Unreal. Guys, I've been waiting a long time to say this,

welcome to Lego Masters Grandmasters!

Here at Lego Masters we have a tradition.

Every five years we take the best of the best

and we do Lego Grandmasters.

And then every forty years we take the winner of all the Grandmasters

and we do Great Grandmasters.

Today though is the beginning of Grandmasters.

Now, what does it take to be a Grandmaster?

Well, who we've got in front of us, the 16 of you in here.

We have got past winners,

grand finalists,

winners of Bricksmas?

And wildcard or cards.

Some hair has lengthened, some... Oh!

Geez, we've lost...

You are all elite Lego builders.

This is the cream of the crop.

I think we were just starting to peak when we made it to the finals

so I'm really excited to see how much further we can go.

Before we begin, this is usually the bit, you would know,

where we talk about the immunity brick,

the brick with special powers.

Now, just due to a few scheduling things

and obviously like, this season kinda crept up on me,

the brick itself is not finished.

It's so special, it's still being made.

This build is called City in the Sky.

Your challenge is simply to build

your world floating around a central one.

What that is, who lives there,

what it's all about, that's up to you, that's the story.

Brickman, not as easy as it seems.

No. We're balancing on a single cable.

The balance point of these models is super fine.

It's all about creating your world,

telling the incredible story of whoever that civilisation is,

but of course it must be perfectly balanced when the time's up.

So, a much trickier technical aspect to this build

than perhaps people have seen in first episodes before

but it's Grandmasters.

You have to have a level of grandness to each build.

Usually you build like this, we do 16 hours.

But you're Grandmasters so we expect a slightly quicker work rate.

And I have a golf lesson so...
