Janzo, there you are. When can we save the Kahvi?

Marvyn, um, we seem to have hit a bit of a roadblock with that.

Roadblock? What does that mean?

Roadblock, when someone puts a cart or a barrier across a roadway...

It's not important. It's a form of expression.

It means when something's in our way in regards to a plan.

- What is in our way? - Has anyone seen Aster?

Yes, our roadblock is up there on the wall

just mumbling to himself.

- A roadblock? - Aster doesn't seem to care in the least about the Kahvi.

They are living, breathing, intelligent, and caring people.

I mean, just look at him, Talon.

He's practically the same species as Aster,

if not pretty damn close.

Aster sees them as soldiers to the Masters,

which in his mind makes him a danger to all of us.

I'm not a danger to you.

But the rest of the Kahvi could be.

You could teach them like you did me.

- Mm-hmm. - How many people did you hurt

or almost kill before you learned?

We can't risk that happening with thousands of them.

This could be different, Talon.

This time they'll be learning

from one of their own, from Marvyn.

It's too big of a risk.

We could be unleashing an army onto all our people.

The Kahvi are just as much people as humans and Blackbloods.

If we are so cowardly as to let them die, then why are we worth saving?

Can you sense them coming?

Yes. They'll be here soon.

Are you ready?

How do you know I'll be able to open the portal to the void?

My kinj is part of me. It has my memories.

Just picture it in your mind and it should come to you.

- But what if it doesn't work? - It has to.

Why don't you want to save the Kahvi?

They're just as much your people as we are.

Because there's no telling

what they might do to your world.

Isn't that true for any other species?

He is one of the Masters.

So you revived one of them then?

Has he not killed anyone? Surely, he must've tried.

- We're teaching him how to choose. - I see.

So you would risk your own people, your own children,

for these inferior creatures?

Kahvi are not inferior.

It is only the Masters who enforced us to be cruel to others.

But I do not serve you anymore

and I choose not to hurt anyone,

except perhaps the Masters.

Remarkable, but still, to revive the Kahvi

requires all seven, including myself,

united together around the Skevikor altar.

That is exactly what Vorta wants.

We'd play right into her hands.

But it is possible?

Possible? Maybe.

Successful? Unlikely.

Dangerous? Very.

- You need me to expel the Six? - Yes.

Then I don't care how dangerous it would be.

I'm not doing any plan unless it involves saving the Kahvi.

You remind me of someone that died 1,000 years before you were born,

someone with your name.

You are just like her.

Is there someone in that cave you care about?

I care about them all. They are my people.

But I care most about my lokma, my daughter, who I love very much.

We should save her then, shouldn't we?

When the hands of the Seven are all in their place, the channel is open.

Janya will pass the life she's been collecting down into the Kahvi.

And as soon as that's done, the Kahvi will be saved?

From death, not from enslavement.

Even before Janya finishes delivering the life force,

Vorta will send her kinj into their brains to control the Kahvi.

There'll be no time in between.

So we need to let Janya finish

but stop them before Vorta's kinjes reach them.

We will stop them at just the right moment.

Your confidence is misplaced. There are six of them.

Together the Six are twice as powerful as they are when they are apart.

How many of you are even real warriors? Certainly not these two.

Then there must be a better way, one that's less risky.

- I'm open to suggestion. - No, we can do this.

We have the element of surprise.

If that's all you have then you'll need to move fast

to send them into the void, all of them.

If even one remains, there is still danger.

Well, is there even a chance this plan will work?

To be perfectly honest with you,

I think it's more likely that you will all die today.

Not exactly the encouragement we were looking for.

We're out of time. They come.

- Are you ready? - Do I really have a choice?

Let's go.

It looks abandoned.

Aster is there. He's all that matters now.

I'm ready to make Aster pay.

There will be time for revenge,

but first we need him to revive our army.

We meet again, betrayer.

What kind of being betrays his own kind?

I did what I thought was right.

We do not need this world.

There are other worlds, green and lush like this one

but without sentient creatures inhabiting them.

I will take us to one of them.

Is that so? Show us.

I'll show you after we revive the Khavi,

but you must agree not to hurt the people of this world.

- Then I will take us there. - Liar.

You think you can betray us again.

It doesn't have to come to this.
